Beautiful, private location. Fantastic week!!

We had a lovely week at this villa near Lourdas beach. The pros: - beautiful, private and peaceful location - amazing sunsets - excellent communication with manager - easy to find if using Google maps - good facilities i.e A/C, well equipped kitchen - cleaned mid week by friendly staff and pool/ Garden maintained without causing us any inconvenience. - good for families with kids. Lots of space to run around - great location for exploring. 25 mins to airport, 5 mins to beach, 20mins from Lidl The Cons: - the property feels a small bit neglected. I.e broken pool light, broken pool shower, peeling pool liner, peeling paint, broken pool umbrella, odd window didn’t lock properly….all minor things, and easy for management to fix, but did effect the general vibe. - not really a big con……the location is amazing but it’s a Steep walk to the beach. We walked a few times with our kids but a hire car is a must for small children/ anyone with mobility issues. Overall it it was a fantastic week and i can’t fault the manager/staff who were very attentive. I think the location and privacy of this villa was a massive pro for us. Would happily return in future years.

Beautiful location

It is such a gorgeous location and a lovely villa, as described on Vrbo. We had a little detour finding it due to having missed the turning, but once back on track, it was easy to find. You do need a car, ideally. The local restaurants offer wonderful food, and the local markets are within easy reach, as is the lovely beach. I highly recommend this gorgeous villa and location.

Peaceful and lovely

We had a wonderful two weeks here. The house and pool were well maintained, and we loved the location and view. The walk to the beach is steep, so I would recommend a car for anyone with knee or other mobility issues. We will definitely return for another stay.

Family holiday

Very large property with plenty of outside space. Beautiful views down to the sea. Very quiet location ideal for a total relaxing holiday. The property is quite a long way from the beach and taverners/ restaurants. The walk down is ok but walking back is a marathon- I would definitely advise a hire car when staying here. As a family we had a lovely time .

Fabulous Villa in Peaceful Setting

This Villa is a total gem - you will need a car but to wake up to the sound of the waves on the beach and the goat bells while laying in the comfiest beds is worth it - well kitted out kitchen and the living space in doors and outside is fabulous - there were a few snagging issues one was dealt with straight away which was the TV and the rest the team have advised will be resolved eg a few windows not working properly - we come yearly to this area of Kefalonia and this is the best Villa we have stayed in - loved it so much that while we were there we booked it for 2024 - its not over looked has 360 degree views, all 3 bedrooms are large with their own ensuite all of which have baths and overhead shower with balconies and views - the master is especially fab with balconies front and back - added bonus is the washing machine, dishwasher and the great BBQ area - the team managing the villa are at the end of the phone and respond to texts quickly and the maid comes once a week so you are left alone in the peace and quiet of the surroundings

2 months in paradise

We booked the villa before COVID and had to postpone our travel to due restrictions. Elias was very helpful during this time and responded quickly to confirm alternative dates, he also held the rate which was really appreciated. We arrived at the villa and immediately fell in love with the view, it is marvellous easily the best view we have every had in a villa. The villa itself was perfect for us, it was child friendly. The pool was amazing, we spent most of our afternoons relaxing in the pool and keeping cool. The weather was very hot, the AC was a boon. You will need a car here, the walk to the tavernas and beach is downhill. We loved watching the fireworks in villages around us most weekends from the balcony. We enjoyed using the BBQ and sitting under the shade having dinner. We enjoyed our entire time here. We met the owner Elias and Jocelyn and even went to dinner with them one evening. Lourdata is a friendly place and a great base for exploring the beautiful island of Kefalonia

Best sunsets!

We loved this place. It was such a nice reprieve from exploring the island with the lovely views and awesome pool. The host was responsive and top notch. The beds were extremely comfortable and the villa was well equipped. Can’t say enough good things!!! Hope to be back one day :)

Great property. View is second to none. Get a car its hilly! Make sure you take umbrellas down as wind can really pick up overnight. Would love to go back again lovely villa.

Family holiday

The Villa has everything you will need, stunning views and amazing sunsets. The only downside is the very steep hill, no good for elderly or unfit, a car is a must. That said we really enjoyed our time here.

Villa Rhakotis is a well appointed villa kept to a high standard of clendness with spectacular views,the photographs on the web site do not give it justice as it is much larger.Elias and his team offer a first class service as nothing is to much trouble.We had a great time there and would have no hesitation in returning, hiring a car is a must!

