High Seas is a spacious, hilltop 2 king size bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage with wonderful views over the blue Atlantic waters. Whether sitting on the deck or inside the house you have a view of the water. Make a coffee and watch the sunrise from the deck or lounging on the sofas inside the great room.

The large, open-plan living area is airy and cool thanks to its high ceilings and many windows. There is AC in the living area and both bedrooms as well as ceiling fans. Solar power with battery back up so no problems with any power outages. Enjoy your meals on the 400 square foot wrap-around deck with two sets of French doors opening onto the deck. With the cool sea breezes, you can watch the waves breaking at James Point, fishing boats from Harbour Island, or a cruise ship sailing past.

The kitchen has luxury appliances, and a central island/breakfast bar for you to prepare your meals and socialize. The master bedroom has a king size bed and stunning sea views. It leads into a large spa-like ensuite bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower. The guest bedroom also has a king size bed. The caribbean-style guest bathroom, accessible from the great room, has a bathtub with a stand up shower.

Wireless high speed internet (Starlink) has been installed, and is available for your use. There is a 32" Smart TV as well as Apple TV and a DVD player.

There are two single person kayaks located at Rainbow Bay Beach for easy access, four beach chairs, snorkeling gear, inflatables, noodles, boogie boards, beach towels and a large cooler (ice packs in the freezer) available for your use.

My fantastic housekeeper lives in Rainbow Bay and is available for any questions that arise during your stay. She also has a vehicle rental business and you definitely need a vehicle to explore Eleuthera and to get down some of the beach roads. I will happily arrange vehicle rental for you with pick up from any airport you arrive into.

'High Seas' is located on a very quiet road, with unobstructed views across native vegetation to the sea. At night, the only sound you will hear is the breaking of the waves on the shore, approximately 400 yards away. Look up and see the stars!

The cottage comes with bedding, towels, beach towels and a washing machine. You can dry clothes outside on the washing line. Dries super fast with great weather.

The property is situated in beautiful Rainbow Bay which is a perfect mid way point on the island so you can head North or South and easily explore. Rainbow Bay is a quiet beach community with a particularly lovely beach on the Caribbean side with palapas and kayaks as well as a very popular restaurant, The Rainbow Inn; it takes 4 minutes to walk to the inn restaurant from High Seas.

I have a copy of The Beach Book at the house. This will help you discover all the beaches although it will take a few vacations to see all of them!

This was my lifelong dream vacation spot. Jackie has a beautiful home in a great location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean side of the island. Her home is everything as described online. The bed was so comfortable. Very well kept and clean. Nice large kitchen with updated appliances. Jackie responded quickly for any questions.This offers the comforts of home and privacy. Sunrises and sunsets are the best from the balcony and dining room table. Enjoy yourself future guests. If I could give 20 stars I would.

My wife and I loved our stay at High Seas. The property is exactly as described, but I want to emphasize how peaceful it is—perfectly safe and serene, with only the sound of waves (and frogs!) in the background. Even during the strong winds from Hurricane Erin passing not too far from the Bahamas, the house remained completely quiet with all windows closed. Communication with Jackie was smooth and effortless; he accommodated all our requests and provided plenty of helpful tips for exploring Eleuthera. Starlink worked perfectly, too. We definitely recommend this property.

Trip to middle island Eleuthera

We enjoyed our time at High Seas. The house is just as described and the help assistance from Jackie and her local contact Laura made our time there as easy as possible. Rainbow Bay beach is minutes away with an amazing beach and in our experience one of the best beaches on the island. Don’t miss dinner at the “Front Porch” the food and hospitality are excellent.

Our stay here was great. The host gives you so much inside information about the island, the beaches, local restaurants and businesses, etc. It felt like having a personal guide to Eleuthera. The home is comfortable and has lots of amenities like beach chairs, snorkels and masks, and an umbrella you can use which makes the beach experiences even better.

Our stay at High Seas was nothing short of spectacular! The house itself had everything we needed and was in a beautiful and secluded area but super close to Rainbow Bay. The house was just as pictured…open and so bright and the view of the ocean was beautiful! Just as important was the communication we had with Jackie. She was responsive and so nice and provided us with great information about the house, the area and the island. 10/10..highly highly recommend !!!

This house was in the perfect location for exploring both the north and south sides of the island. The road to it was clear and in good shape, which is not always the case. Everything was clean and comfy, and the house had everything we needed for a successful trip!

Beautiful Bahamian feel

Spacious and well decorated! with all the basic necessities & more (the beach chairs and cooler came in real handy).The guide with its instructions and so much information on the island as well as the guest book helped us in making choices of what to do and see during our stay. We also appreciated the comfortable king bed and the huge balcony with ocean view! All at a very reasonable price which helps as the island is expensive!

We had a wonderful week at High Seas. The location in Rainbow Bay was super, it is so near the lovely beach there. The cottage was secluded, comfortable and well-equipped with lots of towels, games, Netflix, and a nice large fridge.

High Seas was everything we hoped for and more! Peacefil and great location to explore the island

Well equipped lovely cottage, high on a hill to catch the breeze. Great to have use of beach chairs, cooler and ice packs, and the kayaks at Rainbow Bay. Awesome communication from Jackie and Laura was super helpful with the rental car . Comprehensive list of restaurants, beaches, grocery stores etc was most appreciated. Really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Highseas.

I am British and have lived in Los Angeles for the past 26 years, but dream of retiring in Eleuthera one day. Until then, I am happy to share my piece of paradise with you.
