About Tim Paterson
We live in London with our Spaniels. We both work but love to escape to the sea.
Tim Paterson purchased this Apartment in 2013
Why Tim Paterson chose Whitstable
I love what Whitstable has to offer, the working harbour, beach walks and general love of the sea, sound of the Gulls. That you can switch off, as soon as you drive over the hill into Whitstable and see the sea in the distance! My wife, dogs and I thrive on soaking it all up!
What makes this Apartment unique
Mutleys hut at the end go the garden offers a great space to work or read or just chill. It has Wifi and seating which can be used on the deck in front.

Beautiful property. Very clean and well provided. The furniture and decoration was stylish and well thought out. The added addition of a summer house was a bonus.
Can’t recommend highly enough!
We stayed at 10A for our wedding weekend. It was an amazing little property and I can’t think of anywhere better to have stayed! We haven’t even been married 48hrs and already want to book again for our 1st anniversary!
The space was excellent and 6 of us had no problems getting ready...even with hair and make up ladies and a photographer here too. Although we did all miss a full length mirror.
We didn’t get the opportunity to utilise the garden and Mutleys Hut, but it really is very pretty and well maintained!
Communication from Tara & Tim was excellent, with clear instructions re check in/out and any questions answered promptly.
Honestly can’t recommend highly enough!
Quirky property, very convenient for Whitstable High St, pubs and restaurants. Very clean and well equipped. Good guide by the owners. Nice welcome gift of rose wine etc.
We visited The Sportsman for an excellent tasting menu and our third visit to Wheelers via the excellent Offy opposite as its BYO and no corkage. They have managed to improve the luscious lobster lasagna.
Wi-fi was good and Sky TV a bonus. Used the hut at the end of the garden for a work video conference with no issues.
Nice little hideaway in Whitstable
Tim and Tara’s 10A West Cliff is a nice little cottage in a quiet street just off the main road and close to everything. The welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch which we appreciated. East Kent gastro pub is just a short walk away with a great atmosphere and good food. We suggest that Tim and Tara include that pub in their information book.
Fab property in Whistable, a great base to see the coast of Kent
Really great house, and garden. Great for our family and dog. In a great area to use as a base to visit some fab places, Herne Bay, Broadstairs, Deal, Sandwich and a gem of a place Reculver.
Property was equipped with lots of lovely extras, warm and very clean.
Fab few days had by all.
Succumb to the charms of 10A (and Whitstable)
We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay in this beautifully appointed apartment. We smiled as soon as we came in - it has a calm and relaxing feel and we felt instantly at home. Everything is just as you hope for - large, cool bedroom with lots of storage space, extremely comfortable bed with luxury linen (as a result we came home and splashed out on bedding from The White Company), cosy living room, separate dining room (when you’re too lazy to go down the garden to Mutley’s Hut), well-equipped kitchen, and a showroom bathroom (the shower is fantastic). The flat was spotlessly clean, the welcome goodies were much appreciated, and the instructions/guidance were excellent.
Suggestions from us - do spend some time in Mutley’s Hut (breakfast or lunch or book reading and sipping a cool drink), wander round Whitstable (lovely shops, great restaurants and pubs, and beautiful sunsets), leave the car and use public transport (bus to Canterbury and Herne Bay, train to Margate).
Restaurant recommendations include Farm and Harper (great for breakfast - and you can book a table), Wheelers Oyster Bar (wonderful crab cakes - book well ahead and take any day/time you can get!), Samphire, Birdies, and The Sportsman (in Seasalter - book well in advance, take a taxi and enjoy a glass of champagne).
Tim and Tara were a pleasure to deal with and responded speedily to any queries we had as part of the booking process. They have a lovely home in 10A and we’re so pleased that we were able to share it. We’re sure you will too.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, we are so thrilled you loved our home and Whitstable, as much as we do.
We greatly look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
Very best wishes
Tara & Tim
The shingle beach is a 7 minute walk from the apartment. It is open to dogs all year round and perfect for families to spend the day.
Whitstable Railway station is a 10 minute walk, or 2 minutes in a cab. The journey is 90 minutes from London Victoria. Whitstable is 35 minutes from the M25/M2 junction on a normal day.
The high street is a 2 minute walk.
The Old High Street has great shopping with unique Local Shops, Café's and Bars and just around the corner is the working harbour where you can enjoy the catch of the day or simply watch the activities going on.
Whitstable is like no other town by the sea. Its traditional charms, strong arts culture and rich maritime history complement the town's modern appeal. It's main claim to fame is its oysters which remain an intrinsic part of this sea town's character.
