Maison de plage familiale prĂšs de la baie et de la plage

Cette charmante maison de plage originale a Ă©tĂ© amoureusement entretenue et refaite au fil des dĂ©cennies. De nombreuses familles apprĂ©cient la propriĂ©tĂ© depuis plus de 100 ans. IdĂ©alement placĂ© entre les jetĂ©es de la pĂ©ninsule de Balboa, les visiteurs pourront profiter du soleil et surfer sur les belles plages Ă  proximitĂ©. Le front de mer est Ă  7 maisons avec plusieurs plages de baies pour les enfants qui ne sont pas prĂȘtes pour les grosses vagues de l'ocĂ©an Pacifique. Faites du vĂ©lo sur des kilomĂštres le long de la promenade en bord de mer ou promenez-vous le long de la baie tranquille jusqu'au village de Balboa avec ses boutiques, ses restaurants, le ferry de l'Ăźle de Balboa et la zone de divertissement Ă  proximitĂ©. 6th St. est Ă  un pĂątĂ© de maisons contenant un petit magasin / Ă©picerie, un cafĂ© et notre merveilleuse bibliothĂšque publique locale.

Le plan d'étage ouvert semble grand avec le salon, la salle à manger et la cuisine connectés pour de grands repas de famille ou des réunions amicales. La table à manger peut accueillir 8 personnes et le bar debout de la cuisine est un excellent lieu de rassemblement. Le patio avant est parfait pour tous les repas sur la grande table extérieure en teck.
Chambres: - chambre Ă  l'Ă©tage avant a une vue sur la baie depuis le lit king et un coin salon confortable qui se transforme en un lit queen supplĂ©mentaire. La grande chambre arriĂšre a plusieurs lits. Un joli patio Ă  l'Ă©tage se trouve directement Ă  cĂŽtĂ© de cette piĂšce. La chambre au rez-de-chaussĂ©e a un lit queen, et la "salle de jardin" lumineuse a un lit de repos qui peut accueillir 1 ou 2 et contient des siĂšges supplĂ©mentaires. Ces 3 aires de repos permettent Ă  votre groupe d'ĂȘtre tous ensemble ou de se rĂ©partir pour diffĂ©rentes activitĂ©s. Les siĂšges extĂ©rieurs permettent au soleil ou Ă  l'ombre toute la journĂ©e.

La maison dispose de toutes les commoditĂ©s: Wi-Fi, cĂąble, cuisine entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e, linge de maison, laveuse et sĂ©cheuse. La maison est remplie de beaux bois vernis et de dĂ©tails faits Ă  la main, la salle de bain "goĂ©lette", les Ɠuvres d'art locales du propriĂ©taire, notre mouette nĂ©o-zĂ©landaise, un panier Ă  jouets, des livres nautiques et autres, des jeux et une cloche de bateau Ă  sonner pour le dĂźner.

Wonderful House and Location

The house was perfect for two families visiting Newport Beach. It had everything we needed and was in walking distance of the beach, stores and restaurants. We would stay there again!

PERFECT FOR A FAMILY

This property is comfortable and homey ; it is open and great for games ; proximity to the marina beach and the “big” ocean is perfect!! We walked most everywhere and loved the neighborhood.

Balboa Beach House

Last minute visit. Place was great but cold. Also could have better pillows (felt like my granny’s pillows) and towels. The amount of housework required on checkout was also a bit much. It’s not a dormitory. Otherwise great.

A Ship’s Vacation

This is a welcoming and friendly craftsman/ship design house. It was great for our family ranging from 4 years to 69 years. Everyone loved it. Close to bay and ocean!

Historic Beauty

Celebrated my birthday in this beautiful historic home in the perfect location. Check in / out was easy. The home was well stocked with everything you needed to make family meals. The tubs were heaven. Classy yet comfortable. Easy walk to beach. Perfect for a family gathering.

This is a unique, 100 year old house that is completely charming and well stocked with all the comforts of home. Located between the beach and bay it was close enough to walk to either but far enough away from crowded, chaotic, party area that it was quiet at night. Only two comments; fireplace advertised on site yet personal information provided states fireplace can NOT be used and house across the street is under construction so M-F construction workers began to show up as early as 6:30 am so quiet morning coffee on front porch swing or sleeping in was not an option.

Perfect family vacay

The property was perfect for our large family plenty of sleep spaces. It was cute and felt like it had old ship theme with it’s dark wood and lighthouse decor. Cute story about the property on the wall that made it feel even more homey. Quick walk to the beach. Quick stroll to the Fun Zone. The place has two bathrooms and one shower inside. The other shower is outside. It’s probably an after beach rinse off shower but it’s private and a fun adventure showering outside. We would love to stay there again. Thank you for sharing your awesome home!

