Normanville vacation home

The Lobster is all about making memories. A renovated 70's a-frame that instantly transports you back to long simple beach days. A fantastic spot in a quiet street only minutes walk to Normy Beach and the Main street shops, cafes and pub. Leave the car at home and explore the beautiful seaside town by foot.

The Lobster is the perfect getaway for couples, friends or families sleeping up to 8 guests, and can be enjoyed at any time of the year.

OUTDOORS
The Lobster is set on a fully fenced in 800 square meter block with a huge lawn and deck where the kids and family dog can play. The property is dotted with a variety of fruit trees and we encourage you to enjoy the produce if you are lucky enough for them to be fruiting during your stay. There is also an outdoor bath to wallow in and an outdoor shower to rinse off in after your beach visit, both with hot and cold water.

CONFIGURATION
The Lobster is a double brick, two story home with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and 2 toilets. The main living area features an open plan lounge room, dining and kitchen area capturing the garden views. The laundry and main bathroom lead from the kitchen area. One of the queen bedrooms is also down stairs. Upstairs leads to an extra toilet and two large bedrooms on either side of the landing, one with 2 bunks (4 single beds) and the other with a queen bed. The queen bedroom features a large private balcony with deck chairs and a 180 degree view of the garden, paddock, sand dunes and sea glimpses.

PET FRIENDLY
We understand that your four-legged friend is part of your family too so we welcome your well behaved pooch. Both Normanville and Carrickalinga beach are dog friendly.

Cosy comfy stay at Normanville. There were 3 of us so it was great to each have our own rooms. We walked to the beach (15mins), we walked to Carrickalinga beach (about 30mins) we walked to town (about 10 mins) so such an easy well located spot! Well equiped kitchen and gorgeously appointed place. The garden is a birds paradise!

This is such a a wonderful, 'feel good' property. Time was spent listening to birdsong, basking in winter sun, playing with my dog in the glorious backyard. I felt completely at home and welcomed here.

Just fantastic!

This was the first time we'd hired a house and The Lobster Cottage was amazing! We loved the house and all the facilities and the fully fenced garden was brilliant for our dog (who was having his first holiday!). The welcome bottle of sparkles was a lovely touch. From reading the visitors book a lot of people are repeat guests and I'm sure we'll be heading back there again. It was great to have queen rooms upstairs and downstairs if anyone had mobility issues. Just magical!

Perfect spot for golfing holiday

I can't say enough about this host and the property. The property itself was even better than the photos and we enjoyed everything about it. Our two dogs loved the secure yard and runs on the dog friendly beach close by, (check times of the year). Golf courses were also fantastic! Thanks for a brilliant experience and see you again!

Perfect spot!

We had the most loveliest stay at The Lobster house. Everything about the place was exactly what we wanted. The house was gorgeous, all the things you could want for a holiday away with the family. The backyard is beyond stunning and the location was perfect. My young kids had the best time playing in the backyard and cannot wait to go back to the "lobster house" Thanks Bronnie and family for the stay!

Our favourite place to retreat

Our fourth stay at The Lobster was as relaxed as ever! Due to an unexpected heatwave we spent much more time in the outdoor bath than usual which was wonderful. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful home away from home!

We couldn't have found a more lovely, well maintained property to stay at! Bronnie communicated all of the details and was a pleasure to talk to. The bedrooms & living area are relaxing, lovely soft couches and beds. Loved playing the fun board games provided and outdoor quoits on the soft grass. There's even an outdoor bath/shower with hot water after coming back from a day on the beach! Make sure you spend some time sitting on the large back deck while parrots, willywag tales and family birds move about the gardens. Can't wait to stay again!

The Lobster

We had a wonderful stay at the Lobster. Pip’s communication was prompt and helpful. The house was clean and very well presented. It had a relaxed style and beautiful front gardens to enjoy. It is close to all amenities. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful Stay

Perfect property which is quiet, but close enough to walk to the cafes and shops. The house has a wonderful atmosphere and plenty of places outside to enjoy beautiful weather. Communication with the owner was great.

Perfect for young family

It was just perfect size for our small family. Clean and cozy, beautiful garden and our 3yo enjoyed the cubby house and sand pit so much. So close to the Normanville town center and beach, yet so quiet in the night. Beautiful night sky. Pip was so easy to communicate too. We would love to visit again and 10/10 recommend to other people. Thank you!

Second timers!

After staying in holiday homes for 23years this is the ONLY place we have ever revisited. Its dog friendly, has a beautiful garden, linen supplied, lovely location. it’s a cosy, clean and charming home and the communication with the host is the best I’ve ever encountered.

5 Stars for the lobster house

5 stars for the lobster house! My partner doggo and I were looking for a little weekend getaway and the lobster house was perfect! Nice and bright and warm. This winter has been freezing and we were toasty the whole time. Overlooking a lush green garden, the fields and sand hills and super close to the Main Street, we didn’t want to leave. Lobster house is the perfect amount of 70’s kitsch versus modern comforts. We will be back. Thanks so much for having us pip!

Long weekend

We are so excited to have found The Lobster in Normanville - one of our most favourite towns and beaches - and look forward to creating some wonderful new memories here and hope you will too.

South Australia has many beautiful places to discover but Normanville, to us, is the perfect size. Not too busty but with everything you need. A superb beach with crystal clear water and the softest sand. Astounding coastal views to the magical hills beyond. Wineries close by and not too far from the city. Perfect.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

A classic 1970's a-frame beach house, the Lobster has been lovingly renovated to create beautiful, serene spaces that are homely and yet also sophisticated. Located just a 5 minute stroll to the town centre and a 12 minute walk to the beach you can leave the car in the driveway and unwind. From the beautiful lawn and fruit trees, to the outdoor shower and bath (with hot and cold water), secure yard, the kids' cubby house, and with multiple spaces to relax, The Lobster is special in a myriad of ways.
