Great spot!

Beautiful home in the perfect location. The kitchen was well stocked with tons of high end pots and pans and kitchenware. With 4 bedrooms downstairs , on on main floor and one on the 3rd floor, the home provided lots of room to spread out for 2 families. The pool table, fire pit, hot tub and basketball hoop were a plus. We brought a paddle board and rented two 2-person kayaks which was great (company recommended by rental agency drops off and picks up). We would absolutely return to deep creek and stay at this home.

First Time in Deep Creek!!

Had a great first trip and experience in Deep Creek. The entire booking from confirmation details, checkin and out was very quick and simple. The property was gorgeous and stocked with anything you need to feel at home. Will definitely be back and hope the same property will be available.

Good house -- beware of travel insurance

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was great. We were pleased at how sturdy it felt after years of staying in beach houses with thin walls and floors. The kitchen was well equipped and the linens and towels met our expectations. Note that there's no real yard, but there is a fire pit in the space that exists. We had no trouble with the hot tub -- it was working as expected once it warmed up. Beware, however, of the embedded travel insurance option in the rental contract. By initialing page 2 of the rental contract, indicating that you've read the terms of the travel insurance, Taylor Made initiates a travel insurance policy (the premium is an additional fee, about 10% of the rental fee). Given that this is a drive-to destination for most and there's no chance of missed flights or lost luggage, the travel insurance wasn't needed for our group. Embedding the travel insurance into the rental contract also seemed suspicious to me, as it should be a separate transaction. Beware, this isn't renter-friendly. It's a fine house and we'd go there again. Just be on alert about the travel insurance.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The lake house was very nice, well equipped with everything that a family would need for a weeks stay. Very small backyard. I was hoping for more yard for children to play in. The only error in description was regarding a Keurig coffee machine. The description specifically listed having a Keurig coffee maker, however, when we arrived, their were 2 drip coffee makers and no Keurig. When the management company was contacted they were very courteous and someone was out quickly with a replacement Keurig since that was what we were prepared for. Overall a very pleasant, relaxing stay.

Its beautiful, comfortable and cozy, and it is very spacious it easily accommodated our large group. I could not be more satisfied with the actual house it’s self. However, I am a very disappointed with Taylor-Made. I DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW. But it seems they can send me a “please review your stay” email before they can return my phone calls about an issue I had with the property. I had called Taylor-Made over a week prior to our visit. I had seen a lot of reviews claiming the hot tub was not working properly. The hot tub was a major reason we rented this place because our group was there to ski and snowboard, and after a long day wanted to relax in the hot tub. They had told me they “replaced a part on the hot tub Jan 25th and it was 100% up and running.” This was a complete lie. The hot tub did not get over 54 degrees the entire weekend. We called them numerous times, they sent two workers out to “fix it” but it never got even slightly warm. I am very frustrated because I have tried to reach out to Taylor-Made 3 times to discuss my groups extreme disappointment for the lack of a properly working hot tub, especially when I was assured prior to my trip it was working 100%. If I would have know the hot tub was not working I would have requested a different home. So with that said, our group did have a great time and the house was great but the fact the hot tub did not work was a MAJOR negative in our weekend I had 14 disappointed people expecting somthjng they didn’t get.

Family and friends enjoyed our time together snow tubing at WISP, games, fireplace, delicious food, movies, karaoke, and roasting marshmallows on the outdoor fire pit. Taylor Made quickly responded to our requests as needed. Ultimately they replaced the dishwasher and microwave with new appliances. We suggest replacing the hor tub which had a problem maintaining 100 degree temperature during our stay. We definitely would stay there again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hot tub water was cloudy/discolored/rust color. The cathedral lakeside windows in the great room leaked severely with ever rain during our week wetting the floor, carpet and easy chair. Obviously this was not a new occurrence. The boat slip was very nice. The annoyance was with the narrow back yard and the need for the house next to us (left when facing the front) to walk to the same slip. A new trail for that house or a widening of Stone Crest's yard towards the water would make it comfortable. sitting at the fire pit and 10 people with boat gear squeezing past you on the way to their slip is a very poor design and unacceptable and should be advertised with Stone Crest's info.

Stone Crest - Wonderful Accommodations

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: During our 2 week stay, this was our home and we wouldn't have wanted to be any where else. The location was perfect, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped and the layout was perfect for all ages including our 78 yo parents who have some difficulty getting around. They were able to do the steps (not steep) as well as manage the walkway to the dock slip. We all had a blast and used all the house and lake had to offer. The hot tub had 2 issues - it didn't get beyond 91 degrees so it was Luke warm and it was a little dirty perhaps due to the sulphar in the water. Overall, we all had an awesome time!

Spring Fling at Stone Crest

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I chose the house for the setup and location. My sisters and I took my father and his wife away for a 4 night vacation. We wanted a house that was easily accessible from the front entrance meaning not a lot of steps to get into the house. The master bedroom on the main level also made it easy as we were vacationing with an older couple. The house is lake front and has full amentities, so we could enjoy the view while enjoying each others company. The fire pit and hot tub as well as the indoor fireplaces made up for the chilly rainy weather. Overall we had a great time playing games, shopping at local gift shops and dining out. The three floor setup, beautifully furnished bedrooms and 2 large dining tables made it the perfect house for our family.

Stone Crest Friends / Fam Retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was spacious and the location was good. The general condition of the home: needs repairs (cracks and holes on bedroom doors). The dishwasher did not work. We checked in on Thursday evening and we had to hand wash dishes Thur and Fri. Eventually I called maintenance and they said the dishwasher part was coming Fri afternoon; they did not proactively tell me the dishwasher was broke. We had no rolls of toilet paper upon arrival, and there were nerds and pistachios shells on the floor. We found blonde hair in our beds (no one has blonde hair). The microwave stopped working Sunday. We checked out Monday at 4pm. The house itself was pretty and suit our needs (accommodating to the amount of people) but it definitely needs repairs and was not clean properly.

Reviewer Comments: We used the home as a base for a team off-site where we had team meetings, cooked dinner together, enjoyed the space and the activities, went on a boating trip, and ran a 1/2 marathon in Frostburg. Highly recommend this home! it was gorgeous, spacious, and clean.

Beautiful Place

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival to Deep Creek, we stopped to check in and receive our welcome back. We were an hour early, so they gave us an early activation code to enter our house which was very nice. The place was BEAUTIFUL. Everything was clean, the bedrooms were beautiful, the view of the lake was amazing. There were plenty of chairs since we had a big group to sit around the fire and enjoy the huge hot tub. My whole group LOVED the place and we definitely recommend staying here!! It's within walking distance to stores, the market and bars!
