About Kalin Harvard
We are a Texas family hailing from Midland. We love to eat, drink, and travel. We love family trips where we can come together, but with enough space to breathe as individuals or couples. We have an extensive history in Ruidoso at Ski Apache and Win Place & Show. We love the feel of an intimate mountain town and all it has to offer. We are golfers, we are hikers, we are horseback riders, we are skiers, we are snowboarders, we are fine diners, we are lovers of wine and burgers and beers....above all we are family and enjoy the feeling and comforts of home even when we travel. This house was selected and furnished with these ends in mind, so kick off your shoes and fall face first into the comforts of home away from home. Welcome to Ruidoso!

Lovely large home close to everything!
Really enjoyed our stay. Large home accommodated 3 different families for our yearly gathering. Would definitely stay there again.
It was a beautiful house. Just needed more places to sit up stairs. We spent a lot of time up ther
Great for families!
The accommodation was very spacious and great for our family of 10. It has a very nice kitchen with everything you’d need. The master bedroom and bath was a nice cozy retreat.
Mona who is the local contact couldn’t be more helpful with anything you need.
Wonderful Rental Property
We enjoyed our stay over the weekend. Met up with family and friends in Ruidoso and the house met all our needs. Plenty of sleeping options, lots of room to relax, wonderful decor, all the dishes needed for cooking and eating, grill worked well. Loved the shuffleboard table!! I highly recommend this rental for your next trip to Ruidoso.
Nice well stocked property
We all enjoyed our stay.
Second stay, second great experience!
This was our second time to stay here. Two families for 5 nights. Everything was great, just like last time.
Big rooms, excellent bedding, ample closet space, big bathrooms with updated amenities.
Plenty of activities for adults and kids - Shuffleboard, poker room, dish tv... even a swing in a big tree.
The house was spotless when arrived and the owners were gracious, as always.
You won’t find a better house, better location or better management, anywhere.
We’ll be back!
This magnificent family getaway sits less than a mile from the bustling downtown area, yet is nestled among pine trees overlooking a wooded ravine in the backyard, with beautiful views of Sierra Blanca out the front picture windows!! We are 5 miles from Ski Apache, across the street from Cree Meadows golf course, and a hop, skip, and a jump from groceries and shopping! From our centrally located home there is no limit to the number of wonderful activities in any direction. Bundle up the kids and head to Ski Apache atop Sierra Blanca Mountain to ski, snowboard, snow tube, and zip line at 13,000 ft. We always stop at Log Cabin for breakfast along the way, and either bring a cooler of healthy snacks or have an Apache burger on the mountain for lunch. There's also a bar for the adults after the last run of the day, and then we head down to Casa Blanca for New Mexican cuisine and margaritas! Finish it off with a cozy fire and cards at the 8 person poker table, while the kids play shuffleboard or watch a movie on our satellite TV. The Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino is ten minutes from the house. We reserve a table at the resort's Wendell's restaurant (try the elk tenderloin, it's delicious!), arrive a bit early to watch the sun set over the lake and sip a drink in the bar, and, if we're feeling lucky, hit the casino for a bit on the way out. There is also a great buffet, and if you time it right, great bands to see as well. A short drive to Ruidoso Downs brings you to the Ruidoso Downs Racetrack and Billy the Kid Casino. There's nothing like feeling the breeze on your face as you see, hear, and feel the thunder of horses racing past, your heart pounding in step with the hooves, and your hopes as high as the peaks in the background. Get a table at the jockey club for a bird's eye view or crowd the fence on the ground to feel the vibrations, but get to the races for a winning experience. Downtown Ruidoso is right around the corner filled with art, food, drink, and New Mexican mountain charm. Shop for everything from fine art to doggie sweaters, but don't forget to stop in to the wineries in between. At the Noisy Water Winery, we love the hatch chili wine (seriously) served cool as a refresher on a hot summer day. The Village Buttery is great home cooking with mouth watering specials served just for lunch. We also like Dreamcatcher's, Chef Shawn's Eatery (pulled pork and beans), Flame Burger (burgers and tacos), Tina's Cafe (chicken tamales), Cornerstone Bakery (breakfast and lunch), and Cafe Rio (pizza). For dinner call ahead to Michael J's for tasty Italian food. Those are some of our favorites, but by no means all, of Ruidoso's local eateries. If you still have the energy to drink and dance, check out Win Place & Show, and carry on till they carry you out! Day trip to experience the wild west in Lincoln County at The Lincoln County Historic Site, the town where Billy the Kid made his daring escape from jail, and into legend. Or head to White Sands New Mexico to see where the first atomic blast happened and survey a unique geological feature. Hiking abounds in the area, and a google search will surely set you off in the right direction. We favor Bonita Canyon, but there is no shortage of scenic trails in and around Ruidoso. Welcome to Ruidoso, New Mexico.
