'Impresionantes vistas': villa con piscina a poca distancia de la playa

Construido a principios de 1900, 'Stunning Views' es una gran villa (700 metros cuadrados), que ha pertenecido a la misma familia desde entonces. Está en la hermosa zona de San Vigilio di Garda, a un par de minutos a pie de una playa muy bonita con excelentes oportunidades para nadar. Fue galardonado con el premio 'Mejor vista del lago de Garda' por una revista italiana de alquiler de villas por sus vistas del lago de Garda y la famosa ubicación única de Punta San Vigilio: un lugar encantador y apartado en el lago de Garda. Los espaciosos interiores de la villa acaban de ser renovados, pero la villa aún conserva su encanto original. El gran jardín cercado está inmerso en una reserva natural con árboles centenarios y flores raras (¡orquídeas silvestres de primavera en el jardín!), senderos para caminar y MTB. Cerca de muchas encantadoras aldeas bonitas del lago de Garda con puerto, castillos, cata de vinos y deliciosa comida. ¡Venecia se encuentra a poca distancia en coche de la villa, así como el italiano Disneyland 'Gardaland', Verona, Parcosigurtà, Borghetto, Sirmione, Vicenza, Padua, Milán, Bérgamo!

Beautiful location and house very suitable for large family. Special praise for owner Maria who gave us lots of ideas for things to do around the lake and who was very helpful on several occasions when needed but was unobtrusive the rest of the time. We had an amazing time in this beautiful summer villa. The house is magical, the view is indeed stunning and the host is just great: super communication, information and tips, highly positive both in writing and in person. The garden and the pool was great both for sunbathing and a cool down, as was Lago di Garda and the Garda city Beach. Monte Baldo (by Chair lift from Pre Alpestina 1h away) was also a great experience. Many nice restaurants in the Garda area and nice hikes just outside the garden. We are very happy to have found this place - hope someday to be able to return

Extended family get together

We booked this villa to treat our children and their young children and to share a holiday with them and by Australian brother. The location and views were spectacular and the rustic villa was comfortable for us to enjoy and the resident owner looked after us well. The beach was not as close and easy to get to as we hoped but we found plenty to enjoy with hired cars. A great time for all.

Dear Roland thank you for your 5 star review! We were very pleased to meet your family and you were a most wonderful family! I am sorry you could not find the shortcut walking path to the beach. Following your misunderstanding of the path, we have uploaded a picture of the walking path on our advert for future guests. My partner and I will also be a available to accompany future guests on the walking path to the beach. The walk to the beach does take a short time, usually 4 minutes, sometimes less than 4 minutes walking time. It is also possible to drive in 1 minute driving time to the beach carpark. The villa is very close to the beach.

Amazing adventure

Absolutely magical

The property is breathtakingly beautiful, with a lot of history and an amazing garden with stunning views especially with the sun set in the evening. Maria was very Kind and helpful through the whole booking process and the welcome was very nice and pleasant. We were there with 15 friends and I can highly recommend this place for a group of this size.

The Most Relaxing, Tranquil, Scenic Vacation

The historic villa sits a hundred feet or so atop the cliffs overlooking Lake Garda and the surrounding mountains and is framed by the lovely flowers, plants & trees. My wife & I stayed in the bedroom on the top floor so that we went to bed each night & woke up each morning to the breath taking views of the lake. There are 44 marble steps that lead to the top floor but well worth the effort. We hired Maria Laura's recommended cook, Carmen, to make our dinner for our first night, but her cooking was so amazing that we asked her cook for us every night of the week (we HIGHLY recommend her). We were so relaxed with the house, the surroundings, spectacular scenery and Carmen's meals that we didn't leave the villa for the first 4 days that we were there. We are currently planning our return visit.!

