Ma maison a tout! 180 pieds de front de mer, eau profonde (10 pieds Ă  la fin de la jetĂ©e), jouets aquatiques, engins de pĂȘche, Ăźle flottante de 6 personnes ancrĂ©e au large de la jetĂ©e (saison de baignade), porche 12X30, terrasse 12X65 avec vue sur le lac, aire de jeux pour enfants, Grande zone de plage avec hamac et chaises de plage, deux ensembles de planches de cornhole et une plage sĂ©parĂ©e avec filet de volley-ball / badminton et Ă©quipement de jeu.

7 chambres (2 avec lit Queen, 2 avec lits superposés lits superposés sur lit complet, 3 avec lit complet), 3 salles de bain complÚtes (chambre principale a salle de bain privée avec baignoire jacuzzi pour deux personnes et walk-in), grande salle à manger table avec des siÚges pour jusqu'à 16, WIFI, 200 chaßnes cùblées sur cinq téléviseurs plus ROKU sur quatre téléviseurs, deux espaces de vie (salon avec grande section et 55 "TV avec lecteur DVD à l'étage et salle de cinéma en bas avec home cinéma, TV, Roku, jeu Wii systÚme, foyer au bois et porte coulissante en verre à la terrasse et à la jetée extérieures.) 3 Chambres à coucher ont leur propre TV.

Some cleanliness issues - hair on sheets of 1 bed, landscaping issues at playground area - a lot of tall weeds. A lot of spider webs which could easily be brushed away with broom all over on porch.But, nice setup overall with plenty to do. Loved the float islands, but one had leak. Kayaks and paddle boards good. Good communication with owner.

The lake view is stunning & you can tell the home is kept up with well. Our large family loved the huge kitchen, open living room & downstairs game room. The outdoor area truly made this vacation unforgettable with fishing off the deck, kayaking in the lake, and s’mores in the firepit. As some mentioned, there is a bridge/road close by, it was not bothersome -we caught a few large catfish in the kayaks near it. Daniel, the host, was quickly responsive and very helpful from booking to checkout.

The property, and the fact that there's not a whole lot to do in the area, lended itself perfectly to a family vacation. It kept us together most of the time. Everyone had lots of fun kayaking and canoeing. The fire pit outside saw plenty of use at night. The kids loved making smores while the adults enjoyed music and great conversation. We also appreciated that Daniel responded quickly to texts whenever we had a question about anything. -- Finally, the Food Lion is very close to the house; just a few minutes down the road. Very convenient. And for those pizza lovers out there, we recommend Lake Gaston Pizza, next to the Food Lion.

A very big house with 7 rooms and having queen size beds in 6 of the 7 bedrooms was a big plus. We all loved the pool table and all of the outdoor amenities and fire pit on the sandy beach. Daniel was a great host and was very quick with response emails. Perfect for large family gatherings, but unfortunately we will not stay again only because of that very small “under the bridge” pass through for boats!

Host very responsive. We thought we had a problem with the fridge (we stocked it too full) but Dan checked back in the morning just to make sure. All was well.The dock was such a nice place to hang out all day, the toys that came with the house; paddle boards and kayaks filled our days on the water. The kitchen was big with plenty of items to cook/serve with.The sunsets were great from the porch and enough shade in the morning to meditate. Fishing was great off the dock too, caught lots of sun fish and small bass. The road is close by, but the noise was not noticeable. Housekeeping was just okay, but it could have been because we asked for a 30 min earlier check in for the baby's nap. We will be back; it was perfect for our big family! Thank you for sharing your home with us :)

A Yearly Tradition

We have stayed at this house for many years in a row. It works well with the number of bedrooms and the size of our family. There are many things that the grandchildren like to on the lake and games, etc. in the house. It is always a highlight of the year!

Family Lake Vacation

This was our first vacation to Lake Gaston as a family. Normally we would vacation at the mountains or beach. This house had everything we needed, especially for the children. The kayaks available, the beachy area down by the water, and the deck and porches really made the space seem even larger. Luckily the weather was great while we stayed at this house, but if we were stuck inside there was plenty of room to spread out. I would say the pictures of the kitchen/living room area are actually larger than what it looks like online. It was a great space for the entire family to hang out during the evenings. I would definitely recommend this property and hopefully we will be able to rent this location in the future.

Unsatisfactory

Terribly disappointed. Very dirty, pet hair everywhere, dirt on floors, etc. Kitchen counters not cleaned off. Not enough linens for us. The list goes on. For what we were charged for cleaning, not worth it. Would not recommend this property to anyone.

Another good weekend

We have stayed here quite a few years running in the fall. The grandchildren have a great time with the Wii, kayaks, etc. We always enjoy our weekend here.

