About Diane Caughlin

I've been blessed to live and work in such a beautiful and friendly town. I first came to Garden Valley in 1980 as the first woman firefighter on the Garden Valley Helitack Crew, the following year I ventured to California to work on the Arrowhead Hotshot Crew where I met my husband Joe. In 1994, after Joe got out of the Army, we returned to Garden Valley with our 2 young sons. Both of our sons grew up here and graduated from Garden Valley High School and are also Wildland Fire Fighters. I own and operate Garden Valley Properties, and Uncle Billy Bob's Vacation Rentals and I am currently serving as the President again, of the Garden Valley Chamber of Commerce. Joe is currently serving our country once again in Afghanistan.

Diane Caughlin purchased this recreational vehicle in 2015

Why Diane Caughlin chose Crouch

The most affordable get a way you can ask for! For only $99.90 + tax and cleaning fee, you can have a two night stay in the Mountains by yourself or with your sweetie, or a friend, or whatever! It's a great place for people to have fun, relax and participate in all the recreational opportunities, and we're only 1 hour from Boise.

What makes this recreational vehicle unique

Crouch is a very small community with in Garden Valley, you feel relaxed just walking around our scenic little village. Across the street and river (from the Glamper) is the community park with nice beach access to the Middlefork of the Payette River. If you're an early riser, you can walk across the Middlefork Rd. and grab a latte or goodies from Wild Bill's Coffee Shop & Bistro, or the "Spot" located in the old Crouch Merc or you can stroll down to the Garden Valley Market. On Saturday's in the summer, we have an open air market between the radio station and the Market parking lot from 9-1. It's a good chance to check out the fresh produce and homemade goodies or visit one of the many shops around town.

On the 4th of July, you'll have ring side seating for all the activities including fireworks and parade. If you've ever been to Crouch for the 4th of July, you know it's quite memorable!

Fun Getaway

  • 5 of 5

I was so pleasantly surprised at this cute 5th wheel. I have never stayed in a trailer, so was unsure of what to expect. It was so tidy and well stocked that we really just had to unpack and get on with the weekend. We are already trying to figure out our next available weekend to get up for another stay. I would strongly recommend this to anyone.

Our stay was great, loved how its decorated, plenty of firewood. the trailer came with all the plates and cookware. of course we brought to much, not knowing what to expect. . Next time we will know that all we need is our clothes and food.

The property definately gave you the feeling of camping, but in a very clean and neat appearance.

  • 5 of 5

We were pleasantly, actually very surprised, when we opened the door of the RV and stepped inside. It was super clean, appealing and all the little touches just gave it a very comfortable and homey feeling away from home. We watched one of the DVD's and laughed all the way through it. Diane has thought of everything a person would need to have for cooking away from home. The mattress was heavenly and it cooled down at night with windows open and it was wonderful. We went to the Starlight Theater enjoyed a wonderful out door play and then drove just a short distance back to the RV to hit the hay. We enjoyed all the Glamping ideas in the Glamping book left for reading. We needed a get away, and we received just that. Enjoyed walking through town and eating in town as well. We will be back! Already planning our next trip there in the spring. Thanks so much for all the fun humor!

Cute and fun!

  • 5 of 5

Staying at Bubba's Glamper was a lot of fun. Keep in mind, you are staying in a parked camping trailer, so expect tight quarters and low ceilings, especially in the bed loft. It was great for what we wanted.

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed your stay! Yep, it's is a little tight, but it's kind of nice with the new snow roof outside, so you can sit in the shade and take in the views!

Uncle Billy Bob's was AMAZING !!

  • 5 of 5

First of all, working with Diane is just about the best thing when planning a vacation! She is accommodating, extremely nice and funny, and very willing to do what she can to enable a great experience.

Secondly, these rentals are so cool! Very true to their roots with decor, which is very entertaining! Unlike their Redneck roots, everything is super clean and nice! :) Each room is very cozy.

Also the location can't get any better!! The rentals we used are right downtown Crouch with easy access and walking distance to all the necessities. This is the perfect place to base out of in the Garden Valley .

Cant wait to come back !!!

The "Glamper" is only available March-October because it's a pain in the back side to winterize and keep pipes from not freezing!

I'm running a week day special. Rent Sun-Thursday nights, 2 night minimum, and pay only $50 bucks for the rent, + cleaning fee and tax, comes out to about $69 bucks. There is a refundable damage deposit of $100, but you get that back right after your stay as long as you left it the way your found it. This offer cannot be combined with any discounts, sorry.

Can't apply the active duty discount to Bubba's sorry, or I'd be paying you!

100% refund less 10% we have to pay for VRBO credit card charges, if cancelled more than 30 days prior to your stay.