The biggest concern were the flies. So many flies my son brought over his bug zapper. We couldn’t keep windows shut due to the heat. We kept counters and trash emptied but still flies were everywhere.

Charming Nautical Rental on Balboa Peninsula

The charming wood and the spacious kitchen, and all of the decor in the home was very inviting and it felt like you were in a nice wooden ship. We would stay in the home again if available. Plenty of room for our large family of 9 people. The weather was great and all of the fans in the home along with the windows kept the home very cool in early October. Location was quiet and away from 20th street party scene. Loved the location with 8 minute walking distance to ferry location and fun zone area. Marina Cafe was a close bike ride and it really was great. The microwave went out on the second day and the management company replaced it immediately the next day. Highly recommend this fun home!

Great location - Wish it had air conditioning or screens

Overall, we were happy with our stay. Large property with many places to spread out and sleep. We were only a part of 5 and could have easily brought 5 more. Areas I think could be upgraded for future visitors: -BIGGEST ISSUE - No Air Conditioning. The temperature outside during our stay was extremely pleasant. We are not used to going without air conditioning so initially, we found it fun to open all the windows and enjoy the fresh air. The problem came when the bugs started entering the property. There are no screens on the windows and the bugs would come in throughout the day and stay. Unfortunately, this means we had numerous bug bites from mosquitos. There were only 2 large fans in the home so we were very warm at night if we kept the windows closed. I'm all for camping, but with the price point, it wore thin on a week-long vacation. This needs to be fully disclosed and/or remedied for future visitors. -Linens- They are on their last leg. Need to be upgraded. Pillows are thin. Bathrooms- For 5 people, we didn't have too many issues with the 2 bathrooms but only one shower was occasionally an issue. The downstairs bathroom had little room to get ready with a pedestal sink and only a tub. Bedrooms- only 1 T.V. in the upstairs bedroom. The others don't have one. Excellent parking, location to the water, and the kitchen was very nice. We took the opportunity to take the kayaks into the water which was incredible. Great front porch swing and sunroom.

Great house! Challenges with the property management co.

The house and homeowner were absolutely lovely, it's a beautiful home! The space and location were very comfortable and convenient. The outdoor shower was dreamy, and the house had everything you could want including plenty of toys for activities (bikes, etc.) and a grill. There is only one indoor shower which may not be ideal in all seasons but was no problem for us in May. The upstairs shower was full of hair when we arrived, and it would have been nice if there had been towels in the bathrooms when we arrived rather than downstairs wrapped in plastic, but otherwise the house was spotless. Unfortunately, the property management company called my cell phone 3 times as soon as my booking was confirmed through VRBO. They insisted on an additional $1000 deposit or an a additional non-refundable fee they had mistakenly left out of their listing and threatened to cancel my booking. I agreed to the deposit, but found the repeated calls very irritating and unprofessional as I was busy at work. They charged me $1000 and it took multiple emails and 3 phone calls over weeks following our checkout before anyone responded or initiated the return of my deposit. Furthermore, I called to requested an early check in (which I'd discussed with whoever had called me insisting on the deposit), the Newport Beach Vacation Property staff were very rude and unpleasant and said that I would be charged $50 per hour for early check in. This is the first time I've heard of such a policy, and I explained that maybe they could be flexible given my willingness to provide the additional $1000 deposit and so we were allowed to check in 90 minutes early at 2:30. I later reviewed my contract which confirmed there had been no mention a fee for early check in / late check out (although many other fees are explained therein). All in all, the house was lovely as was the homeowner. Based on my experience I would discourage anyone from dealing with Newport Beach Vacation Properties and I hope they have updated their listing and contract accordingly so that other vacationers don't encounter the same surprises and unprofessional conduct as I did.

Family Vacation

This is our 2nd time staying at 318 Lindo Ave and we all had a fantastic stay. This house feels like home with all the character it has. We love staying here, it's a wonderful location, so close to everything, but still quiet and cozy. Looking forward to our stay next year.

The details are charming, the history wonderful, the location perfect. There was a stunning bouquet of roses on the table to greet us when we arrived, which we loved. Property management was welcoming and responsive. We were there in December, and the weather was unusually cold. When we asked management for help staying warm, they jumped through hoops to provide space heaters- for which we were so grateful! All in all a memorable stay, and we hope to return someday!

The side yard allowed us to relax while the small children played & we BBQ'd. Since I have family in the area, they visited & there was plenty of room since the front of the house has a front porch along with a table, which is in the shade from the tree. The large kitchen provided ample area for food prep. Having access thru the back gate was also handy for unloading & extra parking if needed. Overall, this was above our expectations for a great place to stay!
