Very clean, nice, comfortable...better than expected!
We LOVED this house. It was at a great location from the day trips we took to other tourist areas. House felt more like home, kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were nice. Overall it was a great experience. Vivio's was a very neat place to visit to eat. Pizza was great but the atmosphere/decor was amazing. Thank you for a great trip!
Cabin in northern Michigan
The cabin was very well equipped with everything needed and was decorated beautifully.
My family rented this home to attend a wedding on Burt Lake. It was larger than expected and had everything you would need. There are two large separate sitting areas and plenty of seating for dining. The beds are comfortable and the area is so quiet. The house was very clean as well. Bike trails are nearby and there is a great Italian Restaurant, Vivio's just a couple of miles down the road. We hope to return to the area some day and would love to stay here again!
Ideal location for our family reunion in Indian River. We had 5 adults and 4 kids and it was perfect. Very spacious and just 5 minutes from the State Park and Indian River. We really enjoyed the fantastic back yard for roasting s'mores. Should we come back to Burt Lake, I would rent again. Thanks for sharing your home
Walking into this magnificent woodland home put all my cares to rest. I had spent months planning the "perfect" family vacation and seeing this lovely lodge made me think, "Maybe perfect isn't such a far-fetched reach!" Even our one rainy day was so cozy, comfortable, and cheery because we had so much space to play games, watch movies, and share treasured family memories.
This lodge has everything you need! So well stocked with paper products, soap and shampoo, bug spray, laundry detergent -- if you need it, they've already thought of it and filled the shelves with it. Lots of sheets for the big and comfy beds (my granddaughter LOVED the loft bed!) and soft towels make life happy all around. The kitchen -- I wish I had such an array of spices at home! Two ovens with plenty of pots, pans, bakeware, plates, cups, silverware, knives, spatulas -- everything! (Plus the convenience of Ken's Village Market just 5 minutes away and Vivio's GREATEST PIZZA IN. THE. WORLD. is even closer -- just in case cooking and baking isn't in your vacation plan! ☺️)
There's a nice variety of games to play, puzzles to do, a beautiful, large telescope in the upstairs loft, a great backyard for tossing a ball, an interesting trail through the woods right off the yard, and a sweet front porch for relaxing. The location is great for day trips to the Upper Peninsula, Sleeping Bear Dunes, charming Petoskey and Charlevoix, and, of course, The Mighty Mac and Mackinac Island. But, there are also so many things to do in Burt Lake! We ended our days wishing we had more, and hoping for a return visit to this beautiful lodge!
A wonderful, charming house in a quiet, serene setting.
We had a perfect weekend with our three families. The house is very clean and well equipped. Julie is quick to respond to any messages. The kids enjoyed playing outside and we all enjoyed playing games and relaxing on the front porch. We also enjoyed hiking on the lovely trails in the woods. We had fun in town and made the half hour drive north to spend a day on Mackinac Island. We loved staying here and would definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway!
Perfectly located between Petoskey and Cheboygan. Short distance to Mackinaw City, Gaylord, Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Just a few minutes from Indian River at Exit 310 off I-75. Close to Burt Lake, Mullet Lake and the Indian River which are part of the Inland Waterway which runs from Crooked Lake to Lake Huron.
