Tranquilo apartamento precioso primera planta situado en zona residencial. Casa aislada con un alojamiento de alquiler en el 1er piso. Planta baja privado a los propietarios (nunca allí cuando los huéspedes son). Jardines. Seguro privado zona de la piscina aislada con gran terraza. Dosel de sombra para comer. Gran barbacoa. El alojamiento consta de entrada de la planta baja, vestíbulo, escaleras hasta el 1 ° piso, aterrizaje que lleva a 2 dormitorios. Gran salón con acceso a la terraza del comedor y las escaleras a la zona de la piscina. Cocina totalmente equipada comedor con vista a la montaña. Cuarto de baño y WC separado. Lovely stay

Villa with everything you need, outside space is particularly fantastic with lovely views and a great pool. Location is great with a very short walk to the village with its numerous quality eateries, highly recommended!

Great stay!

We had a great time in this house in the lovely village Laroque des Albères. Particularly the pool-area was very nice where you could find shadow under the beautiful trees and swim in 28-30 degrees water. Be observant of mosquitoes though that bite you even during daytime.

Lovely area

We loved our stay at this great flat the area is great 20 min to beach at Argelès-sur-Mer and 30 minutes to Collioure which is really beautiful coastal town.The walk into Laroque-des-Albères is a short 10 minutes with several bars and restaurants to choose from, we loved it there and ate there on several occasionsThe apartment has everything you could need for a stay only downside was there is only air con in the lounge area which does not cool the bedroom so sleeping in the heat wave was difficult.The pool areas is beautiful and gets the sun from morning until late in the evening, but the mosquitoes were a real nuisance could not eat down there as they were buzzing around during the night and day, this could again be due to the hot weather.Overall we had a wonderful time.Kim and Graham

Thanks Kim & Graham for your review & glad you enjoyed your stay ! The bedrooms do both have ceiling fans. Fitting an A/C unit would not be possible as you would have the outside unit on the main front wall, which is not allowed. It was extremely hot the week you were there, 38/40C daytime & 28/30C night time. We are looking into portable A/C for the bedrooms. This year the mosquitos have been very bad, the unusual combination of an extremely wet March/April/May - their breeding season, followed by the intense heat has caused this. An exceptional year ! Obviously we have mosquito nets to all windows, but this has been the worst year ever & sorry it happened on your stay Great communications. Always welcome back. MARTIN & CAROLYN - HOSTS

Stay in Laroque

Martin was very helpful and easy to deal with. The property is in a very convenient location 10 mins walk to the village (15 for oldies like us) The garden is very well maintained. The biggest drawback for us was that the sun canopy was awaiting replacement so to eat outdoors everything had be taken downstairs.( It was very hot during our visit) , hence 4stars instead of 5 we would have given it

Great place to stay!

Really enjoyed our stay here - very quiet, very clean, well equipped and within 15min walking distance of restaurants, bakery and small grocery store. Good place to start hikes in the nearby mountains too, no need to drive first. Great pool area, beautiful view from balcony, lots of privacy - neighbors not too close. On premises parking available, larger cars can be parked curbside w/I problems. The owners Martin and Carolyn made sure we had all the information we needed and provided lots of useful recommendations about restaurants etc. Communication via email and WhatsApp was prompt and smooth. Thanks Martin and Carolyn! Definitely planning to come again.

Sun, sea and mountais

We are English people living in France and decided to make a late booking for a week in the South of France. I have to admit to being familiar with Laroque des Alberes but my friend had never been before. It is a special place in the foothills of the Alberes Mountains and only 15 minutes from the sea, from the city of Perpignan and not much further to Spain. Our initial contact with the owner resulted in a prompt and efficient reply and soon we were booked and ready to go. We arrived at the location and found a beautiful clean apartment containing everything you could want for a great holiday. As well as the apartment itself, there is a large balcony and a fantastic swimming pool area. The building is completely fenced in and the gardens are beautiful. It is really difficult to find fault, the only problem we had was that very occasionally we couldn't get the internet. This really is a five star holiday location and the owners are to be congratulated on what they provide. I would recommend a visit to anyone wanting to have a break in a special place in the sun.

Not what we expected

Unfortunately the condition of the kitchen left us feeling very disappointed with our stay overall. We were not advised until after we had paid that the kitchen was being replaced at the end of our stay and nothing was communicated to us as to the actual (filthy) state of it. We spent our first day cleaning it and sadly we have still not received any response from our host 8 weeks later after contacting him about it. I have marked each category as 2 star in order to give the overall rating a 2 but the location was excellent, the check-in process was straightforward and other communications were prompt. It was very expensive for what we experienced; the main bathroom has not been finished properly, the tiles were dirty, the bedroom carpet needs cleaning, we had to buy a saucepan big enough to cook pasta, smashed freezer drawers, chipped crockery etc. etc. We would stay in this area again, just not here.

