People can be very dismissive about the Welsh climate. It's true that the west side of the U.K. tends to get lots rain and cloud, and that the Welsh mountains and coast can make the already unpredictable weather even more so. But actually Newtown's position towards the east of the country make the weather quite comfortable (sort of). Hope for warm, sunny summers, and relatively mild winters. One of the loveliest things about mid-Wales is that there are no big cities clogging the place up. In fact, Newtown is as big as they get. The landscape, however, is on a whole different scale.
