Beautiful Porto Petro

Pedro is a great host. The villa had everything we needed. Pool was lovely and having 3 showers was great. Easy access to all local beaches and coves. El Baul restaurant (2min walk away) is a must visit and very close Thanks you again Pedro, we hope to return !

Clean simple house, friendly host

Very clean simple house, however quite old in substance. Very friendly host, Pedro. Unfortunately no provision of simple basics such as shower gel, waste bags, olive oil, pepper or sugar.

Very helpful owner

We knew the house we rented was next to a new hotel but assumed the builders would not be working as it was about to open. They were still working full-tilt. When we got there, Pedro kindly offered us another house in Porto Petro, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! Thanks Pedro and Toni, see you again sometime. Peter

A perfect week away

Ca'n Turricano was exactly what we'd hoped for. We were three couples with a 1 1/2 year old and the house was perfect as a base for the week, both for its location and for lazing about by the pool. Pedro stopped by a few times during the week to check in and deliver fresh towels or add extra time onto the air con (9pm to 5am was standard but we added extra hours for €2 p/hr p/day as the mid-July heat was hard to put a baby to sleep in!). It's a 10 minute walk to Portopetro which has several great restaurants, a well appointed shop/deli, a handful of tourist/clothing shops, and also to a small beach perfect for swimming and snorkeling. FYI: The nearby Ikos resort does not allow day passes for the spa. The location was quiet with plenty of street parking. The construction site next door was no problem at all as whatever work was being done was happening too far away to hear. Our highlights of the trip were the market at Santanyí, exploring some of the small coves around the island, and cooking fresh fish on the charcoal BBQ at the villa.

Should have advised of pool issues

Positives: Great location close to the town, but in a fairly private location. Communication with host excellent prior to trip and happy for us to check into the villa earlier Villa has all that you need Negatives The pool had a hole in It which meant that twice a day the owner arrived to turn a hose on and off to keep it topped up, our issues with that which may not be a problem for everyone is that we like quiet uninterrupted time, and although the host did not stop and talk, we just felt that it was intrusive. But what was frustrating is we should have been told about the issue ahead of the trip and what that would mean, hence the lower scoring for communication. Also like others have mentioned the villa could do with some updating and was a bit worse for wear than the photos. The photos could do with updating as well as there is no longer a children’s play area, but more a wasteland where they may be building, we don’t have children, but if the play area is something that as a parent you’d see as a bonus it is not there

Mauvais rapport qualité prix

Pedro est un hôte très gentil et bien attentionné mais un peu trop présent durant notre séjour, limite intrusif, sans compter le jardinier/poolman qui passe tous les 2 jours.Sa maison est agréable de par ses espaces mais le mobilier est vétuste :- vieille cuisine où la gazinière marche difficilement. Lave vaisselle qui lave à moitié, cafetière inutilisable- literie à ressort pas confortable- un lit bébé mis à disposition mais qui doit dater de 1960…- placard dans les chambres qui sentent le renfermé- table et chaises extérieures raides.Les prestations qu’offrent réellement la maison ne correspondent pas à l’annonce et rendent le prix demandé excessif (2700 pour 6 nuits) :- climatisation qui ne marche que de 21h à 5h. Information donnée qu’une semaine avant notre arrivée donc aucun retournement possible. Pas top quand on choisit le logement pour la climatisation car il y a un bébé de 15 mois et une femme enceinte de 7 mois en plein juillet.- aucun fondamentaux du quotidien : éponge, vinaigre, huile, recharge de PQ, sucre, sac poubelle, gel douche, savon main, essuie-tout, lessive, pince à linge (quelques unes seulement)…Quand on a râlé, on nous a répondu que généralement les gens achètent. Pas très pratique d’acheter tout en gros pour laisser la moitié à la fin, surtout vu le prix de la nuitée.- barbecue à charbon mais très sale (pas d’ustensiles pour nettoyer) et inutilisable car rien pour l’allumer (charbon, bois et allume-feux)

Es war ein schöner Urlaub

Das Haus liegt wunderbar ruhig, trotzdem ist man schnell am Hafen. Die Betten waren gut und auch ansonsten hat uns das Haus gut gefallen. Ein Punkt Abzug für die Küche. Die Küche sollte aus unserer Sicht mal komplett neu gemacht werden. Zwar ist jetzt ein neuer Backofen drin, aber die Schränkte sind einfach alt. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war bestens - super schnelle Reaktion und direkt vor Ort, wenn man ihn braucht. Auf Anfrage hat uns der Vermieter eine Nespresso Maschine zur Verfügung gestellt. Es war ein schöner Urlaub.

