Spring Break

Delightful property with an abundance of gadgets ~ air fryer, coffee maker, tumble dryer, to name but a few. Also an amazing welcome hamper, which lasted us all week! We had come for a family celebration in Frinton and decided to stay for the week. We were not disappointed. The only downside was.that when ever you left the property, you had to reverse, about 100yards , out of the parking space to get to the road that led out of the estate . Would definitely come again.

When it says “ Sea View” it means it . Clear view of the bay all the way to the Port of Felixstowe. Very close ( 100 metres) to the beach but on a quiet campus away from the noisy seaside “ attractions “. It is the old Sanitorium to the now closed Felixstowe College. As such the doors and corridors are wide and the rooms spacious. Each room has a door onto the private patio. The rest of the campus seems to be posh flats . We weren’t disturbed at all and the natives seemed friendly. Dad is 92 with some mobility issues and he very much enjoyed the space in the property where he could use his walker . Currently the shower is over the bath but the owner , who came to greet us and show us around said that there are plans for a walk in shower. Using dads scooter we went all the way to the viewing point at Felixstowe docks without going on the road . We also made it to Old Felixstowe and the Ferry which requires a short diversion in land and might be considered a journey for the more adventurous scooter rider . We booked immediately for next year . I think that says it all!

So peaceful

This is a house with real character- we loved being here; in fact it took us a few days to explore the area just because we were all content hanging out here. I loved the upstairs room; great views and could watch the wildlife and boats. Looking forward to seeing what the refurbished version looks like but it very quickly felt like home to us. If you’re looking for peace and quiet and a cosy nest to base yourself in - this is the place for you.

Another Stay.

Just a two night stay, this time, but the caravan was perfect, as when we have stayed here previously. Spacious, clean, well equipped and in convenient location, on site. Nothing to fault, bar fact that after heavy rain, surrounding ground becomes very water logged and muddy! Wellies or shoe wipes advised!