I must put a few things straight here. 1. I offered you 100 euros reduction, prior to booking. As you delayed booking I agreed & paid 100euros, left in a secure place for you. You never said Thankyou for that ! 2. I left some wine for you. Not acknowledged 3. I organised a extra clean during your stay, not normal, I did not ask you to pay for that. It was an extra item, Free of Charge. 4. We communicated almost daily during your stay. 5. There was a big enough saucepan in the corner cupboard. Maybe you did not find it So clearly your version of events, is somewhat different to ours. I would like to add, you also left the hallway heating on, when you left.. Had we not arrived a few days later, the property would have been empty for 2 months, with electric heater on - and the electric meter running up a large electric bill !!

Un petit paradis !

Belle location, calme, avec une vue superbe sur les Albères que nous aimons tant ! Les sentiers de randonnées sont quasi aux pieds de la maison. Piscine et terrain arboré très agréables ! Nous avons apprécié également les 2 salles de bains à disposition, dont une créée cette année et l'autre rénovée. Le village de Laroque des Albères est très vivant, avec des restaurants sympas. Enfin, une mention spéciale pour la gentillesse des propriétaires, qui ont été serviables et à notre écoute du début de la réservation sur le site jusqu'à la fin de notre séjour à Laroque !! Carolyn et Martin, ce fut un plaisir de partager un café avec vous, merci encore pour les pâtisseries et à très vite ! Nous reviendrons !! :) Nadine et Alain.

Lovely holiday setting

This property is in the beautiful village of Laroque des Alberes. The apartment has everything you need and the pool area is a lovely place to relax. Laroque des Alberes has plenty of bars and restaurants all a ten minute walk away. There are plenty of places to visit, close to beaches and beautiful countryside A fabulous place for a holiday.

superbe location

Il s'agit d'un appartement au 1er étage d'une maison avec une grande terrasse. Puis d'un accés (avec un escalier extérieur) à l'ensemble de la pisicine, transat, patio avec table et BBQ. Les propriétaires ne sont pas là quand la maison est louée. Les prestations sont de qualitées. Les propriétaire sont d'une grande gentillesse, disponilbes et qui prennent soin du bien être de leur locataire. Ensemble superbe. La location est située dans un jolie village avec les premières comodités à pied. Des randonnées partent directement du village. La mer est à 20mn en voiture. Je recommande cette location et nous reviendrons certainement. Merci pour tout

Notre séjour s’est très bien passé L’environnement de la maison est très appréciable pour son calme Les plages d’argeles se trouvent à environ 15 minutes La seule recommandation est d’avoir plus d’utensiles de cuisine (poêle plus grande casserole plus grande)

Nous avons passé deux semaines très agréables dans une jolie maison avec piscine dans un quartier résidentiel et très calme de LAROQUE LES ALBERES. Région idéale pour les visites à 30 minutes de l espagne,à côté d ARGELES,COLLIOURE,PERPIGNAN,PORT VENDRES,BANYULS. Le patio avec la piscine est merveilleux. La piscine est grande et entretenue sur place. Le propriétaire est très disponible pour communiquer. Nous sommes heureux de nos vacances.

Very nice appartment

We are a professional couple who have run our own successful business for more than 25 years in Cheshire, south of Manchester. We have 1 daughter and a lovely cocker spaniel.

We discovered the Languedoc Rousillion area of France in the mid 1980's, when we purchased our 1st property in Collioure

In the late 90's we bought our house in Laroque Des Alberes (FR5984), in a somewhat "tatty" condition. It was purposely built as two self contained apartments on the ground and first floor. The French owner had simply rented them out and done nothing to either apartment or the garden since the day it was built.

But, we could see the potential. So we renovated the 1st floor apt first. Built a swimming pool & sun terrace. Then renovated downstairs for our private use.
There is a BBQ, covered canopy dining area by the pool & lanscaped, colourful gardens

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The beauty of Laroque (FR5984) is that its only 10 mins from the beaches of Collioure, Argeles & St Cyprien but you are located in the foothills of the Pyrenees with fabulous mountains views behind & a sea view to the front.


It's also extremely quiet in the bustling summer season. 5 minute walk to the the village which oozes character with its small streets, lovely stone properties & the "tour" at the top of the old town.

There is a small selection of good quality, interesting restaurants, cafes and bars. The village also provides a pizza take away & dining area in summer, bread shop, Dr, dentist, pharmacist, hairdressers, library, play park, mini market and weekly market.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Superb location. Quiet residential area. 800 metres to the village by road or through the allotments & over the river. Tranquil is a great description for Laroque.

Our rooftop terrace (with access straight off the lounge) offers staggering views of the "Alberes" mountains. How idyllic to sip a glass of local wine watching the moon glide over the mountains with your favourite CD playing softly in the background.

The bathroom has a breathtaking view of Mt Canigou especially between Oct & May when the peak is snow covered.

The tiled pool area is totally private with lovely gardens and a palm tree. 9m x 4m pool with a large surrounding sun terrace. Comfortable sun loungers, shaded canopy for eating or reading. BBQ next to canopy so the men don't feel left out! CDs, Videos & books.
