Staying in a dome is unlike any other building, it's geometry, spaciousness and ambience promotes a feeling of awe, peace and tranquility - a great place to relax and unwind! Our domes have been handcrafted with lots of love. Our vision was to build a sustainable, environmentally friendly building and we were fascinated by the sacred geometry of domes. We have used mainly recycled and natural materials and we make an effort to only use eco-friendly cleaning products and toiletries to minimise any chemical pollutants.
Dome Sweet Dome is connected to our main residence ( a larger dome) by an enclosed walkway, however guests have their own exclusive space and privacy as well as a private entrance and access. It is self contained and includes a kitchenette with cooking facilities including stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and some staples such as milk, oil and seasonings. All linen and towels are supplied as well as toiletries.
Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor with a queen sized bed and ensuite bathroom. Upstairs is a large mezzanine level with a queen bed and 2 single beds. Out the back there is a covered verandah with table and chairs and table tennis table available for guest use. Surrounded by gardens.
Free Wifi is available as well as Telstra TV which gives you options for watching movies, and other programs.
We are usually here to welcome you, however there is also a keybox available for self check in, and a unique code will be sent to you. You are welcome to walk around our property and enjoy the gardens, space and bird life. We respect your privacy but are also available nearby on property if any assistance or information is needed. Lots of written information about the local area, attractions and things to do are available in the information folder and books provided in the dome for guests to peruse. We are happy to give suggestions on different activities and bushwalks and have available extensive written information on the many bushwalks in the Blue Mountains National Park.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

quiet, everything we needed, interesting construction.
We had an excellent time. It was quiet, and roomy and so many unexpected tasty extra things in the kitchen which was fully equiped. It was very clean and the bathroom had all that was needed. We were in and out a lot so didn't check-up the Netflix but a nice screen. Anne and Tom were very friendly. We were impressed by the dome construction based on the architect Richard Buckminster Fuller's geodesic dome. Thank you Anne.
Stunning Architecture with comfortable accommodation
We chose this property not just for the amazing architecture but because it also catered well for our elderly mother with its accessible bathroom.
Upstairs in the open plan area were one double and two singles which suited us just fine. We did have to access the bathroom through our mother's double bedroom. Perfect for a family grouping that doesn't mind sharing. The wood panelling interior and pentagonal/triangular windows gave a romantic feel.
There is a lovely undercover outdoor area with seating and games and access to a garden.
Everything needed was provided and Anne and Tom were very hospitable and welcoming. The location was easy to find, halfway between Lawson and Wentworth Falls. We hope to return some day.
Was so beautiful and serene, smooth check in, wonderful and communicative owner. Close to everything and Anne was there to help with advice whenever needed.
This was the perfect base for our family of 5 to explore the Lawson area. Impeccably clean with good quality linen and lots of thoughtful extras such as soaps and hand lotions. Well stocked with books, board games, takeaway menus, plenty of blankets and all you'd need in the kitchen. The kids loved the garden and the novelty of seeing the stars through the dome windows. Anne was there for our arrival and departure, but otherwise left us to our own devices. Highly recommended.
Hi Some Sweet Dome is a peaceful, lovely spot, with all the amenities needed for a quiet break rom reality; the views were incredible, falling asleep to the moon and stars and waking to the sunshine and eventual mist and raindrops of the day was such a pleasant end and start to each day during our stay...would definitely visit the Dome again. :-)

Why they chose this property
I love living within a National Park. The Blue Mountains are a spectacular place to live with fresh air, loads of space, amazing views, bushwalks and waterfalls. We are on half an acre of land, I love gardening and growing vegetables and as many herbs as I can. And we are only an 1 and 1/2 - 2 hours from Sydney.
What makes this property unique
My partner and I built the geodesic domes ourselves after much research into looking at environment friendly homes and building techniques. It was handcrafted and built with much love, there is some quirkiness in it as well as awesome geometry to uplift and amaze. The huge pentagon window brings in lots of natural light as well as an amazing view of the night sky.
