Exclusive Villa in Agia Efimia, Private Pool, Superb Sea Views, Privacy, Quiet

Formerly known as Villa Mema, the property has been renamed Villa Angali and is now under new ownership. We warmly invite our loyal and future guests to enjoy a unique and memorable stay in beautiful Agia Efimia.

Villa Angali begins this summer an exciting new chapter. The team is dedicated to offering an elevated holiday experience, combining comfort, style, and authentic Kefalonian hospitality.

The secluded and elevated position of the property makes the villa to a truly magical place for your holidays. Breathtaking views from every corner of the house across the bay of Agia Efimia, the Ionian Sea and the neighbour-island of Ithaca. Just a breath away from the centre of the village and all its entertainment facilities but still a peaceful and tranquil location offering a lot of privacy. All amenities (shops, restaurants, cafés, beaches) are within easy walking distance (5-10) min from the villa. No car rental is necessary except for exploring the island.

The living space of 110 m² is arranged over 2 levels. On the ground floor, there is a well-designed spacious living room with sofa bed (sleeping one more guest), air-conditioning, an open-plan dining kitchen and a bathroom with shower, WC. A timber staircase leads to the upper floor: here are 2 bedrooms (one with double bed and one with twins), with air-conditioning, balconies with superb views over the bay of Agia Efimia and a bathroom with a small bathtub, WC and hairdryer.

Outside, there is a large terrace offering privacy and amazing views to the harbour of Agia Efimia and the sea. The pool terrace is equipped with 4 relaxing sun beds. Pool and front terraces are surrounded by different patios with shaded relaxing areas and decorated with a variety of lovely Mediterranean flowers such as oleanders, hibiscus, jasmines, roses.

If you wish, we can arrange a taxi transfer for you from the airport or port of Kefalonia to the Villa and return.

Beautiful Kefalonia

Amazing

Fantastic villa in a great location, everything within easy walking distance. Beautiful harbour front restaurants on your doorstep…. We ate out every night and not one bad meal. Spotlessly clean with amazing views across the harbour. Amazing hospitality from Mema and Lida. We had a late flight and they were able to accommodate us at the villa until our airport transfer, nothing was any trouble. Will definitely stay here again.

Best holiday ever

We all had a fantastic time at Villa Mema. The house is perfectly positioned overlooking Agia Efimia and the bay. Far enough to be private but only five minutes walk from the town with shops and tavernas. We lived outdoors for the week with ample places to sit in and out of the shade at different times of the day. We made good use of the pool. The beaches were beautiful and there are lots of amazing eateries and very friendly locals. Mrs Mema was a delight whenever she visited. And now I can say that I have shared a room with Penelope Cruz.

Relaxing at its best

We had the most relaxing stay. The view over the harbour from Villa Mema was magical. We were looked after so well by Mrs Mema and her husband nothing was too much trouble. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance and the standard of quality and service from them all was very good. Thank you Mrs Mema would recommend without any hesitation

Wonderful villa

We spent a wonderful time in villa Mema. The villa is perfect. The view is amazing and so is the location. Perfect to visit Kefalonia and Ithaca. Agia effimia is a very nice and quiet village. So relaxing

We had such a well needed rest. The location close to the village was perfect and a great choice of tavernas/restaurants. Mema made us very welcome as did the kitten. The views were beautiful and the villa was in such a great position that you could see all the surrounding area. We had everything we needed and Mema was very attentive and even left us some essentials (including wine !) for our arrival Perfect holiday 👌😀

Wonderful holiday accommodation

Loved every minute of our stay. Accommodation superb, views amazing and pool an added luxury. We were looked after really well by Mema and her team and received gifts such as wine and home made moussaka to die for. We hired a little yellow boat to explore the little coves, but the best beach we found was Paradise Beach, which also had a great restaurant with lovely views - only 5 minute walk heading away from the village. Good shops and other restaurants 5 minute walk. We so loved Effie the cat - if you visit please feed her, she is a sweetheart.

Amazing holiday

We just returned from 2 weeks in this gorgeous villa. We are a family of 5, and our eldest daughter slept comfortably on the sofa bed downstairs while our two youngest had the twin room. The villa has a wonderful location, with a lovely outside area and glorious views across Agia Effimia and the sea beyond. It’s a great location for exploring the north of Kefalonia if you have a car. Communication with Lida pre was faultless and best of all was the warm welcome and hosting from the lovely owner Mema. She is one in a million, discreet, kind, helpful. Can’t praise the whole experience highly enough.

Comfy house with a great view.

We had an excellent stay. We chose the villa as it was within easy walking distance of all the villages amenities plus had its own pool, a combination which was very hard to find. Mema the owner is very welcoming and takes great pride in her villa and garden. The only downside for us was that the villa and pool area looses the sun around 90 minutes before sunset due to the large trees at the rear, otherwise we can wholeheartedly recommend.

