WOW! The BEST Waters Edge 205! Direct Beachfront Condo! Family Friendly/Big Pool

We rented this condo for a bachelorette trip, and it was wonderful! You are right on the beach and the condo is surprisingly roomy. The master bathroom is huge, so seven girls getting ready at the same time wasn't an issue. We enjoyed cooking in the nice kitchen, too. Also, it was really nice to have a code instead of a key, and everything was really clean. One tiny complaint is the bed in the second bedroom was a little uncomfortable and loud, but I'm still giving this place five stars because it was perfect otherwise! I would definitely book it again!

This is a lovely unit. It is updated and has beautiful, tasteful decor. It was spotless on check-in. It is in a great location and is steps from the elevator and stairs.

The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes and everything you need to cook. (But with all the great restaurant options in FWB, why cook on vacation?) The unit is spacious, and there was plenty of room for six of us to spread out. There are beach chairs and beach toys in the condo for guests to use. My teen and young adult children really appreciated the USB charging blocks throughout the unit. No one was fighting for outlet space to charge devices.

The view from the balcony is stunning, and the balcony has four very nice, tall Adirondack chairs so you can see over the railing when you’re sitting. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to enjoy the balcony much on this visit due to the heavy smokers in the unit below ours who were on their patio smoking every time we went out. (This is a property issue, not an issue with this condo. I wish Waters Edge would ban smoking on patios/balconies.)

Two beach chairs and an umbrella are included with the unit. We paid for an extra set up so there was plenty of shade for all of us. Elliott, the beach attendant, is super friendly, polite, and helpful. (Be sure to tip him!)

The management company, Easy Vacation Services, is aptly named, as this was our fourth summer at Waters Edge and by far the easiest booking/check-in/check-out experience we have had there. CareySue is great at communicating and is quick to answer texts/emails. She also helpfully provided a long list of favorite restaurants and other activities.

There are two very minor issues that I would bring to the owners’ attention. The mattresses on the bunk beds need to be replaced. My daughter slept on the bottom bunk, and the mattress is actually sunken down in the middle and very uncomfortable. Also, the finish on the dining table is very sticky (likely due to ocean air) making it hard to play games, etc. It might be worth providing a table cloth. We remedied the issue by purchasing a cheap, plastic table cover at Publix.

We love Waters Edge, and we loved this condo and would definitely rent it again. Thanks for helping us have a great vacation!

The unit was well maintained and clean. It had a very cozy feel and we liked the view of the landscaped area and beach which made it feel more like a house than a complex. We did enjoy the amenities though of it being a complex too, beach access/showers, pool (heated especially), and a pool area bathroom! The kitchen cabinets were well stocked with lots of plate and cups options, great for giving the kiddos something that wasn’t breakable. The kids liked the bunk bed room with built in reading lights and the adults enjoyed the tall deck chairs to see over the railing and enjoy the view best. The only minor issue was an entry code that didn’t work when we arrived but it was resolved SUPER FAST (like in just a few minutes). The communication before and during trip was great! Will stay again!

The condo was immaculate! Cleanliness is important when traveling with the family, and this happy place was superb! It's location on the second floor gives some privacy from the people below, but it allows you to have a picture perfect view. We appreciated the beach items available for the kids and kitchen was stocked with everything you need. The location on the island is just right...my younger children had the beach and my older ones could easily get to Destin shopping and entertainment. I would book this condo again in a heartbeat!

Condo is nice and comfortable, tastefully decorated, well stocked with kitchen supplies.

Master is bigger than photos show. Bunk room was smaller than expected. Though, not an issue since we didn't need the extra bedroom and used to store items out of the way. No need to bring any beach toys, chairs, floats. They have it all in the bunk room closet. Very, very nice amenity to have the four beach rental chairs. The beach attendant, Elliott (?), was very attentive and personable. The property is well maintained and saw maintenance, pool and lawn care staff working everyday. Second floor unit is nice, with better view to see over the dunes to the ocean, and only steps away from the stairwell. Nice covered parking helped shade the car and keep from over heating. Convenient and short drive to Publix, Destin and the fishing pier (most serious fishing pier I've ever seen). Owner is very responsive and accommodating. Would recommend and stay at this condo again.
