Spacious lake front home with large boat house partially covered for shade and a rare sandy beach. This west-facing property on the popular Hamlin Cove is a fantastic newer home on the Littleton side of Lake Gaston. Our home welcomes you with a warm and spacious living area that is perfect for accommodating large families/groups in a fantastic lakefront location. The beautifully decorated house has a well appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances, lakeside eating area, dining room and office/lounge, comfortable furnishings throughout and a screened porch with lots of great views of one of the most popular wakeboard/skiing coves on the lake! Lakeside amenities include boathouse TV and fire table, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and new outdoor shower. Whether playing corn hole in the backyard, relaxing on the pier, swimming in the lake, playing on the beach, playing pool in the game room, or simply enjoying the lake views from the house, a good time will be had by all!
This beautiful lake home will be the perfect summer get-away for your family and friends; a place to enjoy the beautiful lake, have a great time and create life-long memories!

The maximum number of guests is limited to 13 adults + 6 children, if the children are under age of 15. For adults and children age 15 and above, the maximum number of guests is 17 total.

Bedroom #1 -- Large, main level master bedroom has king size bed and features gorgeous unobstructed lake views as well as direct access to lakeside deck and Satellite 27' LCD HDTV. Private en-suite bath has double sinks and stand-up shower with rainfall shower head.
Bedroom #2 -- Queen bedroom on main level with lake views has a private walkout balcony boasting 2 rocking chairs and access to screened porch. Full bathroom in hall with new walk-in shower. (Shared with bedroom #3)
Bedroom#3 -- Queen bedroom on main level on front side of house. Full bathroom in hall adjacent to bedroom (shared with Bedroom #2).
Bedroom #4 -- King bedroom on walkout basement level features large lakeside window and spacious closet. Full bathroom in hall adjacent to bedroom. (shared with bedrooms #5 and #6)
Bedroom #5 -- (2)Queen beds on walkout basement level. Carpeted. No windows, best room in the house for sleeping!
Bedroom #6 -- Walkout basement level. Two full size beds and a twin bunk bed in this spacious lakeside bedroom with Satellite TV. Room has French doors that lead directly to the lake.
Office/Other room - Located on main level off the foyer. This room contains a small writing desk as well as a day bed with a twin mattress.
Game room -- Large open game room on lower level boasts a large LCD HDTV, pool table, plenty of comfortable seating as well as 2 sets of french doors with views of the lake! Additional room off of central area includes air hockey and a table for playing board games which can be found in the cabinet.

Wonderful lake vacation!

Our family had an amazing week at Lake Gaston! The house was a perfect size for 8 adults, 5 kids and beautifully decorated. We spent most of our time swimming in the lake and hanging out on the dock. The kids loved the sandy beach area and we all enjoyed renting a boat for a few days. Overall, it was an excellent vacation and the hosts were fantastic and super responsive.

Perfect Getaway

This house had everything we needed and more! Plenty of beach chairs, beach toys for the kids, an extra refrigerator in garage. The grandchildren and adults played in the water for hours and enjoyed all the seating at the dock. Already looking forward to next year!

Beautiful Vacation Home

We were so happy with our week at Severance Heaven and Lake Gaston. This home was absolutely perfect. We had my family of 11. The downstairs was perfect and we really enjoyed the game area they have created. My dad was very excited to play pool again. Lots of space throughout the house so no matter your family size, you will never feel cramped. We absolutely loved ALL the seating options to relax, read a book or just talk and enjoy some coffee. The yard was perfect for the kids to play yard games. The very large dock is amazing! Large enough for some of us to sit in the shade and some of us would lay out to soak up the sun. Plenty of space to dock our boat rental. We enjoyed the paddle boards daily! Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cookware, bakeware and utensil items. The location of this beautiful home on the water was perfect. There was not a lot of boat traffic which made it nice! We cannot wait to get our family back together again because this was the perfect spot! :)

Great Week at the Lake

We had family of all ages that came from multiple different areas. The house was great for everyone's needs. The house has a great view with an awesome sandy beach / shallow water for the kids to plan in. Adults were able to relax on the dock without all the fears of having to managing the young kids being on the dock. We highly recommend staying at Dave and Lori's house. We hope to come back to the house in the future.

Excellent location and well kept property.

This Lake House is perfectly situated in a tributary to Lake Gaston. It has a great view, wonderful dock, and nice sandy beach. When my family returns to Lake Gaston this is the first property we will try to book. It was obvious that Dave and Lori work hard to make sure there property is in excellent shape for their guests. The house was very clean and neat with everything working properly.

The kids loved the sandy beach and being able to run into the lake. Fishing was good also. One person in our group had a working vacation and the office space was perfect and the internet was fast. A larger table on the screened porch would have been nice. It is a great house!

Lovely last-minute getaway

We had a lovely time at Lake Gaston. It felt like staying at the home of family friends who happen to have a nice, big place to stay right on the Lake. Homey, comfortable, well-equipped. The kids enjoyed splashing in the shallow, enjoying the beach toys, feeding the fish, and had a great sleep in the double queen room with no windows! We adults enjoyed relaxing on the screen porch overlooking the lake in the evenings. I took a call for work from the dock one evening and it was serene. My husband remarked, "The dock is one of the best parts of the whole place!" Well-built, comfortable seating in the shade, a bar fridge right there. Jump in at the end for a swim, feed the fish, or dangle your feet. The owners were accommodating, responsive, and kind. I highly recommend this property!

