There are numerous excellent waterfront restaurants within 2 miles from this gated condo facility.
Here is our favorites:
1. OCEAN VILLAGE TIKI BAR ON THE RESORT - By far my favorite place on the island is the poolside tiki bar. A perfect place to grab lunch and you can even get an early dinner if you order before 6:30. Our favorites are the pulled pork nachos and the coconut shrimp. The dipping sauce with the shrimp is incredible. During the high season of December and the Spring months the Inn at Ocean Village is also open. Can’t beat the idea of walking down the beach to dinner-GREAT HAPPY HOUR!
2. 12A BUOY – Just started going there last time down. Was blown away at how good the food is. Right off the island, take a right at the first light.
3. CHUCKS SEAFOOD– On the Island, just before the bridge. Great food. Be sure to call ahead and reserve a table on their upper patio. Great view.
4. CAPTAINS GALLEY FOR YOUR BEST BREAKFAST – Right off the island on your right at the intersection of the first light is Captains Galley. Opens at 7, the best place for breakfast. Some great deals for $5-6.
5. MANGROVE MATTIE’S - Great view of the water. Right on the island with some great deals if you get there before 6.
6. NORRIS BBQ – Head right (north) on US after crossing the bridge. 2-3 miles on the right. Baby back ribs and Onion Loaf. Our family tradition for 30 years.
7. ARCHIE’S SEABREEZE – Great place to hand out near the beach. Good place to get some drinks and an appetizer. Live music on the weekends.
8. BLUEWATER BEACH GRILL – On the Island at the Pier. Great place, great food.
9. HURRICANE GRILL– Also at the pier. Great place for some wings, a drink and a place to watch a ballgame with an atmosphere.
10. GOODFELLAS PIZZA – On the island, right by Cumberland Farms Gas Station is a place called GoodFellas Pizza if you want to delivery. If you want to do pickup, right off the island is a Papa Johns and Domino's.

About Mark Allnock
My wife and I have lived in Florida for over 20 years, moving south from Pittsburgh. We live in Orlando, but have always wanted a comfortable place on the beach. Once we found Ocean Village, we looked NO FURTHER. This place has it ALL. You will also agree....I promise. I have a local who helps me with cleaning, and other quick needs, when called upon. I know you will love it, and we have put a tremendous amount of passion into this unit. I am sure you will love it. Weather you sit on the screened in patio, and watch golfers hit to the 8th green, or walk out front across the street to this private GORGEOUS beach. It is heaven.
Mark Allnock purchased this Condo in 2015
Why Mark Allnock chose Fort Pierce
Ocean Village has everything. No matter who you ask....you hear the same thing. YOU WILL LOVE THIS PLACE...Many have been here for over 15 years, and will not leave. It is an amazing place.
What makes this Condo unique
Ocean Village is unique. Within the hundreds of acres, you have all different types of condos, homes, high rises. It really is unique. And the entire complex is 100% secure with one entry point, and it is secured 24 hours with a guard gate. My favorite thing is the main pool where they have the tiki bar and entertainment on certain weekends. It really feels resort like. We absolutely love it. If you want to go to Ft Lauderdale, it is less than 90 minutes. Orlando? Less than 2 hours. Beach? Less than 2 minutes. We love it.

Wonderful location, on the golf course, few minutes walk to ocean. Ocean Village is a great facility. And, the condo had been upgraded and was really top notch.
Was as advertised and perfect for our needs. And just a short walk to the beach.
Thomas and his wife were great! We spoke a few times on local dining ideas. They left the place immaculate.
Looking forward to having you again as our guests.
Great place to stay. We had a wonderful time.
The condo was super nice and we really loved Ocean Village. The beach and ocean were so beautiful and the pool was great. We went to several restaurants recommended by the owner, and loved them all. I only wish we had been there longer. Thank you!!
I was in Ft. Pierce for some work. My stay here was very relaxing. I'm not a golfer, therefore I did not use the course.
The condo was beautifully decorated and comfortable; especially the beds! I would highly recommend a stay here.
I will be staying here again when I'm back in the area.
Excellent renter. When we needed to communicate, it was easy. They kept condo immaculate.
Our Home Away from Home.
The condo was our little home away from home, it is so beautiful and relaxing. We spent our days at the beach and the beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels provided were good quality and much appreciated. We shopped at the local Publix for organic food and ate our meals at "home." We took walks on the beach and around the compound, went downtown to the Farmer's Market and went to The House of Seven Gables. The compound was beautifully landscaped and cared for with a big pool and a smaller pool. The wi-fi worked and we had more cable than we have at home. We used the washer and dryer and that can cut down on the amount of clothes to pack. We slept great while we were there. The king size bed was comfortable and there is a standing fan for air movement and white noise. The air conditioner works great so you don't have to use the fans unless you want. Mark was available by telephone and text for any questions and our security deposit was returned within a few days. We look forward to next year. Thank you, Mark! We had a great time.
