About this property

1 B/1B 700sqft Modern Guest House

Located in a residential area in Silver Bluff which is 5-10 mins from Downtown/Brickell as well as Coral Gables and 15 mins away from SOBE. Completely remodeled and re-furnished, has a full bathroom, kitchen and living room as well as a small garden

This is my guest house. Its right nex to.. well, my house!
The apartment is roughly 700 sqft and has a living room/kitchen, one full bedroom and a newly remodeled bathroom. The living room has a futon so you could have an additional person sleep there for a total of 3. Everything is in mint condition and the apartment was just re-furnished.

The apartment includes, refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, toaster, coffee maker as well as high-speed internet access (105mb down, wired - 20-30 mb down wireless). There is a 46 inch flat screen TV with a ROKU, however there is NO cable. There is no washer/drier but there is a laundromat that will wash and fold your clothes very cheaply about half a mile away (they also do pick-ups for a fee).

There is also a weber Q100 gas grill outside the unit exclusively for your use, with a very nice seating area in a private side-garden.

The property is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Parking in the street.

The guest house has its own separate entrance from the house.

I live in the main house next door with my wife. We are both very busy and have a very active life. However, we are more than happy to give you suggestions for places to visit and eat. We will reply to text messages, (website hidden) or emails within minutes.

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood is conveniently located between two major commercial centers- Miracle Mile and Downtown/Brickell and it is safe and walkable. There are many restaurants and attractions walking distance from the property.

Getting Around

You are a 5 minute walk from the bus stop, a 10 minute walk from the metro station and a $5 UBER/Lyft/Taxi ride from Brickell. Miami Beach is 15 mins away.

You can also walk a couple blocks to Coral Way which offers a free trolley on most weekdays and weekends. Check the Miami Dade transit website for more information and schedule.

There are A LOT of excellent restaurants walking distance from apartment, even more if you are willing to take a cab.

Perfect weekend

The property is spotless and very tastefully decorated. It is conveniently located, parking is steps from entry, check-in process is simple. Extremely comfortable stay.

Bad Wi-Fi, bad communication, bogus charges.

Had a week stay following surgery. Has to reach out to Vrbo before my stay because host was unresponsive to questions after reservation was made. Once we got there Wi-Fi was not working. We informed host but nothing was done, so we used out hotspot. We ordered groceries to the house and the host picked them up and took them inside. We had to contact them to return our groceries to us which took awhile. My sister had gotten a Watermelon vape pen to Try while visiting Florida … we asked host if she could use it outside and were told that was fine . She tried it, did not like it and threw it out. That was the 2nd day there … we were there for 7. I was billed a smoking fee and told because we asked if she could smoke outside we were being billed because the house smelled like cigarettes. No one smokes cigarettes so I’m not sure how. All in the location was great for surgery but the hassle of everything else while trying to heal was not worth it.

It was ok

Here are the things that went wrong: 1) bathroom issues: shower wasn't clean. Recommend bring shower shower shoes (plastic sandals). Found a cockroach there the first day (not a big deal probably sneaked in from outside). Shower doesn't drain well. Water pressure is trash. Shower takes like 5 mins to warm up and when it does, it's just warm, so if you like hot showers this isn't the best place for you. No extra toilet paper. 2) General: Air conditioner is good but only to make it colder not warmer. No blankets/comforters/sheet that wasn't a fitted sheet on the bed. We found some thin sheets in the closet but ultimately had to buy a blanket. 3) kitchen: There was food in the fridge and one of the items seemed to be rotting in there. Otherwise was a pretty good kitchen. 4) wifi: The wifi instructions were wrong. The wifi was a little bad, we couldn't get though a full YouTube video without it stopping to load two to three times at worst. Then the second day the wifi stopped working, so I had to turn the router off and back on. I think that might have been a power outage. 5) Communication: this was the worst part. I'm sure some of my issues could have been improved, if the property manager would have answered my VRBO messages. The only contact I got from them was an initial message with info on how to get into the area I was staying at, and general rules. Overall it was an ok experience, but I wouldn't be coming back.

Wonderful Hideaway

This is a lovely and quite place to stay! Parking was easy and great for a neighborhood walks, centrally located for discovering the area. You must try the Wagyu Bar, great steaks and wonderful staff!

Good location but tough to deal with host

All in all this rental served our purposes. It was in a nice neighborhood & close to our family whom we were visiting. The bed was comfortable too. There were a number of issues here though. The host is difficult to reach & even VRBO Customer Servive (whom we had to enlist 2x when the host wouldn't answer) had trouble getting answers. He held out check-in info till the last minute. When we arrived the counters were sticky & filled with crumbs. There was tons of food in the freezer & some in the fridge. The bathroom was filled with personal items too. It appears someone lives here when guests aren't here. The internet access was spotty. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes not. The water in the shower took a long time to get hot then went to scalding & you couldn't adjust it from hot. The front of the silverware drawer came off if you attempted to open it. The towels were stained & there were no washcloths. All in all it served our purposes but not sure we'd want to return.

Hospitality was excellent. Location was great for us as we were getting on a cruise the next day. Although there were issues with the TV and the host was unable to get it fixed, he did everything he could to resolve the problem, which is the important thing. Would recommend staying here.

Comfortable property with great location.

My grown daughter and I stayed in this cute little guest house during the Miami Marathon weekend. It is in a great location within walking distance to restaurants, bars, a Starbucks, and a Publix. It is also very close to a Metrorail station. It was very comfortable for the two of us and our host, Luis, was very helpful and promptly addressed a couple of issues that we had. The only reason that it didn't receive a five-star rating is that the outdoor area could benefit from a little TLC. With a few plants, etc. it will be charming.

Great place to stay!

I arrived to the house and was greeted by Luis and Jennie, who are lovely. The apartment is renovated and every details had been taken cared of. It is clean, appliances work -you will have no surprises. It is very comfortable in terms of space and the location is definitely a huge plus. You have a parking space but can also take the bus and have several nice walking distance places.
