EirĂ° - Une retraite unique au bord du lac

Eirð est une retraite exclusive au bord de lŽeau sur la cÎte sud de lŽIslande. Il est idéalement situé sur une péninsule au bord du lac Gislholtsvatn, offrant plus d'intimité et une connexion avec la nature.

Eirð se compose d'un bùtiment principal et de trois chambres d'hÎtes spacieuses, mélangeant un ancien style de lodge scandinave à une architecture scandinave moderne.

Le bĂątiment principal comprend trois chambres, une grande cuisine, une bibliothĂšque avec un poĂȘle Ă  bois, un coin repas donnant directement sur le lac, un salon avec une cheminĂ©e et une salle de bains (une seconde est ajoutĂ©e au dĂ©but de 2019). ).

Chacune des maisons d'hÎtes dispose de deux lits simples (ou d'un lit double), d'une salle de bain avec douche, d'un espace de couchage supplémentaire à l'étage et d'un poste de travail. Une cafetiÚre Nespresso et des haut-parleurs se trouvent dans chacune de nos chambres d'hÎtes.

Au total, EirĂ° dispose actuellement de 6 chambres et convient donc parfaitement Ă  12 personnes. Des lits supplĂ©mentaires peuvent ĂȘtre arrangĂ©s pour 3 autres personnes, mais 15 est le nombre maximum de personnes que nous acceptons actuellement.

EirĂ° lui-mĂȘme propose la location de kayak (Ă  utiliser directement sur le lac de Gislholtsvatn) et de vĂ©lo de montagne (pour les balades Ă  vĂ©lo dans les environs immĂ©diats) Ă  partir d'aoĂ»t 2019.

Dans les 30 Ă  70 minutes de EirĂ°, vous trouverez les principales attractions touristiques telles que: Geysir, Gullfoss, le mont Hekla, le tristement cĂ©lĂšbre volcan Eyjafjallajökull (centre d’accueil moderne Ă  Hvolsvöllur), le rafting sur la riviĂšre HvĂ­tĂĄ, le centre Ă©questre moderne, le centre Ă©questre de KeriĂ°, Hautes terres de Ăłrsmörk.

I took a group to Eird for a yoga retreat and it was amazing! The property is beautiful, rooms were great and cozy, the yoga shala was perfect. We felt right at home and loved the seclusion of the property but that it was also close to so much on the south coast. We were fortunate to see the northern lights almost every night!! An unforgettable experience. Svava who owns the property was great to work with and she was also our private chef for the week. Her food, energy, and creativeness was second to none. She was accommodating but also made us feel right at home to enjoy the property. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Eird Retreat was an absolutely magical place to spend the trip of a lifetime. It's even more beautiful than the pictures. Plenty of space for 19 of us. The best equipped kitchen I've ever experienced in a rental. Absolutely charming and very responsive hosts. So sad that I'm not still there!

What a retreat!

I hosted a women's retreat at Eird and it was wonderful. The property and yoga shala are stunning, the view in every direction are wonderful and it's very peaceful. Svava was easy to get ahold of and very helpful. We would absolutely stay again!

The location was fantastic. We loved being able to walk on the roads and see barely any cars, only sheep and horses. The lake is gorgeous and was the perfect place for our cold plunge, and the hot tub was luxurious. We felt grounded and really appreciated the beauty of the buildings, both inside and out. Simple, calming and carefully curated. Our host was responsive to all of our needs in a timely manner. On the last two nights we were blessed with views of the Northern Lights, especially bright in the country. Thank you for an unforgettable and magical stay in Iceland.

Magical place

This home was exactly as advertised. It’s in a beautiful location, very nicely furnished and stocked for a large group, and a perfect retreat for a relaxing stay. Beautiful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Erid Retreat. The location was stunning, remote and peaceful. The Retreat was more than able to handle our large group. With private and shared spaces we had the choice to come together and also enjoy our privacy. Although we did not have time to enjoy the peace of the yoga room as we would have liked, it looks like a fantastic facility that we look forward to enjoying on our next visit.

