Beach Villa In Armona Island - Algarve, Olhao

The villa is located in Armona island in the Ria Formosa Natural Park (one of 7 Wonders of Portugal). To get there you must take the boat, just 15 minutes from Olhao. You can choose a taxi-boat and in 5 minutes you get there. In Island there isn't cars and no traffic. The island is constituted by sandy beaches and in the south of the island it has the blue flag. The sands of sight is great for those who like long walks. This is a perfect place for families with children, because they can roam and play with no worries. In the island there are several restaurants where you can taste the typical gastronomy of Algarve. Our home is situated in a quiet part of the island, about 50 steps from the beach and 150 meters from the boat docks and the restaurants. In outdoor area of the villa, you can take a rest or take a suntan. If the sun is too hot, you can go to the beach for a quick dip! It will be an unforgettable holidays! We are waiting for you!

Stunningly beautiful island, big sandy beaches, a safe bay near the ferry is literally seconds walk from the villa. Not busy in Sept when we stayed. A few bars/restaurants (no good for vegetarian/vegan diets but can buy food on the mainland and cook in the villa easily) Easy access via frequent cheap ferries from the mainland felt friendly and safe spacious villa, very well equipped kitchen, lovely terrace with chairs, sun loungers and hammock. good value for moneyPossible improvements would be to address the below... - beds very uncomfortable- no aircon and only one working fan- slightly tricky to find initially (could be us being a bit tired from the journey and useless) - some issues with wifi turned out to be charger cable so easy to resolve once we had worked that out. All in all a wonderful holiday and we would defo return to the same villa. Telma very helpful.

A beautiful stay

We had a fantastic time. The accommodation had everything we needed and was very clean. The photos do not do the villa justice. It's is a really good size. It was so close to the first beach, bars and restaurants. It is a stunning little island, so beautiful and peaceful. The kids played all day everyday on the sandy beaches. There are a couple of little shops on the island. And a bigger supermarket on Olhao. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Amazing place,Armona quite unique and very beautiful.

Great location . Very quick responding host. House was so lovely ,kitchen well equipped. Spent most of time outside on terrace which was perfect. Some issues with getting hot water but we braved the cold showers because everything else was good . Wi-Fi was good for a couple of days but didn’t work the last couple of days . Will definitely return to Armona .

Los propietarios un encanto, la limpieza regular. El sitio es un paraíso, para los que no han ido nunca se deben de llevar carro de la compra ya que hay que hacerla en Olaho y los perros tienen que llevar una jaula para subirlos al Ferry, sino tendrán que coger un taxi bote y es caro

Fab getaway!

We stayed here after our honeymoon and loved the place. The island is paradise. The house was great - the kitchen and bathrooms were fab but the bedrooms let it down a bit - some of the most uncomfortable beds ever and the bedding wasn't great - a few stains on some and the pillows were a bit gross. If the bedrooms were just brought up a little bit to higher standards and brand new bedding with duvets and clean pillows and sheets then I would absolutely give it 5 stars - the BBQ and outside areas are brilliant, the location is phenomenal and the island is so special. Telma is a dream to communicate with. Overall we absolutely loved our stay!

Lovely relaxing beach holiday

We went to Armona as a family of five with late-teen kids. The property suited us perfectly, with plenty of space for everyone. The bathrooms and kitchen are very modern, the bedrooms are more basic, but fine. The kitchen is very well equipped. The outdoor area is beautiful, with areas of sun and shade throughout the day, plenty of seating and space for cooking, eating and lounging. The location of the property is amazing, just a short walk from the beach and the ferry. We found Armona island very relaxing, friendly and unpretentious. The nearest beach is on the lagoon, and tends to be busier, although it never felt crowded. The Atlantic beach was much quieter; it stretches for approximately 4 miles and is deserted in parts, very beautiful. Olhāo, the town on the mainland, was interesting; a working fishing port with a lively Saturday market, lots of opportunities for boat trips to the surrounding islands. Access to the property was surprisingly easy. We got an uber from Faro airport to the ferry, took the boat across to Armona, then it was a short walk from the ferry to the property. Telma was extremely helpful and kind, and kept us well informed throughout the booking process and during our stay.