The photos painted a very good picture of Villa Mema but the reality of being there was even better. The location, the views which we saw every morning, the lovely clear water in the pool and so many areas to relax - not quite chill out - it was too hot for that! Although we were so close to the village it was still wonderfully private and yet we were not isolated either. It was wonderful to watch all the varied sailing craft going in and out of the harbour. Mema herself was a real gem! She was so warm and welcoming and was a lovely hostess who couldn't do enough for us. We joined all the previous guests in writing glowing reports of our time at Villa Mema in the visitor's book and we would certainly return in the future, God willing.

Fantastic villa in a fabulous location

We had researched Villa Mema and appreciated that it had attracted 5 star reviews however, our holiday surpassed any expectations that we had. Villa Mema is exceptional, the villa is charming inside but the outdoor space and views are hard to beat anywhere in the world. Mrs Mema was a most attentive and kind host but never intruded on family space- her chocolate cake and mouse were delicious. The booking experience and communication with Lida was also exemplary - Lida and Mrs Mema could not do enough to help us when we had some sad news back home. We will certainly be returning - we loved every minute of our holiday.

Stunning villa and views

This is a beautiful villa with stunning views. Mema, the owner, couldn't do more to make you feel welcome. The gardens are delightful. Short walk to the pretty harbour with many restaurants. We've already booked for 3 weeks next year for my 60th! The garden and pool were attended to almost every day with a very thorough midweek clean of the villa. Penelope Cruz and Nicholas Cage stayed here whilst filming Captain Corelli's Mandolin...we can understand why.

Perfect in every way - a truely stunning retreat

We were getting married in Agia Efimia so wanted accommodation with the wow factor. Villa Mema certainly delivered! We had fairly high expectations from the pictures and reviews online but nothing came close to the reality of staying in this remarkable place. The views are outstanding - seriously! To wake up every morning and be greeted with THOSE views is something you just do not get used to. Everything with the villa was perfect. It was home from home. It had everything you needed (and more), it was clean (thank you to the lovey maid) and perfectly located. Mrs Mema is the perfect host. She could have not been more welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a pleasure to see her on the days she popped up to clean the pool/water the flowers etc and she was never invasive. She seemed to genuinely share in our joy of our special occasion - it was a pleasure to have met her. Also, the lady who managed our booking (Lida) could not have done more to help not only when booking, but also during and after our stay. I wish there were enough words to describe how wonderful this villa is. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked again for next year. Worth every penny - easily a 5* rating. Thank you so much for having us and making our stay so special.

Fantastic for the third time

This is the third time we've stayed at Villa Mema and we've already booked our fourth. I really can't stress enough how wonderful the Villa, view and overall location is. From sunrise to sunset the views are beautiful and everything is so close at hand in Agia Effimia. A dream come true

The villa is even more appealing than the wonderful photographs on the website, with location, layout, facilities and ongoing maintenance exactly as described. It has every convenience and feels like a real home. I chose it as the place to celebrate my 80th birthday, as my elder son and his wife have an apartment in the village; and I took my younger son and daughter and their spouses. They had the two bedrooms and I chose to be on the very comfortable sofa bed in the living room, with its own en-suite shower room. The hot weather in July was a good test of the air conditioning, which worked perfectly, as did all the plumbing and the cooking equipment. The star was the swimming pool, which was immaculately maintained, with crystal clear water all the time. The flowers were at their best and the view is sensational. The village is delightful with some well-stocked supermarkets and gift shops, and all the excellent restaurants are within easy walking distance - our favourite was "Paradise." We did some touring, although we would have been happy never to leave Villa Mema. Our favourite place was Assos and we enjoyed the shopping and waterside restaurants in Fiscardo. There is so much to see on that beautiful island and there are also some excellent boat trips. The communication with the villa's Manager in advance was efficient and friendly and on arrival we were greeted very warmly by the lovely lady owner, who also came round to say goodbye as we left most reluctantly. I booked the villa two years in advance and our week there was, for us all, a dream come true.

Just Wow!

Fantastic villa with amazing views and only a few minutes walk down into the town. It is exactly as described and as the photos show. Spent hours on the terrace just watching the comings and goings of the boats and yachts. Thanks to Mema for her wonderful hospitality and welcome provisions she left us, a really nice touch. We absolutely loved this place and we will be back!

Perfect, just perfect

My first experience of booking via owners direct could not have been more efficient of helpful, Lida thanks for all your help and advice This Villa was amazing, wonderful location, fabulous views, very clean and the most amazing service. Mema was an absolute delight, very welcoming, despite having to wait at the house for two hours because of our delayed flight, she was just the most helpful and friendly host... even brought us bbq coals when we couldn't find any in town. I would highly recommend
