This gorgeous home is located near Burt and Mullet Lakes just minutes off Exit 310 near the town of Indian River and just 5 minutes away from Burt Lake State Park, the Sturgeon River and the Indian River. Petoskey, Harbor Springs and Cheboygan are close by and Mackinaw City is less than 30 minutes away. This large home in nestled in the woods on 20 private acres that back up to State Land with easy access to the State Trail system for snowmobiling and four-wheeling right from the property.

Indian River is part of the famous Inland Waterway - Michigan's longest chain of rivers and lakes with over 40 miles running from Crooked Lake to Lake Huron. Many marinas are 5 minutes away that rent boats and boat slips. This is the perfect area for beach going, boating and fishing. If an afternoon of shopping and lunch are more your thing, Petoskey and Harbor Springs are just a short scenic drive away. The 20 acre property has trails for hiking and you may even see deer, wild turkeys, lots of birds and other animals.

The interior of this beautifully decorated home is over 3,300 square feet and has 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, washer & dryer, 2 sitting rooms with natural stone fireplaces, large porch and a gourmet kitchen with 2 ovens, granite counters and a large custom log island. The home comfortably sleeps 8-10 adults or multiple families with children.

Such a beautiful and wonderful vacation home. You feel the warmth of the owners as soon as you walk in the door. The kitchen was large and FULLY stocked with everything you need. The living room is set up for family time on comfortable couches and chairs. The house has two living room for space to spread out. You will love this home and you won’t want to leave.

Gorgeous and cozy house spacious for our group of 8. Fully equiped for everything we needed during our 3 night stay, including decent toilet paper, which is rare! Lots of nice bathroom products and laundry / kitchen supplies. This was our favorite house yet. Husband wanted to make an offer on it and we had to drag him out of there to leave! We'll be back!

Quiet and generous accommodation

We loved the peace and quiet and large roomy spaces for our large family. It was close enough for a short drive to many local attractions like Mackinac Island, Petoskey, etc. Hosts were very accomodating and the house was stocked with everythingwe needed. It was like staying at the home of a close friend.

This was a beautiful home. We came up for a fishing trip with our boats. Tons of room for parking and we love that there was a dumpster for disposal. We also loved all the other great things this home has to offer. Will definitely be looking to stay here again!

Beautiful Cabin In The Woods

This is a very nice, comfortable cabin (home), and it is very clean. There's plenty of room for family and friends. Best part for me though...the water, for showers and cooking is great, and that isn't easy in some remote areas up north. Thank you for a great weekend.

Stay in the woods!

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. It was very roomy and had everything we needed for all 9 of us. The location is wonderful for visiting Mackinac Island and the surrounding areas. The only thing that would be nice is if the 2 bedrooms upstairs had AC like the rest of the house. Though they do provide plenty of fans.
