Sea Drift is the lower level unit in Sea Mist Cottage.Sea Drift is a furnished one Bedroom apartment that is 300 steps from Long Island Sound! This shabby chic apartment has a nautical twist that begs one to sit back and settle in.Sea Drift 's kitchen amenities include a new full size stove,microwave, Charbroil gas grill , air fryer,George Foreman Grill, toaster, 2 under counter refrigerators, blender, Keurig coffee maker & stainless steel sink. Utensils & dishes & glassware included.Adjacent to the kitchen is the cozy dining nook and TV relaxation area. The hallway leads to the bathroom & bedroom. The spacious bathroom has a cozy shower and functional sink vanity and mirror. Towels & bed linens provided.The ample storage area provides for plenty of room for towels, linens & dry goods. Across the Hall is the bedroom which features a queen size bed and a large closet with a tall dresser. Bed linens included. There is a small patio area with a gas grill for your use. LED outdoor light sensor lighting provides great illumination from your car to your front door in the evening. On street parking is just steps from our door.

Sea Drift is 1.5 miles from downtown Milford's variety of restaurants & shops. Friday & Saturday nights are hopping at Stonebridge with live music & lively libations & food.

Major Mall and major retailers are just a few miles down on the Post Road.

Sea Drift is close to major highways but feels a world apart from the hustle & bustle.
2 miles to I95 & the Merritt parkway. 10 minutes to RTE .8. 15 minutes to I91

Sea Drift's central location make it a short commute to New Haven, Bridgeport & Fairfield colleges for the Academic Rental Season or short term corporate rentals.

Lovely area and space

This is a terrific space for one person for a long term stay. I was here two months and got quite comfortable. I always wanted to live in a beach community in the off season. The light on the beach in the mornings was amazing. I really enjoyed my time here.

For overs of the beach

Funky space that worked well for us for one month while we were in between properties. Quiet and beach is right there. Loved access to Silver Sands State Park.

Amazing vacation dpot

My husband and I needed a getaway and beach time. We are so pleased with sea drift and the host was so nice and welcoming. The place had all our needs walk to beach in 2 mins and all restaurants are about 10 to 15 minute drive. Great food and drinks. We definitely would come back. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets.

Walnut Beach

Cannot say enough how much I enjoyed staying here. Nothing beats being right across from the ocean. It definitely felt like home. If I had to be quarantined, it would be here. Absolutely recommend it for a beach get away or for any travel nurses looking for a place to stay.

Beach Hideaway

Reminds me of a Surfer Dude pad! :) Good for anyone interested in taking advantage of the beaches, bike trails and boating in the area. Great walk ability to Boardwalk, Silver Sands and Town.

Extended summer stay

I rented Sea Drift cottage for a long term stay summer 2023 while I was co-opportunity for a company in Trumbull. The place was perfect for my needs. Peter was a great host. He is very kind and very helpful. The location is quiet and safe. I highly recommend!

We loved our stay at the Sea Drift! And Peter, the best host of any VRBO we’ve stayed. The beach was steps away, a cozy casual vibe… kayaks to Charles Island… Everything we needed and wanted, plus a beautiful garden to wake up and have coffee. On nights we didn’t feel like cooking or driving the Greek Spot was a short walk away. Just what The Doc ordered!.

Sea Drift

The property manager was pleasant and very accommodating. The rental is cluttered and also used as storage. Property is below upper living quarters, walking and plumbing could be heard throughout the night. The rental is located a couple hundred feet from Long Island Sound Beach and made for great morning walks.

Relaxing, Quiet Beach Location

We stayed at the Sea Drift to celebrate our 11th anniversary. We wanted a quiet beach location and that is exactly what we got. The Sea Drift is directly across the street from a small, peaceful beach. The apartment was small, perfect for my husband and I . It had all the amenities we needed, including beach chairs and use of kayaks if we wanted. The location is also a short walk to the boardwalk, which we ran in the morning and walked at night. Peter was a great host, responding quickly to questions and even surprising us with a bottle of wine for our anniversary. He also had great recommendations for food. We hope to return to Milford some time in the future!

Close to the beach!

We stayed July 2024 and it was perfect for us. Married couple in our mid 50s in town for a week to hang out with/near our duaghter in Milford. We walked Silver Sands and Walnut Beach - the house has some beach access across the street but Silver Sands is so close so we walked there instead. The apartment is as advertised. It's pretty small, but has everything you need, including plenty of paper towels, soaps, etc. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning and wifi worked great. The price was right for the size and the beach proximity. Must be comfortable parallel parking, as the street gets busy, but we always found a spot within a block or so. Peter answered questions quickly and was very nice, but didn't bother us otherwise (he lives upstairs). We will definitely stay again if our dates line up!

Sea Drift Cottage

I stayed with Peter @ the Sea Drift Cottage while I had my internship at the VA. Peter was great during my stay and was very helpful and responsive. Communication was great and he was very open. I spent 10 weeks here and its a beautiful location, literally steps from the ocean. There is a wonderful park with a beach and walking trails within walking distance. The town of Milford has plenty of shops and restaurants.

Great Beach Location

Peter our host was very friendly. We enjoyed our conversations. Since we formally lived in Milford we knew our way around. Silver Sands State Park was just a 5 min. walk from our location and a very nice beach with amenities. Across the street was a public access to the beach which was perfect. Our shabby chic apartment was comfortable and quiet. We would recommend staying at Sea Drift Cottage for a relaxing getaway.

A sweet getaway by the sea

I had a wonderful stay here during the month of August! Firstly, the location can't be beat-- it's just across a quiet road from a beautiful beach, and a stone's throw from Silver Sands State Park. Downtown Milford, which is also within walking distance, is very cute and friendly. The cottage itself is thoughtfully decorated, cozy, clean, and so relaxing. Last (but not least!), Peter is the perfect host. He is gracious, friendly, and very quick to respond to questions and messages. Overall, I highly recommend staying here, and would return in a heartbeat!

Great vacation spot!

Everything about this apartment was spot on. You only need to pack your bathing suit and start relaxing. Quiet neighborhood very close to the beach. Easy to walk or bike to Silver Sands Beach and Walnut Beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Long term rental

I stayed here for a long term rental and everything was amazing about my stay. The beach was just across the street, there was no trouble parking, the neighborhood is very safe, and the house was the perfects size for me. The house is separated from peters however the sound does not carry through the walls and it was always quiet. For anybody looking to rent this property, I suggest you book quickly as you will not be disappointed.

Accurate description, exceeded expectations

We had a very comfortable stay at Peter’s VBRO. Very clean and cozy linens and towels. Basic kitchen setup, fridge, sink, toaster, microwave etc. met all of our needs. Good air circulation with A/C units and ceiling fan in bedroom. Great communications with host. Only one thing to note, a hook in the bathroom for towels would be nice. (But maybe I overlooked it) highly recommend this rental.

The house has been completely remodeled. So I just moved right in and threw on my flip flops and walked to the beach.I built Sea Drift so I could rent out Sea Mist Cottage ( my upstairs unit) or Sea Drift and still be in my house!