Perfect Place

We came to Iceland and stayed at Eiro as a yoga retreat and absolutely every single one of the 12 were thrilled with Eiros. The accommodations were perfect. Annual Retreat in Iceland

Family vacation

The property was beautiful and perfect for my fiance and I’s families to stay together at while in the country for us to get married! It’s about an hour and a half away from Vik and an easy drive away from a lot of the sights in the Golden Circle. Most of us preferred the peace and quiet of the property however - it was just as pretty as a lot of the Golden Circle sights but without the crowds. The hosts were also so kind and communicative! We would love to come back with a larger group sometime. It was absolutely beautiful here.

Peaceful and quiet but convenient as well

Our recent stay at Eird Retreat was wonderful! The property itself is quite beautiful and feels very remote (there is absolutely no noise except for bleating lambs across the lake), but notwithstanding our group of seven found it very convenient to all the sights on the south coast and golden circle. Thor and Svava were very easy to communicate with and responded promptly to any questions we had. The main cabin provided a nice gathering spot in the mornings and evenings for our three families, while the separate guest houses and rooms offered us privacy for sleeping. Highly recommend this special place. Thank you Thor and Svava!

Beautiful property in a wonderfully remote location

The owners of the property are incredibly responsive and helpful. We were their first renters and they did everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They left us a lovely welcome gift of fruit, yogurt and cheeses. The location is really nice - right on the water. Thor and Svava - thank you for making our 1st trip to Iceland so memorable and enjoyable! The property wasn’t quite finished which is why I rated the accuracy a 4. But I’m sure it will be done soon!

The most magical winter wonderland

We stayed at Eird to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary with friends and family, and it couldn't have been any more perfect. We were lucky enough to have a fresh snow that blanketed the lake and the grounds. The lake was frozen so we were able to shovel out our very own ice skating rink, AND we got the northern lights! They were very faint, but still very very cool. Svava and Thor answered any and all questions we had leading up to the trip, and the house was just absolutely immaculate. I would 100% recommend Eird for any large group retreats in summer or winter. We cannot stop talking about how magical it was!!!

A bubble of peace and wellbeing

Choosing Eirð Retreat for a company trip organised by Ad Astra Travel was a great decision. Working with the owners and hosts was an absolute pleasure and every and any request was quickly handled with such warmth and ease. The location itself gets guests immediately into a different mindset and they somehow ease into a state of relaxing and enjoying themselves. My wife is an architect and she is the one who designed the entire remodeling of Eirð retreat, which has been going on since the beginning of 2018. Svava Björk, myself and our 6 children have all been directly involved in the renovation work :)

I work internationally as an executive coach and serve as the CEO of a group of companies called the Strategic Leadership Group. We design and run large leadership development projects for multinational corporations.

We are both passionate about creating unforgettable experiences for people. We do this through Eird, but also through architectural design, seminars and retreats.

EirĂ° retreat started as a dream, many many years ago. A dream of working with leaders on grounding themselves as human beings, while creating powerful and sustainable strategies for the organizations they lead.

It was always meant to stand by a lake to enjoy the calming energy that comes with a body of water. It was also meant to have an Icelandic forest (bushes ;) ) and privacy.

When we found this location, we felt the gods had smiled upon us and bought it immediately. For us EirĂ° is a project that will continue to grow and develop over the next few years, as we add meditation spots, yoga facilities, more bedrooms, a sauna etc. So stay tuned on updates :)

The visitors we have had so far have talked about the lake view and the tranquility as the unique aspects of EirĂ°. You really feel connected to Icelandic nature here :)

Another benefit is Eird's strategic location, as there are so many interesting attractions nearby.

Finally, the Scandinavian look and feel of Eird, along with its 9+ bathrooms with a shower make us quite unique.