Great area and beautiful condo
Just a great place to spend the week. Everything available to kick back and relax. Mark was most helpful and easy to contact when we had a question. The condo was well maintained and easy to get to.
It is so nice having visitors like this. The place was left in perfect shape. It was so nice speaking to you guys too. We really look forward to having you back.
OUR FAVORITE THINGS TO DO AT OCEAN VILLAGE AND ON HUTCHINSON ISLAND 1/2 MILE OF PRIVATE BEACH ACCESS • Sunrise on the Beach - Fort Pierce is often called Sunrise City. It’s a gorgeous sunrise, right over the ocean. If you’re up early enough it’s great to walk down to the beach with a flashlight and watch the sunrise. • Beach Volleyball - They have deep set some nice posts there and put in a nice volleyball court. You rent the ball/net out for like $5 a day and you just hang there. Sometimes some other group already has it rented and you just join in. Also being close to the main pool, you can take a dip after the game. • Chairs - We have chairs in the storage unit to take to the beach. 3 HEATED POOLS–The main pool is the best for kids. There’s a kiddie pool normally stocked full of some toys for the kids to use. • Outdoor Hot tub – If you’ve got babysitters or switch with someone else, running down to the hot tub by the main pool at night is a great way to finish the day. • Steam Room Inside the Clubhouse of the Main Pool • New Poolside TIKI BAR NEW WORKOUT FACILITIES - New machines, 3-4 treadmills, stair climbers, free weights, etc. All the treadmills have small personal TV’s in front of each. SHUFFLEBOARD, BOCCE BALL AND BASKETBALL - Located at the main pool. New courts and it only costs $2-3 to rent the bocce balls and shuffleboard equipment. LIGHTED TENNIS COURTS GOLF COURSE – There’s a par 3, 9 Hole golf course that weaves through the complex. It’s a lot of fun and surprisingly challenging. We have 2 sets of clubs down there. Its is your responsibility to furnish your own golf balls. They also have a putting green and two cages/nets setup. COOLEST PLAYGROUND - You’ll quickly realize that once you’re on the island and on the resort you don’t feel any reason to leave. Everything to do and hang out is right there but about a mile North (turn right out of the development, go ½ mile and the park on your left) is 2 story + slides and great fun to take the kids. WALK/RIDE/JOG TO THE PIER – The pier is about 1-2 miles north of our development. For the adventurous looking to get in a run, you can jog down there. THINGS TO DO AROUND THE AREA ON HUTCHINSON ISLAND • NEW YORK METS SPRING TRAINING AND MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL – In the springtime Florida is the Mecca for Spring Training Baseball. But throughout the year Port St. Lucie (15 minutes South) is home to the Minor League team of the New York Mets. • PGA COURSE – Just off the island, 5 miles south on 95 is the PGA Village. Their Dye Course is patterned after a British Course with deep bunkers (pgavillage.com) • DEEP SEA FISHING CHARTERS – You can always get 4-5 guys and do a private charter but you’ll spend $200 each. But if you’re a little more relaxed about it there is a party boat. Its about $50 for the day (captlew.com). • GATOR WATCHING – Just about 25 minutes north you can find a great guide that will give tours of the swamps in his airboat and can guarantee you’ll see gators (floridaairboattoursgroup.com) • FORT PIERCE FARMERS MARKET – Every Saturday from 8 AM to noon, rain or shine you can find the downtown area by the water full of vendors with the freshest fruit, seafood, flowers, gifts and baked goods (fortpiercefarmersmarket.com). • SUNRISE THEATER – Modernized theatre. They’ve had Cosby, Vince Gill, Martina. Search online for Sunrise Theater to see if anything is playing. • BATHTUB BEACH – If you want a calmer beach you can head south 10 minutes. They call it that because there is a small coral reef barrier. Great for snorkeling. • NAVY SEAL MUSEUM – Fort Pierce is where the SEALS started with their first training base during WWII. Inside of the museum isn’t much but they have 15-20 different boats, humvee and other stuff parked outside you can tour for free. • DAY TRIP TO DISNEY – Disney, Sea World, Busch Gardens is all 2 hours away for a day. • NASA ROCKETS AND MUSEUM AT CAPE CANAVERAL – A little over an hour north of Fort Pierce is Cape Canaveral where the shuttles used to launch. • KAYAK AND BIKE RENTAL - On either side of the bridge you can find a kayak rental place. • DOWNTOWN ROUNDABOUT AND MARINA – The downtown roundabout is one of the best known public places in the city. See what the fishing charters caught for the day and get some gelato at Uncle Carlo’s. • AQUARIUM– It’s not big, but a small aquarium on the island right on your left after you cross the bridge. Great for little kids to see a few things. • OUTLET MALLS IN VERO BEACH OR PRT ST. LUCIE • TREASURE COAST HISTORY MUSEUM – Features silver and gold from a fleet of 11 Spanish ships that sank during a 1715 hurricane that led to the area being called the “treasure coast”.