Perfect for families!

We had a wonderful time! This home is perfect for large families. The kids loved being able to stay together in the bunk room and have the little beach area to play and put the kayaks in. It was also perfect for the adults to hang out on the boat dock and relax when we weren’t out on the water. It’s a great location on the lake. Even the smaller kids had plenty of space to kayak and paddle board without a lot of boat traffic. The property is beautiful and well maintained.

Family Reunion

What an awesome house on the lake. We stayed the day after Christmas until the day after New Years and could not have asked for anything more. This was a family reunion after my father passed away unexpectedly at the beginning of October, which was planned prior to that. We had 10 staying in the house and 5 more family members living in the area that visited every day and we never felt like we were on top of each other. Between the gaming area downstairs, the family area and kitchen upstairs we were spread out over the house. The house is extremely well done and very comfortable. The kitchen, which was used daily, was very large and very well equipped. The gaming area downstairs with the pool table, air hockey, and seating area had lots of room and was a hit with everyone. The bedrooms were very comfortable and it was great that they were split between upstairs and downstairs giving everyone a chance to have their own space. Unbelievably, it even got warm enough a few days for some to use the kayaks and the paddle board. Who would of thought at the end of December? Dave, the owner, was very accessible for any questions and a pleasure to deal with. Overall, an incredible house in an awesome location that our family, having traveled from 4 different states, enjoyed completely to celebrate Christmas and New Years together. Thank you Dave and Lori for the use of your lake house. We really do hope to be able to return.

We had 11 in our party and had plenty of room for everyone! The location on the lake was ideal for us...rented a pontoon boat from Stone House Timber Lodge marina...20 minute drive from the house via boat or car. The oversized dock was great for games, sunbathing or just hanging out! The screened porch was we spent most of our time when not in the water! House was very clean, decorated and overflowing with conveniences!! We hope to return!!

Perfect Vacation!!

My immediate family and jet ski family could not have found a more perfect house for our vacation. There was plenty of space for everyone, lots of toys for the big and little kids, and for the cherry on top, we had perfect weather. We had the pleasure of meeting David and Lori and they were super nice and did us a huge favor and let our children and us enjoy the beach and dock area a little early. The lake was beautiful as we watched breathtaking sunrise/sunsets via our jet skis. I can say with confidence that we will be returning! Till next time... Best family vacation ever!

We had 5 families whose ages ranged from 3-76 years old, and we all had a fabulous time! The beach was perfect for all ages! We hung out at the beach and the boat dock all day and the porch at night. The kids absolutely loved the beach especially with all the extra beach toys, kayaks, and paddle board that Dave and his family provided. Dave was very responsive and helpful throughout this rental process. He went above and beyond by helping me find a photographer, answering any and all questions, as well as texting/calling before and during our stay to make sure everything was going well. The house was fully accommodating with kitchen supplies as well as indoor activities if it was rainy outside. Additionally, the house was perfectly located in a cove near the boat ramp, marina, and main lake. The lake was beautiful and clean as well. We enjoyed watching the sunset each night with this West-facing home. This home was perfect, and we hope to be able to get our families together soon to do it all over again!

Amazing house and boat house

This place is awesome. The layout of the house is perfect, its very comfortable throughout. All the rooms are well decorated and the place was very clean. Plenty of room for large groups and great for kids. We loved the kitchen which was stocked with everything that you need to prepare for large groups. Our favorite area in the morning was the large screened porch where we drank our coffee and enjoyed the lake views. The best place of all was the beach and boat house. The kids loved the beach where they could run into the water and play and the adults could supervise while lounging in a beach chair under an umbrella. The boat house has a large deck for all and a bar area with table we used all day. The cove is perfect for all water sports, we used our boat and 3 jet skis. We have been coming to lake Gaston fro 8 years and this house is our favorite. The owners are great and responded very quickly to any questions or concerns we had. Thank you David.

We came to North Carolina in 1990 from San Diego for a short term job, fully expecting to return to southern California after a couple of years. It didn't take long for us to fall in love with the tarheel state; it's exceptional physical beauty, the people and quality of life. That temporary job lasted over 25 years and we have raised our four children here in NC. We blame our best friends for making us boating enthusiasts and we quickly discovered that, next to our dinner table, the best family time was out on the lake in our boat. Now that our children are mostly grown, we needed a lure to get them to come home and we couldn't think of a better way than to buy a home on beautiful Lake Gaston.

Why they chose this property

We wanted a property with the following features and found it all in this home!
- West facing so we could watch the sunsets.
- Just off the main lake in a wide cove for protection from the wind and choppy water
- Boat house with large sitting area for relaxing and watching water activities
- > 8 ft water depth at end of dock
- Big enough to comfortably accommodate our growing family, from grandparents to grandchildren (this home is 4000 HSF with a double garage)
- A beautiful lot with an unobstructed view of the lake from the house
- A clean shore line with a sandy beach where small children could easily play w/o safety concerns
- Relatively new construction (built in 2004)
- In an established neighborhood with paved roads for walking or riding bikes and close to all the amenities (Roanoke Rapids/I-95 is 10 miles away)
