We walked into the unit advertised to find bugs in the kitchen and bedrooms. There was no light switch to operate the kitchen lights, so we could not cook dinner because it was so dark. I had specifically been looking all over for a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub for just a few days away to relax. We walked into a sign on the wall that said we could not use the fireplace. We were never told we couldn't use the fireplace until we were there. We contacted the front desk and the host. The front desk moved us, but told us we had a choice of either a fireplace or a jacuzzi tub. The fireplace would be electric though not wood burning. By the advertisement, I paid for a room that had both. It came down to choosing one or the other. We got to the second room which was outdated and not very clean. The jacuzzi tub was smaller, and the floors look like they hadn't been cleaned in months. The refrigerator had stains all down the side. We were frustrated at this point and decided we weren't moving our things again. We started cooking dinner to find that there were no cooking utensils but we did have a few pots and pans. I had to go out and buy cooking utensils and Lysol to wipe down the counters and do a quick wipe of the floors in the kitchen.
After speaking with the host, she told me she would get back to me the next day after speaking with the manager. Three days later, we have checked out and I haven't heard anything from anyone. I am beyond upset because we paid a lot of money to stay in a place that wasn't worth even half of it. The original condo would have been nice with a working fireplace that I paid for, no bugs, and kitchen lights. I think I am most upset by the claim of someone doing something for us, but that hasn't been done. I haven't even heard back from anyone. Never again. Save your money. I could have stayed much closer to home and spent much less money for the same experience.