From being met by Eleni at the airport,taken to the villa we had a lovely time. The villa met all our expectations. Plenty of space for sunbathing or shade. The balconies upstairs were great for enjoying a glass of wine and watching the sun go down. Friendly people in the village,lovely restaurants. Lisa,s was excellent,just down the bottom of our road. Great bar /cafe opposite. You need to be fit to walk from the villa, takes 15 mins to get to the beach.

Vacances paradisiaques!

Nous avons passé dix jours merveilleux et reposants dans ce véritable petit coin de paradis qu'est l'île de Kefalonia. Encore préservée du tourisme de masse, cette destination offre tous les attraits de parfaites vacances balnéaires en famille. Il s'agit de notre troisième voyage sur l'île mais le premier où nous logeons dans la Villa Rhakotis, à sept voyageurs. Nous avons profité avec délectation de tous ses avantages. Si les trois chambres doubles aux volumes généreux et salles de bains indépendantes ont permis aux différents membres du groupe de jouir d'une authentique intimité, ses salle à manger, terrasse et pergola ont donné lieu à des moments agréables de convivialité. Nous avons aussi beaucoup profité de la piscine régulièrement entretenue, du calme offert par la situation de la Villa (au sommet d'une petite colline) ainsi que de sa vue imprenable sur la baie de Lourdas. Un véhicule (voiture, scooter ou quad) est nécessaire pour se déplacer depuis la Villa mais les premières plages, restaurants ou petits supermarchés sont à 5 minutes seulement. Que ce soit pour nous accueillir, nous conseiller ou pour nous guider à travers l'île, notre hôte s'est montré particulièrement disponible, serviable et agréable. C'est donc sans réserve et avec enthousiasme que nous recommandons la Villa Rhakotis à ses futurs locataires. Nous y reviendrons assurément! Maxime R.

Very nice villa, a little isolated a few niggles

The villa is very nice and comfortable. There were a few little niggles, batteries for a couple of the air con units were flat, HDMI lead needed pushing back in but nothing major. More info in the villa about local tavernas etc would have been useful.

This is a fantastic villa with uncompromised views across Lourdas Bay

This was our first experience of a villa holiday and we were not disappointed. The villa itself is spacious, clean and well maintained with ample parking for up to 3 cars. The pool and terraced area is excellent and there is also a large BBQ area to the side of the property. The only downside is that access is via step narrow roads and the sea front is a good 15 minute walk downhill going and at least 20 minutes return on foot. The villa has spectacular panoramic views of Lourdas Bay that makes the hike up the hill well worth the effort. The owner is very helpful and if you have any questions or requests prior to your visit they go out of their way to accommodate you.

Wonderful villa and service

We were met at the airport by costas who was very welcoming, spoke good English and showed us where the villa was. The villa is stunning with breathtaking views. There is so much room inside and out. I don't want to recommend it too highly in case it's always booked when we want to go!! We would love to return. Elias is a great owner with lots of contact and all questions no matter how small were answered promptly. His staff were very good and Elini was on the end of a phone if we needed anything. The pool man came regularly and an added bonus was there were plenty of towels for beach, pool and villa. We had a car which was useful but sometimes walked back to the villa from the beach anyway. Wonderful holiday in a marvellous villa in an excellent location. Thankyou elias

Superbe maison en Grèce

Superbe semaine dans cette magnifique villa Nous étions deux famille avec 5 enfants et 5 adultes, nous avons eu largement assez de place. La piscine est exceptionelle et le personnelle est venu 2 fois contrôler l'eau et faire les chambres, nous avons été dans un confort parfait. Ayant fait beaucoup d'îles en Grèce , l'île de céphalonia est pour moi la plus cosy et la plus agréable pour des vacances farniente en famille. Merci encore pour cette superbe semaine , a l'année prochaine

Beautiful holidays in the pleasant villa

My famile and I(4 people) have rested in this villa for one week in July 2017. We have prepared our holidays in advance. Elias answered all the questions rapidly and in details, that helped us a lot whith our planning.  My son has arrived in villa one day before all other family. He was met in the airport, taken to the villa and taught about everything.  The villa is well-groomed, everything needed for rest is there. Ideal place for a company of 4-6 people. The swimmingpool is clean and is served regulary. The house itself if located very conveniently, neighbours are not seen. The view on the sean and the mountains is great.  There are 2 shops in 10 monutes walk. Also there are some yavernas and cafes were you can eat traditional greek food. The best option is to be with a car, bacause it is not easy to go from the villa to the sea and backwards. The ratio of price to quality is optimal. Recomend to visit this villa.