Séjour agréable et très bien situé

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine en famille. La villa est bien située à 5/10 min à pied d'une jolie petite plage très calme (si on enlève les travaux alentours) avec peu de monde et bcp d'emplacement à l'ombre qui évite d'amener un parasol. Le centre de Puerto Petro est à la même distance, avec des restos sympas (nous avons mangé aux El Baúl et Es Celler), un glacier et une supérette. Les grosses courses se font à 15min en voiture à Santanyi. La petite station balnéaire animée de Cala d'Or est à 10min en voiture avec pleins de bars et restos. La villa est tout confort, les propriétaires sont très gentils et au petits soins. Entretien de la piscine et changement des serviettes de toilettes dans la semaine. Seul bémol et qui n'est pas stipulé dans l'annonce, l'air conditionné ne fonctionne que de 21h à 5h du mat', si vous voulez plus, comptez 30€/j de supplément.... Je comprends la démarche vu l'augmentation du prix de l'énergie mais il aurait été plus pro de le mettre dans l'annonce.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der Villa Turicano sehr genossen! Es hat einfach alles perfekt gepasst, war sauber, gut gepflegt und unglaublich nett. Ganz nah am Hafen (zu Fuss erreichbar). Ich kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Lovely villa set In a pretty garden enclosed by woodland in a small, beautiful resort

Spacious, clean villa with good amenities. Comfortable beds and sofas. Kitchen is very well equipped but will soon need updating. Both bathrooms within the villa are of a good standard. The outside toilet/shower is very handy when using the pool. The pool and gardens are looked after twice a week, though it can be annoying to be woken early by the gardeners! Clean towels and bedding were left for us to change once during our ten day stay as well as beach/pool towels. Any minor problems we encountered were soon rectified by the very friendly owner Pedro. It was so nice to chat to him about the history of the villa and surrounding area. The location of the villa is very quiet, just what we wanted with a 5month old baby and 6 year old. It's a nice walk downhill into the picturesque Portopetro with its few shops and super restaurants. Our favourite restaurant was Norai on the waterfront, great menu! New favourite drink is called 'Hugo', gin, elderflower, soda and mint! For us it was a good location as you don't always have to use the car to either go to the beach or go out to eat or for a drink. Fab holiday at Villa Turicano, would recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

Wonderful, nice, calm house

Lovely house in a calm neighborhood,short walk through the woods to a small quiet beach. Lots of nice restaurants in Porto Petro - the best - Es Celler 9 -where we had a really nice evening. Big supermarket in Santanyi - Eroski and Lidl - so good to have a car if you want to go there. Day trip to Cala Mondrago, really nice beach, but very crowded. The house was perfect for 6, nice and clean and a lovely service from Pedro. We would really like to come back! Thanks

Relaxing and quiet stay

Brilliant week in Porto Petro

Just returned from Porto Petro staying in Villa Turicano and have to say this is one of the nicest villas we've stayed in. Pedro the owner was extremely helpful and welcoming even offering us a lift back from the port with our shopping one day when he passed us on the road. We are looking forward to our next visit now. The Villa is situated in a cul-de-sac, very private with just 2 other Villas. Its a short walk down the hill to restaurants and supermarkets and people in the port are welcoming and friendly. The walk back is a takes a bit more effort but its well worth it. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Beautifully relaxing break

This is a lovely little villa on a very quiet street with only 3 other properties. It was nicely maintained and the owner Pedro was very helpful. The directions to the villa were clear and easy to follow and Porto Petro itself is a gorgeous little town. There aren't many restaurants but the ones we tried were all of excellent quality (our firm favourite being Rafael y Flora overlooking the harbour). It's a very short walk down to the town from the villa so it really provides the best of both worlds - peace and quiet but near all amenities.
