About the property

5 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms - one shower, one bathtub, Sleeps 5-12

Launch your adventure vacation getaway in the Wyman Lake/Upper Kennebec River Valley, from this family-friendly 5 bedroom home. Boat launch onto Kennebec River and ATV/Snowmobile trail access directly across the road so you can ride your front door. Please note: there may be high snowbanks in winter so if you have an expensive sled and like to baby it, you may prefer to ride a hundred feet north to the gas station where there is access without the banks or park your trailer next to 201 Power Sports where they also rent and repair ATVs and sleds and hop DIRECTLY onto ITS 87.

In town location, next to school with basketball and tennis courts.

Fishing on the Kennebec.

Short drive to Moscow Boat Landing.

Rafting company 3 minutes away with restaurant and pub.

201 Power Sports as you come into town headed North offering ATV and Snowmobile rentals and repairs.

Large kitchen. Diningroom. Livingroom with TV.

* NOTE: There is NO Cable, Dish or Wi-Fi!!! There is however an old fashioned TV with video player and family and action adventure videos, decks of cards, cribbage board, various books and board games. This is our own adventure getaway and we prefer to be present with each other rather than connected to our devices. Please do not book if you are an electronics junkie and need these services. You can find them elsewhere in town, including Wi-Fi at the local library around the corner, just not here! There is generally cell service but obviously we cannot guarantee as you’ll be in the North Woods and we don’t run the cell towers. There is a landline phone for outgoing emergency calls only.

Happy adventures everyone!! We hope you will love it here as much as we do!

About Laurie, Property Owner/Manager

Moving back to this small town after years in England, Switzerland and Austria, I came to appreciate how magnificent the area is. We were fortunate enough to acquire this home when the market was at an all-time low so we feel priviledged to be able to offer it to you at a very affordable rate, that you too may come to appreciate the joys of a small town, so close to some of the most magnificent sights, experiences and adventures Maine and New England have to offer.

Laurie, Property Owner/Manager purchased this house in 2012

Why Laurie, Property Owner/Manager chose Bingham

Built in 1900, this historic home has housed multi-generation families, with kids coming and going, for as long as anyone can remember. In the heart of this small Maine town, this home itself has a heart. If you're looking for pristine accommodation, this isn't it. If you're looking for a comfortable, clean home with plenty of space for the kids to run and play, your friends to visit, or to gather together and plan your day's activities, this is it! It needs some updating, and we continue to do little projects each time we stay there ourselves, so if you can overlook the need for a fresh coat of paint over the original plaster walls, then we are sure you will have a wonderful, affordable vacation exploring and experiecing some of the best Maine has to offer, and come back to see us soon!

What makes this house unique

Central location, easy to find, easy access, lots of parking, space for the kids to play, small town character and charm!

Very good place, in convenient location

  • 4 of 5

Lots of room in good condition. Will stay again, but location is in the town of Bingham. Not on the water or the woods.

We really enjoyed the home. Very spacious!

  • 4 of 5

Laurie made us feel very welcome in her home and made herself available if we were in need of any guidance with the home or the area. We were familiar enough with the area but were thankful that she would go above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay if we weren't. Also she responded very quickly to our request for the house and to the text we sent her before we arrived. The house is a very nice home. The heat worked great and came up fast after being out all day in the cold. The beds were very comfortable. The house was close to many amenities. I look forward to a return stay in Bingham again if this house was available to rent again.

CooL old farmhouse!!

  • 3 of 5

We stayed at this old farmhouse for our annual fall atv trip. We loved having the fire going in the woodstove to keep us warm. The house had everything we needed and we would stay there again. We all thought it would be even better if it was in the middle of a big feild!!! The home owner was friendly and easy to work with. We would stay here again.

A home away from home

  • 4 of 5

This was just what we needed in Bingham, Maine. It was close to the wedding site and it was a true home away from home. We could sit around the kitchen table and have coffee together or sit in the livingroom and talk. We took my 80+ parents to their granddaughter's wedding and it was perfect for their needs.

Bingham is a small town with a few places to eat and a grocery store. Everyone in Bingham was very friendly.
