Great stay

Just returned from Villa Dune after staying for a week. Had a great experience from the start with communication being easy and all relevant details given in plenty of time. The villa has everything you need including a great size pool.Views were also good especially from upstairs bedroom. Had a very relaxing stayi

We really enjoyed our stay at this characterful and well laid out villa, which is in a peaceful location with fabulous panoramic views down to the coast. Spacious rooms, all well decorated and with a homely feel. The large, shaded terrace area was particularly lovely and a great place for relaxing and eating meals. The villa occupies a large plot and the gardens were beautifully kept. Great sized pool too. Convenient location with easy access to main coast road and good walking nearby.Many thanks, David, for your kindness during our stay, it was much appreciated.

Beautiful villa

The villa is stunning with great views over to the coast. It was equipped very well with everything we could possibly need, and was very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the weather was awful when we were there - lots of torrential rain and cloud, and it was cold out of the sun, but the lounge was very comfortable and heaters were provided.

FANTASTIC VILLA

The BEST VILLA i have ever stayed at.It is wonderful in every respect, superb interior design.Luxurious bedding .Also a Very nice touch personal dressing gowns and towels.PLUS THE WELL STOCKED FREE MINI BAR.Swimming in the heated pool is a beautiful experience. Last the sea views are totally stunning. I am just about to book for later this year.

A proper home from home

3 generations of our family stayed for 2 weeks. What an amazing villa with everything you could ask for provided. The pool was warm and easily accessible with the Spanish steps ( youngest party member was 3) our host answered any questions promptly and was kind and friendly. We had an amazing stay. The area was peaceful and there was a play park close by. Can’t recommend this property highly enough. It was wonderful. Thank you.

Beautiful Villa Dune

The Villa was perfect in every way. Plenty of space for our family and extremely well equipped! The pool was well maintained and heated between 31° and 28°, our granddaughter spent the majority of the holiday in there!! Each room of the villa is beautifully dressed, which made it feel Home from Home! The grounds of the villa were also stunning! On arrival to Lanzarote, we initially couldn’t locate the villa however, David kindly guided us there over the phone! A wonderful stay, we will be repeating!

Haus 🏠 Dune direkt an Baustelle

Baustellen Lärm ( 10 m entfernt direkt an Villa Dune angrenzend ) täglich ab 8 Uhr - 17 Uhr auch an Feiertagen… Extrem Baustaub , Lage ansonsten ist gut. Sauberkeit(Baustellen bedingt,)lässt zu wünschen übrig. Putzfrau wollte einmal pro Woche kommen , kam nur einmal kurz vorbei? Waschmaschine extrem schmutzig. Kühlschrank ebenfalls.Alle Gläser mit Glasbrand, Besteck verschmutzt . Liegen aussen müssen ersetzt werden , Matten ebenfalls.Schlechter Geruch im Badezimmer UG …..

Angenehmer 2-wöchiger Aufenthalt in absolut ruhiger Umgebung. Hervorzuheben sind weiterhin der beheizte Pool, die Nähe von Puerto del Carmen mit Strand und die zentrale Insellage von La Asomada. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

Une maison très agréable et une ile magnifique

La maison est très agréable et conforme au descriptif. Elle est bien située pour visiter l'île, il n'y a pas de vis à vis et aucun voisin gênant. La piscine, les transats et la terrasse sont top. Le personnel en charge de la maison est sympathique et très réactif. Nous avons juste trouvé les lits trop mou à notre goût et le ménage un peu trop vite fait mais acceptable. David et June sont des propriétaires prévenant et à l'écoute.

Sehr schöne Villa in einer sehr ruhigen Wohngegend

Die Villa ist so wie beschrieben, man fühlt sich gleich zuhause. Der Besitzer hat sehr schnell und gut reagiert als es einmal eine kleine Unstimmigkeit mit der Poolheizung gab. Alles perfekt. Wir würden dort auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.

