Location, location

Perfect location to everything. Slopes are about 30-40 minutes. We went to Taos and Angel Fire. Walking distance to historic downtown area that included restaurants and the art district.

An enchanting stay in Taos

The property is gorgeous with many pieces of NM artwork, many of them Inger’s. It is perfectly located, just a few steps from Taos Plaza and our new favorite coffee shop World Cup Café. The casita is spacious and airy and has everything you need. We had a really marvelous stay over the Christmas week. And Inger is a sweetheart. If you stay here be sure to pop into her gallery next door and say hi. Highly recommended.

Taos Weekend

We have stayed here before. We love Inger's artwork and the keep sakes that decorate the unit. Lovely kitchen with a window to the south and the great room has north and west windows that add to the charm of the unit. The location on Ledoux street is perfect - a quiet street just 1/2 block from the plaza. Old Taos at its best.

Cozy and close to everything Taos stay

We loved the space - the light, the art, the convenience of being in the middle of Taos. We walked to restaurants and shops, and the art center where we saw our daughter dance with her dance ensemble. Easy to get to to hiking, hot springs, tourist attractions. The fall colors were absolutely fantastic! Hosts were responsive when there was an issue. Would definitely stay here again. Be aware that the only bathroom is in the loft, up a spiral staircase, if mobility is an issue.

Inger Jirby's life has been as rich, dramatic and exotic as her art. She was born in the far north of Sweden, above the Artic Circle in Lapland, a place of blazing autumn colors and great cultural traditions. "I prefer to work outdoors on location. I love to interact with nature and Taos is a perfect place to do what I love the most," she says. "Taos, New Mexico has been a cultural center over a hundred years. New Mexico is the perfect place for a landscape painter and I am first and foremost a landscape painter."

The location is absolutely charming, on the quiet, quaint and conveniently-located Historic Ledoux Street. People are always telling me that they love to stay here, and wish that they could stay longer! It's a wonderful arrangement; guests of our casitas can also check out my gallery, and collectors of my paintings can also be put up in comfort while they are in town.