Dear Mike, thank you! We really loved having you and Debbie as our guests! I am pleased you liked the grand 1900s marble staircase. The guests who sleep on the second floor are always in better shape than those who have their bedrooms downstairs, because they work out on the 44 steps to burn the calories of the italian delicious food! :-) The bedrooms on the second floor are only 2, so the people sleeping in the other 7 bedrooms only have a few steps to get there! Stunning villa and views of Lake Garda

Words cannot describe how much our family of 15 enjoyed our week at this beautiful villa on amazing Lake Garda. Maria Laura was such a wonderful host. The villa designed and built by her grandfather was amazing and so much better than the pictures portrayed. The view of Lake Garda was incredible especially the sunsets. We really enjoyed visiting several towns on Garda , daytripped to hike in the Dolomites, day trip to Venice , and Padua and even got tickets for outdoor opera in Verona. We enjoyed the beautiful villa and the kitchen had been redone and was great. The only challenge for us were only 4 bathrooms for 15 adults but it worked. We also had a little trouble walking down to the beach on the lake. Maria Laura was the perfect host and even mailed some books we left behind to us. We will cherish our memories of this wonderful place all our lives. Thank you ML

Dear Houston thank you and your family for this 5 star review and for being wonderful guests! Information for future guests: the shortcut path to the beach is only 3 minute walk but it is very stony so we recommend using trainers, sneakers or hiking shoes, not flip flops. Alternatively people in flipflops can use a longer path that is not stony, or drive to the beach carpark (2 minute drive). Here is the layout of our 5 bathrooms: 1. Toilet and sink (ground floor) 2. Toilet, sink and bidet (first floor) 3. Shower, bath and sink (first floor) 4. Toilet, sink, bidet and shower 5. Toilet, sink, bidet, shower and bath. Our property is five times (!) less expensive than other house rentals with more bathrooms in the same area

A memorable family reunion in a beautiful villa

The villa was just as advertised by Maria Laura but the photos did not do the views or the location justice. Up a winding driveway the villa is situated far away from traffic noise and crowds with glorious views of the lake. Mornings and evenings were spent leisurely dining on the patio, the children playing in the grounds or in the pool, with the breathtaking backdrop of Lake Garda. In August the daytime temperatures were very warm but the cool evenings were a delight. The numerous rooms and passages were a haven for the children to explore in the villa, and they were also fortunate to be able to share in the fresh figs from the trees which just happened to be ripe. Every day was filled with a new adventure in surrounding villages and towns, each with its own special character, food and wine. Venice was one major day trip which was filled with suprises and photo opportunities at every turn. Alas, we were not able to see as many sights as planned. We were however very happy to potter around and relax by the lake, and to take in the local ambiance. More to look forward to for our next visit which we will certainly do. Maria Laura made sure that our stay went according to plan and was in communication throughout our visit to make sure we had what we needed. The whole transaction and organization of the visit was smooth and without any issues at all. If you are looking for a very authentic Italian experience, in a rustic location, surrounded by scenic vistas and lots of history, this unique location is for you.

Wir waren einfach nur begeistert!!!! Wir kamen mit 3 Familien (6 Erwachsene & 8 Kinder im Alter von 2-11 Jahren).Die Aussicht ist wirklich atemberaubend, das Haus ist groß und man hat viel Platz.Die Badezimmeraufteilung im Haus war für unsere Konstellation nicht ganz perfekt, aber wir haben es trotzdem gut hinbekommen.Für Familien mit kleinen Kindern ist der Pool nicht ganz ideal, weil er frei zugänglich ist und man von drinnen keinen Blick darauf hat.Die Gastgeberin, Mary hat einfach alles dafür getan, dass wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben und war mehr als hilfsbereit. Als Beispiel hatte ich ihr an einem Abend um 11 Uhr nachts geschrieben, dass wir die Außenbeleuchtung nicht finden und sie hat direkt geantwortet. Ein anderes Mal haben wir die Eierbecher & einen Toaster in der Küche gesucht und sie hat direkt am nächsten Tag einen Toaster, Mini-Backofen & Eierbecher vorbeigebracht. Sie war wirklich non-stopp und rund um die Uhr für uns da.Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Amazing vacation

San Vigilio is the best location and the best beach on Lake Garda, so clean and refreshing! The house is the largest we have ever stayed in (and the garden was massive too!), with top quality luxury airconditioning and wifi. The pool is perfect and clean. They can get you a chef and food delivery for very reasonable prices on request. Food and wine are spectacular BTW. The owners are professional tour guides who will go out of her way to make you feel home and organize the days out / sightseeing. Don't forget Gardaland Disney Park if you have kids, it's only a couple of minutes drive from the property. Rental rates much lower than the other luxury villas on the same beach, as it is a family owned kind of business, and they seem to be very eager to make you want to come back the following summer (which we'll certainly do by the way). You can't go wrong with this imho

Wir verbrachten wunderschöne Tage mit 13 Personen in der weitläufigen Villa.