Gaston vacation home

Inside was nice. Potential to be great. Cobwebs, dirty oven. Outside very thick cobwebs. Both decks and front porch needed a good sweeping, sand dirt twigs cobwebs. There are lots of trees though so I could see some but I think it was more as if it hadn’t been swept in a while. Downstairs toy room a nice plus for littles. Never used the side screened porch, or the decks didn’t come on vacation to clean someone else’s rental house. Lost a bedroom for the last 2 nights due to a bed breaking which had previously been glued back together. That was when we got a “wow” reply and communication stopped, it had been awesome till then. We still had a good time, kids loved the pier/deck at the water they went around clearing spider webs because there Nana was upset about them. But we all enjoyed the water, brought our jet skis and rented a pontoon so it was a great time. Bothers me the house was not wiped for the webs and 2 nights paying for 7 bedrooms I only had 6.

Couples Get-A-Way

This was not our first time staying at this home. It is absolutely perfect for our friend group. Enough seating for everyone. Open floor plan so we are all together. The best is the dining table that seats 14. We all ate together and played games together. Daniel was very accommodating and great to work with! We love this house so much that my family also stays here at other times.

Family vacation

The property was as described, photos a bit deceiving with regards to proximity of neighboring homes in the cul de sac, as well as the two lane highway across the lake and subsequent road noise. The layout of the home was perfect for our extended family. The owner was quickly responsive from rental to checkout. We enjoyed our family get together and were very appreciative of being allowed to include multiple family dogs without breed/weight restrictions often found with many VRBO property rentals.

Another Great Weekend

I book this house every fall for a weekend for my husband, children and grandchildren. This year it rained most of Saturday, but between the ping pong, pool table, Wi, air hockey, games, etc. everybody stayed happy! We are a large family, so the 7 bedrooms is wonderful. Also, the large dining room table! I don't believe there was anything that we had to run out to get because it wasn't there. A great place to stay.

To clean or not to clean

The property itself is beautiful, but the house definitely needs a deep cleaning. There was so much accumulated dust on the fans in the ceiling, and all the ceiling beams also full of dust. The air ducts and the air intake are full of dust in the hallway toward the stairs. The floor were full of cat or dog hair. The sofas were full of either dog or cat hair you could sit because your clothes would be full of hair. The porch was full of leaves/front of the house also. The master bedroom smells like cat piss, I spent day and a half cleaning my sister and her two babies went back home to their house instead of staying. And to top it off we had to tidy up after paying a cleaning fee and the house needed cleaning before got there. The grill was bad you could even cook out because it was so dirty. For the money we paid to stay there it really left us very unsatisfied. Poor house keeping.

So much room!

I loved the layout of this home. Daniel was great to communicate with. It was well stocked and seven bedrooms meant everyone had a private room. The dock was really nice with deep water. The four person floats were a favorite. We loved the screened in porch, as well. The kayaks got a workout and the huge fire pit was awesome. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

Lake House Getaway

My family loved our stay at this lake house! Plenty of space for everyone and the amenities exceeded expectation. The view from the house was delightful! We enjoyed kayaking, lounging on the pier and grilling our dinner on the large deck, then eating as a family around the spacious dining table. The well-stocked kitchen was a plus. We also had a great time in the game room. The owner was very responsive to questions and I’m thankful he shared his fantastic lake home with us!

Enjoyed our time there

Spacious with nice size bedrooms. Great swimming, floating, and kayaking. The grandkids loved the sand. Nice deep water for jumping and diving. Short drive to get to stores. All of us fit comfortably around the dining room table. We had 16 people and we could have used more forks and spoons. Cleaning crew needs to dust fan and beams in the LR. Could also use some plastic or unbreakable cups for kids.

One thing after another...

Arriving I noticed the cushions on the sofas were in disarray, a closer look after removing one I saw how filthy they were with potato chip crumbs, popcorn, crayons, cereal and pretzels. I had to find the vacuum cleaner before I could even unload my car. Also, the kitchen cabinet hardware was dirty from food/hand prints so I had to clean them. Next, the ice maker was not working (I read that another person was offered compensation, but not me?) Next, we found things (women's thong underwear, an empty bottle of liquor) around the house from previous people.Then, the AC stopped working and the condenser is in a locked area with no key left at the house. We had to spend the night sweating and we opened the cobweb/spider covered windows.The next day, the HVAC guy had a lot of trouble trying to remove the door by the hinges (without damaging the door) and I got hung up on since it would take the owner 2 hours to get there. HVAC guy eventually was able to get the door off. After that, the washing machine was broken and not filling up with water. We were told we weren't starting it right. (No, it was broken, later acknowledged) It was agitating and no water in the tub. We had to take 15 garbage bags to the laundry mat and it was over 14 miles away so that was another day taken away from our "vacation." I have pictures but Vrbo doesn't have a platform for sharing photos. We were not offered any compensation or empathy. House needs more attention,I'moutofspace
