Little Tuscan Olive Farm - Cosy Apartment

The self-contained apartment is set within the converted ground floor of our 400 year old olive farm. The opportunity to enjoy a lovely rural retreat with aspects of woodland, olive grove or for the artist in you (easel available) vistas of other hillside villages. A very popular area for cyclists yet within 15-25 minutes walk to the local hilltop village and also 3 wonderful local restaurants/bars.
The farm is accessed by electric gates (a key fob provided following check-in) to offer more secure parking. Being situated in the hills we do have steps down from the parking area and on down to the apartment so we appreciate this may not be suitable for everyone. We are of course happy to help with luggage or shopping when we are on site.
Touring through Italy? We are situated around 40 minutes by car from Lucca an hour from Pisa, Florence, the coast at Viareggio and for skiing in Abetone about 80 scenic minutes. The local town of Pescia is around 20 minutes by car, limited bus service is also available, and gives access to the train for links all over Italy. Pescia has two weekly markets and a great host of bars, coffee shops, restaurants and gelaterias.
Our guests enjoy the use of their own private sun terrace with loungers. They are also more than welcome to walk within the olive groves and when in season to take advantage of any available fresh fruits and herbs within the gardens.

A peaceful and green place for your soul

We had a wonderful time in Castelvecchio. Kathy and Paul are heartwarming, interesting and very nice persons. They make a fantastic olive oil!! The apartment is beautiful, tasteful and everything you need is there. The sunny terrace is perfect for eating, relaxing, reading and looking to the green hills with the typical tuscan villages on top. Round Castelvecchio is a lot to visit and very good restaurants. Dear Kathy and Paul, thank you for that week!

Amazing hospitality, great house, great location

Amazing hospitality!! We were received with open arms (and a welcome-basket full of food!!) . The house has everything you need. It has a very spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed. Nice patio with an outdoor shower. The nearby restaurants are very nice and walking distance. All in all we had a lovely time!

Paradise on earth

The house is very clean, beautiful located, has all the things you need and looks like a paradise on earth. It also has a lot of privacy, it feels like you’re the only one there. The hosts are the kindest people and can tell you a lot about the surroundings. We enjoyed the quietness, de cold outside shower (and perfect inside shower), the fireplace and the bbq. Also, the bed is veeeery good! Long story short; everything was there. If you’re looking for a beautiful, calm and natural place you should definitely book this accommodation. Thank you Kathy and Paul for this amazing experience.

Gastvrijheid en perfectie!

Supervriendelijke eigenaars die zeer dienstbaar zijn. Hoewel ze op het domein wonen, lijk je er wel alleen te verblijven. Er stond een welkomstpakket klaar zodat we niet onmiddellijk naar de winkel moesten. Alles aan het verblijf is oerdegelijk en verzorgd. Zeer mooi gelegen maar de wegen er naar toe zijn zeer smal. Winkels nogal ver weg, 3 goede restaurants echter in de buurt. Een aanrader voor wie die kant van Toscane wil verkennen!

Little Paradise in Tuscany

We had a great time staying with hosts who went out of their way to make sure that we had the most comfortable and interesting stay. The little olive farm is situated in the middle of lush forests, mountain streams, and fortified medieval villages. We had great hikes, saw more wild animals than we could count and enjoyed the quietness, but also the great food of the surrounding restaurants. Already looking forward to coming back soon!

Eine kleine, kuschelige und liebevoll eingerichtete Unterkunft, die von einem jederzeit herzlichen Paar vermietet wird. Ein Highlight ist ohne Frage die Terrasse mit tollem Ausblick und Privatsphäre. Ich würde mich jederzeit wieder dort einmieten, wenn ich noch einmal in die Toskana fahre. Ein Geheimtipp. Danke für die wundervolle Zeit.

Fabulous apartment, perfect location, fantastic hosts. You’ll want to return next year!

We spent the last four days of our holiday here and were delighted to discover a real gem. Kathy and Paul made us so welcome and supplied a really generous hamper which meant we could have a long lazy breakfast on our first morning, sitting on the wonderful private terrace looking at the mountains and listening to birdsong. Heaven. The apartment is beautifully finished with quality furnishings (the most comfortable bed we had in Italy!), excellent kitchen equipment and a really good shower in the stylish bathroom. Outside were two very comfortable loungers, table and chairs, bbq, and herbs and salad to pick. They’ve really thought of everything here! The olive trees were fantastic and the woodland with its stream was a good place to explore (listen out for the wild boar snuffling around at night on the other side of the fence!). Everything is so well kept. Kathy and Paul were really friendly and on hand should we have needed anything but they took great care to ensure we had our own space and privacy. Having moved here a few years ago they were very knowledgable about attractions, locally and further afield, and kindly made a reservation for us at an excellent local restaurant. The local town has two very good supermarkets and all the necessary shops that you’d need. We enjoyed Lucca, about 40 mins drive away, with its many traffic free squares and side streets and interesting shops and restaurants. A walk or cycle round the amazing ramparts is a must. A great base to explore this part of Tuscany, and equally easy to just stop, unwind and read whilst stretched out in the sunshine. Thank you Kathy and Paul - we’ll definitely see you again next year. Beautiful and quiet spot in scenic setting with the most amazing hosts

The apartment is cosy and comfortable for two people, located on an olive farm, just 15 minutes out of Pescia. It offers you everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Paul and Kathy are the best hosts one can have, willing to go the extra mile for their guests. We will definitely come back!