Lovely villa in Asomada

A big thank you to June and David for allowing us to stay in your lovely villa, we had a great time, and the weather was mostly glorious. The villa was well kitted out with all you would require as a holiday home, it was situated in a quiet location with nice views towards the sea , although windy at times due to being position it never caused a problem as we were quite glad of the breeze to keep us cool. The villa had sun all day due to facing south but we were able to get plenty of shade from the lovely covered front patio. We will be back for sure, and thank you both once again. Wir durften mit unseren zwei Töchtern, 14 und 18 Jahre alt, zehn schöne Ferientage in der Villa Dune verbringen. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet (im englischen Style). Die Pergola, der Pool und die Aussenanlage sind sehr gepflegt und bieten Momente der vollen Entspannung an. Dies mit fantastischer Aussicht. Wir besuchen Lanzarote regelmässig schon seit fünfzehn Jahren, dies ist sicherlich eines der besten Häuser, das wir bewohnen durften. Ein kleiner Mangel müsste jedoch angefügt werden: Die meisten Küchenutensilien waren leider unbrauchbar. Dies haben wir aber schnell selber behoben. Fantastic Villa

Just finished a fantastic 10 days at David’s villa. It is set in a small, very quiet village overlooking Puerto del Carmen with fantastic views across the coast. We did not have very good weather unfortunately so the amazing wifi reception and abundance of UK television channels was a huge bonus. We are from Edinburgh and to receive even Scottish tv channels in Lanzarote was incredible. I would highly recommend renting with David to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing break in the sun.

Felt right at home

It was a lovely experience staying at Villa Dune. The property was spacious and clean. Easy access with key in a lock box so immediate access when you get there. The kitchen had all that you needed, and the beds...well what can I say, normally on vacation you cant wait to get back home to crawl into your comfy bed but the beds at the villa were amazing. The mattress was amazingly comfortable and the duvet is to die for. The bathrooms were all clean with fresh towels. We had the use of washing machine and tumble dryer which meant no big wash when back home and a lovely heated pool. The Tv was slow but was in english so kept the kids happy. Oh and not forgetting the incredible view. As you can tell we were extremely happy with our stay and should we visit Lanzarote again we will definitely be making this our first choice. I will also just say I spoke to the owner David who was lovely and helpful even sorting a cot out last minute due to my failure to ask sooner (sorry). Thankyou so much David and June, my husband very much appreciated the mince pies for our Christmas stay :-)

Beautiful Villa in Lovely Setting.

We are a family of four, mum, dad and the two girls Sophie and Rebecca. This was our second holiday at Villa Dunne and again we stayed for three weeks. The villa has been recently upgraded and this has only added a further level of amenity to what was already a very high standard. The owner's photographs speak for themselves. David, the owner, visited twice during the stay to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction, which it was, and he could not have been more helpful. It also gave us the opportunity to thank him for the welcoming pack he supplied including the lovely bottle of wine. The pool is magnificent and the main feature of the villa. A lady arrived twice a week to clean the pool, top up the water and provide advise on how to maintain the temperature of the water. Suffice to say that we all swam every day. The Linen was changed each week by the two enthusiastic Housekeepers who also gave the villa the 'once over' at the same time. The garden is extensive and well maintained. There are always plants and shrubs in flower to enjoy. The Spar Supermarket is only a few minutes away by car and the hotspots of Puerto Calero and Puerto del Carmen can be reached in about ten. There extensive restaurants, to suit all tastes, at either location. If you decide to use a taxi it is useful to note that the street name has a letter and number after it and this assists drivers to quickly find the villa. We love Lanzarote and hope to back at Villa Dunne in the very near future.

A stunning villa in a beautiful location

This villa is maintained to a high standard & a truly lovely place to stay. A short transfer from the airport situated high in the hills with fabulous views. A quiet location enjoying a wonderful breeze that takes the edge off the heat. Although we did leave London in a heat wave & Lanzarote was a blessed relief! It does have a very personal touch, rather like staying in someone else's home. I found this rather quirky & unusual. We had young children with us & had to move a number of ornaments! That said, the villa is child friendly. Our request for 2 cots was met & there was a highchair provided. Overall the villa is spacious & cool. ( The website said there were plenty of fans, but we didn't find/need one!) However take note that there is NO aircon. Plenty of room for families. I travelled with my 3 grown up children, their partners & 3 children, aged 4, 1 & 4 months. The pool is lovely. A lady came to clean it midweek. We also cleaned out leaves & flowers daily. It is very windy & there are a lot of plants/flowers around the pool. The upstairs bedroom with a balcony & en suite is delightful. However, the bathroom space downstairs is very limited for a large group. The villa would really benefit from another downstairs bathroom or at least separate toilet. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We didn't hire a car but I would recommend it. Taxis found it difficult to find sometimes. Even our airport transfer home struggled & was 30 minutes late! A final note. Only one house key is provided. Two would be better for a large group like ours.