Fabulous villa

From my first enquiry the owner couldn't have been more helpful. He arranged for us to be met and accompanied on the trip from the airport and even went shopping for essentials as it was late. The villa is breathtaking, lovely large pool, comfiest beds I've come across in a villa, and such wonderful views from three balconies and sun terrace. We had our best holiday ever. 100% recommended!

Lovely view!

My girlfriend and I, along with two other couples, stayed in this lovely villa. The views are spectacular with a backdrop of a mountain and clear blue water. The villa is on the side of a mountain with a couple of bars and restaurants in walking distance. I would recommend hiring a car to go exploring though. We were met at the airport from Jeff who was very nice and supporting thought out our stay.

Beautiful Villa in Stunning Location!

We stayed at Villa Rhakotis for 2 weeks in June. From the beginning booking is simple and the owner Elias answers any questions quickly and efficiently. We hire a car which in my opinion is essential as the villa is up a steep hill. Elias organised the car hire for and the company were there to meet us when we arrived at Kefalonia Airport along with Jeff who is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We followed him to the villa and pleased we did or we would never have found it. The villa is simply stunning. There are 3 massive, comfortable bedrooms all with their own en suite and balcony. There is a very well equipped kitchen and a comfortable living room. The swimming pool is divine and is very private with amazing views. We spent most days relaxing in the sunshine around the pool. Mobile numbers are provided in case you have any questions and Jeff is always happy to help. Thank you to Elias and Jeff for making our holiday amazing and to see you again one day :)

Luxury in the sun!

This is our second visit to Rhakotis villa and we were not disappointed in any way. Jeff met us at the airport and advised us on trips and restaurants and was always on hand if we had any queries or problems. It was lovely to meet his wife Sue as well. We bought along my daughter''s friend this year who loved the pool and the local beach where we hired a speedboat for the day. The weather was perfect, over 30 degrees every day, we appreciated the villa's air conditioning on our return from the beach. We would not hesitate in recommending Rhakotis villa to families and couples and hope to return in the future.

"Villa Gorgeous"

I won't say anything about the island of Kefalonia, as most have been before. Suffice to say though, it is heaven on earth. We renamed Villa Rhakotis, "Villa Gorgeous", or rather my two and a half year old granddaughter, who stayed with us for the first of our three weeks, did. The views from every angle is simply stunning. The front has the turquoise sea, and the mountain at the back just takes your breath away. The villa itself has everything you would expect for a home from home, admittedly we never used the oven or cooker, but I'm sure if you didn't want to visit any of the fantastic tavernas, the kitchen would allow you to cook anything you wanted. From the booking contact we had with Elias, through to meeting Jeff and Sue, everything about Villa Gorgeous was easy, friendly and accommodating. Whatever I say will not do justice to the Villa, so please don't take my word for how beautiful it is, just book. Gary

Ideal Villa

We stayed at Villa Rhakotis for a week in June 2015 – three sisters and their chaps. Three bedrooms, all with brilliant sea views across the bay with additional balconies and BBQ patios with the same. The villa is well equipped, spacious, clean – it was excellent. The pool needed using on a daily basis and was up to the job! Elias was most helpful in advising us in the booking process, organised our car hire and gave travel advice for the couple who flew into Athens from Atlanta. We arrived in two separate groups and were separately met and taken to the villa by Jeff and Sue – very useful as it took us a few trips to get to grips with the location. Jeff dropped by midweek to see how we were, give advice on the island and to change towels. The walk to the beach is easy – coming back is more of a challenge and so we used the cars. Kefalonia speaks for itself. We don’t often go to the same place twice but would be happy to do so here.

We provide a sand-screw and umbrella so you can travel light and it is your chance to enjoy this fantastic Villa. It is a home from home with all the cutlery, and utensils, so you can just relax and soak up the sun
10-15 minute walk downhill to Lourdas beach, which has sunbeds and motorboat hire. Pessada port is also a ten-minute drive where you can catch the ferry to Zante and the neighboring islands of Ithaca and Lefkada can be reached via Fiscardo, Sami, and Ayia Efimia.
