We were especially pleased to receive your message at check-in that “everything is beautiful,” and we’re glad the home made a positive first impression. We understand that every group has different expectations for gathering space. Our listing accurately describes the sleeping arrangements and includes photos of the multiple living spaces so guests can determine whether the layout is a good fit for their group. Many of our larger family groups enjoy spending time both inside and outside, taking advantage of the spacious deck, patio, dock, and lakefront areas. For meal preparation, the home also includes both a propane grill and griddle, providing additional cooking capacity and helping accommodate larger groups beyond the indoor kitchen. We appreciate your comments about the cookware and will review our kitchen inventory to see where larger serving pieces or additional cookware could improve the experience for larger groups. Our 4:00 PM check-in time is clearly stated in the listing and allows our turnover team sufficient time to thoroughly clean and inspect the home between guests, especially during peak season. This timing is common among short-term rentals because it helps ensure every guest arrives at a home that is fully prepared. When possible, we’re happy to accommodate early check-in requests, but we can’t guarantee them. Finally, regarding the towel rack, we appreciated you reporting the damage at the conclusion of your stay. When we inspected the bathroom, the towel rack had been pulled almost completely from the wall, which was secured to the wall with three heavy-duty wall anchors. The damage was not noted by our turnover team after the previous guest, and no issues were reported at check-in. As a result, we submitted a claim only for the actual cost to repair the damage in order to restore the bathroom for the next and future guests.