Die Villa ist so großzügig geschnitten, dass jeder ausreichend Freiraum hat und was uns aber viel wichtiger ist, so große Tische, dass alle zusammen bequem Essen können. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Kinderbetten und Hochstühle sind vorhanden Der Garten mit dem Pool ist einfach nur traumhaft. Die Villa lebt von dieser einzigartigen Lage. Wir hätten uns allerdings gewünscht, dass die Müllentsorgung bei diesem Preis inbegriffen ist.

I am sorry to have disappointed you with the rubbish delivery rates. Our guests have the option of bringing their rubbish bags to the rubbish bins themselves (free of charge), or pay our cleaners a tip to deal with the rubbish delivery instead of doing it themselves. This rule is written in the rental agreement. We would love to welcome you again for a second holiday and offer you a good discount on the rental rate to compensate for your disappointment about the rubbish fee, and to award your loyalty. Very good

We were a bit scared of how the villa itself would be, due to he lack of pictures. But the inside is very nice. The view is indeed stunning as is the entire setting of the villa. The hostess is extremely friendly and helpfull if you got questions! Would recommend this place to every one its well worth its price! Gunther & friends.

Dear Joerg, thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are a little disappointed that you rated our property only 3 stars, but we are happy that all the other reviews we got in twenty years of holiday rentals are 4 and 5 stars. Mostly 5 stars actually. We are proud of owning a listed building (a national monument listed in the italian monument survey) and we are sorry you did not enjoy it as much as all the other groups. UPDATE 2023: our interiors have been renovated. We have also enlarged the kitchen, its size is now 4 times as much as before! We hope to welcome you again to show you the renovated interiors!

My grandfather was a very talented engineer and renovating architect. He built this villa for his family (my family, lucky me!). He also built several villas on Lake Garda (villa Cometti, villa Tempesta, villa Tremosine and many others) and palazzos in Verona and in Venice. He renovated the frescoes and stuccoes of many old palladian villas in Venice and he was the renovation directing architect of some medieval churches (the belltower of the Cathedral in Verona, the medieval Church in Torbe etc)

1. It was passed down through the generations of our family, a home with history, tradition, character is a lovely heritage. We feel very lucky to share this privilege with people from all over the world by letting it to them.

2. It is only few minute walk from the most beautiful beach of Lake Garda and from San Vigilio (a famous romantic little hamlet).......................................





3. The view from the villa, from the garden and from the refreshing pool is the best we have ever seen anywhere!

4. The villa and the garden are so big, plenty of space for everybody..............................................................





5. 10 minute drive from the villa: winetasting 'cantine', the monday morning and friday street market, the ferry harbour.

6. Lake Garda is the biggest Lake in Italy, there are so many villages and sightseeing to do, we have holidayed here forever, yet we still find something interesting to see or do every summer

7. The ferry ride around the lake with local ferries..............





8. Half an hour drive from Verona, we love the opera in the Arena, Juliet's balcony, the lovely small city centre and its colourful houses, the market of Piazza much more

9. Easyjet airport of Verona Villafranca is only 30 minutes drive away from the villa, and Venice and Bergamo are also a short drive from the villa....................................................





10. We love our team of cleaners, we find the villa clean and tidy all the time, they are really professional

4. The marble fireplaces in the living room, they are great for a lovely log fire in a rainy day, they are also great for barbecues!!!
Mind you: rainy days on Lake Garda are very rare. We also love the marble bathroom on the top floor, made with marmo rosso di Verona.......................................................



5. We love our dinner parties in the dining room in the villa, our new twin tables can sit up to 15 guests, plenty of space, yet nice and cosy............................................................

7. Our beloved 'kitchen courtyard': scented jasmin in the summer and colourful camellias in the early spring, plenty of figs to eat in late summer... we love 'cooking with a with a scent!'.....................................................................

9. The garden is immersed in a Nature Park Reserve, so we are literally surroundered by nature! There is a great network of hiking and cycling paths in the nature reserve on our doorstep