Wonderful villa, fabulous pool!

We booked this villa as we wanted our own space and a good size pool and this villa did not disappoint! From first contact David, the owner, was very helpful and friendly. Villa is set in a quiet location with well tended grounds. A welcome pack of basic groceries, including a nice bottle of wine, was greatly appreciated. The villa is spacious, clean and well equipped with a wonderful view of the ocean. The large pool was clean and the sun terrace with barbecue was perfect for our family and our three children 11, 13 and 15 who spent many fun hours in the pool. This was our first time in Lanzarote, we rented a car and found getting around straightforward and this the perfect central base from which to explore the island. Thank you, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend staying here.

Fantastic villa with lots of space

We stayed here for two weeks over Christmas and New Year's, three generations of family, a total of seven people. David, the owner, was extremely helpful and friendly from when I first booked last spring throughout the stay. We never got to meet in person, but he (and also his daughter, Vicki, during the stay) was very quick in answering email and phone calls. I can just agree with previous reviews, here you have everything you need in a quiet village setting. The villa is very well equipped with all you need for a great stay, from kitchen utensils to linens to plenty of closet space. The pool is a good size for both playing and swimming laps, even though the cooler night temperatures this time of year make pool heating necessary. There is lots of space both inside and outside, and places to spread out, even with seven people in the same house. One thing to note is that even though there are two bathrooms, one of them in ensuite with the master bedroom on the second floor (up a narrow staircase), so in reality this means the three downstairs bedrooms share one bathroom. If we decide to come back to Lanzarote, this would certainly be our first choice!

Villa Dune is perfect. Perfect in its setting - quiet, beautifully tended grounds, views & space. Loads of indoor & outdoor space all very well presented, decorated and clean. The villa has been generously set up to provide a comfortable home. Kitchen well equipped, plenty of clean bedding and towels. Bedrooms very well appointed with good quality bedding and mattresses. Great indoor living area - two lounge areas to relax in, dining areas. Outdoor terrace perfect for al fresco nights and BBQs. A really friendly and efficient cleaning team came in the beginning of our second team to change beds etc. The pool cleaner (lovely friendly lady) came is every other day to check pool levels and chlorine levels. The owners are really helpful and nothing is to much trouble from the first enquiry, to the booking and helping us to source local car hire. The villa is in a quiet area but nice and close to all the places you need - food, restaurants, bars, tourist spots. Any negatives? Yes we had to come home.

A VERY LUXURIOUS AND PALALIONSAL VILLA

THIS IS THE MOST MAGNIFICENT VILLA I HAVE EVER STAYED IN THE OWNERS HAVE SPENT A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY UPDATING IT TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD.WITH SUPERB FURNISHING AND DECOR THE LOCATION AND PRIVACY ARE FANTASTIC THE POOL IS SO COMFORTING CRISTAL CLEAR AND VERY WARM WONDERFUL TO SWIN IN MY SELF AND MY FAMILY WILL RE RETURN NEXT YEAR IF YOU WANT A HOLIDAY IN LANZAROTE [ THIS IS THE VILLA TO BOOK] WE THANK THE OWNERS FOR PROVIDING AN UNFOTGETABLE HOLIDAY IT WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL RELAXING HOLIDAY

The pool is the star!

We have been visiting Lanzarote for over 30 years and were looking for somewhere special, but quiet, to celebrate our Golden wedding anniversary. When we approached June and David, we were assured that Villa Dune would be perfect. They were not wrong. Situated in the quiet village of La Asomada, just up the hill above Macher, Villa Dune is tranquility itself,standing on a large plot, with lovely gardens and approached via a long driveway. We were impressed by the size and quality of both the villa and the facilities within. The kitchen is large with a full compliment of appliances, kitchenware and utensils. Outside the pool is the star! Quite the largest of any villa we've stayed at and in full sun all day long. The enormous lounge leads out to a covered terrace, perfect for bbq's and Al fresco dining. Close by, the Eurospar caters for all provisions, and the resorts of Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero offer further shopping and fine dining. What more could one wish for - maybe being greeted by David with red roses and bubbly for our anniversary? Yes, that too! Thank you so much June and David. We loved it so much, we will be there again in the Autumn. David and Carol.
