About Debbie Gioquindo

I've been coming down here since the late 1980's when I met my husband staying at his parents home not to far from this home. My kids grew up coming down here every summer.

Now we live here year round. Moved here from the Hudson Valley region of New York in 2013. I am a wine blogger and educator known as The Hudson Valley Wine Goddess. So I can give you some good wine suggestions.

I love it down here. There's nothing like the beach and this area there is so much to do and see. My kids grew up coming down here, so we've done everything from the adult thing to the kid thing to the local thing.

Debbie Gioquindo purchased this house in 2016

Why Debbie Gioquindo chose Southern Shore Region

One of the most important considerations for us was that the house we purchase had to be within one block from the bay. There is nothing like walking down to the bay to kayak, paddle board and then later in the day with a glass of wine to watch the sunset. We've made Cape May our home, we want you to make it your home for a week.

What makes this house unique

Just steps from the bay beach. This home was built in 2008 and was barely lived in.

As of February 2016 we are in the process of giving it a fresh coat of paint and will be furnishing it and posting photos of the progress as we go along. The property will be ready May 7th for weekly rentals.

Lovely home in a lovely area

  • 5 of 5

There was nothing we did not fall in love with at this house. The house was very cute and well set up for renters. The walk to the beach was great and the ocean there was also great. Thanks for the wine, we took that to a BYOB restaurant in cape may one evening. I would recommend to anyone who is considering, you will not regret it.

We needed some time to be away and 26 Folsom was the perfect place for us.

The bay beach was right down the end of the street. Such a sweet eclectic community where we felt so comfortable (for us from 33 years old to 97 years old). Even our dog Duke, loved the yard and the squirrel walks. So sorry we were only able to be there from Sat - Wed. Next year we'll plan ahead.

Great Place...Well Equipped

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay...starting with our pre-vacation communication with Debbie (home owner). She was informative, friendly, flexible and incredibly responsive (via both e-mail and text messaging) to all our questions and concerns then...and continued those qualities throughout the visit. Just a simple question " Where is the iron?" brought a new iron and ironing board left at our door the following morning.

The home is well situated to the very sparsely populated bay beach and viewing beautiful sunsets each night. It was both close enough...and far enough...from Cape May City and ocean beach area to be close to...and away from...tourist activity as the mood suits you. Incredibly well equipped kitchen...including a pantry full of spices! Comfortable bedrooms with a great shower in the master bedroom's bathroom. Terrific closet and drawer space in each bedroom. Four awesome recliners (seating 6 overall) in the living room on which to watch a great 55" HD TV. Good size backyard with and outdoor shower, a Weber Grill, seating for 6-8 The only negative would be the condition of the 6 bicycles in the backyard. Would view several as unsafe. However, would absolutely not hesitate to go back for a return visit.
