Weekend Trip

Countryside Luxury

This space is breathtaking. The pictures do not show you how grand the space is in person. It's incredibly well appointed, like staying in a William Sonoma or Pottery Barn catalog. The farm table in the main hall hosted a feast of 9 adults, and 7 kids. The bathroom the mail floor sleeping areas were very easy to access for my walker dependent disabled elderly mother. The kitchen is a true gourmet chefs kitchen well stocked with high quality knives and pans - we travel with our own knives but were impressed the host had high quality ones available. The property was well maintained and the kids LOVED exploring the creekside area as well as the patios. My children have asked that anytime we visit friends and family in PA we stay here. The host was very organized, communicative, professional, and available for questions. Highly recommend.

Great!

This property is an awesome place to rent. Beautiful farmland area. Quiet and relaxing. Close to Gettysburg and surrounding communities. The house is clean and comfortable. The land is fantastic to walk and the cows are a hit. Our dogs love to roam the property and check out all of the new smells. Would highly recommend.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect spot for my family of four to getaway to for a long weekend. The house is beautiful and super clean and the property is so relaxing! Spent evenings around the fire pit and took daytime strolls with our pup to visit the cow. Close to many historic Gettysburg attractions. Communication with home owner was great from the start! Would definitely recommend!!

Another great stay!

This is my second time staying at Mark's place and its just perfect! Its a beautiful property and every detail of the place is really well done. Mark is super easy to work with in setting up the stay and checked in via text to see if i needed anything which i did not because the place is really perfect. I definitely hope to keep coming back to this place many more times in the future!

Country Oasis

This place was incredibly beautiful. The antiques and decor are remarkable, well thought out and very beautiful. The kitchen! Wow! All I could think about was how nice it would be to have a holiday family gathering at this location. The bathroom is worthy! We watched deer and a very fat ground hog. All in all this location was perfect for us.

Perfection

This place is amazing Mark is very attentive although not much was needed as he has it all spelled out in the book The house was beautiful it’s the little details that make all the difference an OMG that walk in shower!! The property is so peaceful It was a great place to come to town and visit with family and friends If I could rate it above 5 I would as this place completely exceeded our needs and expectations

Excellent

We were more than pleased with the house, it was beautifully decorated and designed, and wow that shower is amazing! The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The land is beautiful and even in the pasture there was a nice stream, and it was neat to see the cows. Mark the host was very nice and let us know if we needed anything to call him. If I could give 10 stars for our stay and our host Mark I would, but it only lets me do 5 stars. I am hoping to be able to stay there again the next time we plan to head that way. I highly recommend for sure!

Fantastic!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The location and property are perfect. Our dogs really enjoyed the freedom of running around the property and especially liked the cows, as did we. The house is close to Gettysburg and other towns for shopping and restaurants. We would most definitely stay here again. Thanks to Mark for being a great host. We really enjoyed your home.

Amazing Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Plum Run Acres. It was exactly, if not better, than pictured. Mark is great with communication and he put so much heart and thought into all of the details. The proximity to Gettysburg was perfect and we had a nice mix of exploring and relaxing.

Intimate wedding

We booked this stay to have a micro wedding. It is was BEAUTIFUL. Mark was very helpful through the whole process. House was super clean and so nice to stay in. I never wanted to get out of the shower- probably the best part of the stay! Would def recommend

Beautiful and amazing!

The two words in the title can not truly describe this home. The home which is built in the in the style of a barn, is a dream. The outside has plenty of room for walking and exploring. The inside is decorated by room, with different themes-rustic and modern. The kitchen has everything you need. We brought with us our two small dogs and they had the times of their lives running in the big, big yard and exploring . My wife and I enjoyed the surrounding communities of Gettysburg and Hanover- shopping and exploring.

Wonderful country break

My husband and I stayed with our two large dogs for a nice break in the country. We live in a townhome with no property and it was great to see the dogs exploring right out the door. We enjoyed the beautiful kitchen and sunroom and the fabulous fire pit outside. The house was decorated beautifully and included a lot of cool books and art. Mark was so accommodating and friendly. We were impressed that the house had won several awards. Very close to Gettysburg and restaurants. We will definitely stay again!

Central PA getaway

This property is truly great and unique. The owner, Mark, put a lot of thought and planning into making this house feel rustic (from his childhood) and urban (from his career). We enjoyed the openness of the house and the it being tucked away far from the road surrounded by farm. Our stay was quiet and cozy which was just what we needed on our escape from Pittsburgh. Mark was flexible with our booking and was easy to communicate with. All of the house rules were easy to find in a binder on the kitchen table and detailed with specific instructions for everything. Also, there is a box full of kids toys that our 2 year old son found and loved playing with. That was a pleasant surprise. This is a perfect getaway house for a couple looking to escape to somewhere quiet but not far away from some fun things to do.
