Beautiful and luxurious traditional town house with courtyard, roof terraces and own private pool in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Situated in the old ‘Arab quarter’ of a small, historic & very Spanish Andalucían whitewashed town with all facilities, 15 minutes from the beach & just over 1 hour to the ski slopes. 40 minutes drive to Granada, & just over 1 hour to Malaga. Beautifully refurbished by a professional designer using high end fittings and finishes throughout it has 3 bedrooms, 1 dressing room, 2 bathrooms, 2 reception rooms and sleeps 6. Spacious self contained total relaxation and extremely central for all the local attractions (including the town’s historic Arabic local church, castle and Nazrene Gardens).

Please note: we can only accept bookings from Saturday to Saturday in high season. Bookings with any other start/finish days will not be accepted.

Also please note the house is not suitable for families with children between the ages of 2 and 10 due to safety concerns (the pool is unfenced and easily accessible from the house, and the house has open plan tiled stairs ) and the fact that the house has high end fixtures and fittings that are not durable enough to withstand the wear and tear that often comes with young children.

Well-equipped house in the centre of Velez de Benaudalla

This was our second stay at this property and was as enjoyable as the first. The house is well equipped with everything we needed for our two week holiday and has the bonus of its own swimming pool which, even in late October, was warm enough for us to enjoy a daily swim. Would highly recommend, and we certainly hope to be able to stay again in the future.

Lovely house in the heart of Velez de Benaudalla

We rented the house for 2 weeks in October 2020, four adults on a cycling and walking holiday. The house is well appointed and has great outside space with a lovely pool that got plenty of use. It's a traditional terraced property, but has been refurbished in a modern style. There was plenty of space for the four of us with everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome cycling base

We were a group of 4 adults on a cycling adventure. We like to cook all our our meals and relax after riding. We were able to all this in great comfort and really appreciated the pool and lounge areas. The kitchen is stocked with a few extras like herbs and condiments that make being there easy and pleasurable

Great stay

We had a great stay at the apartment, the pool and courtyard are a great addition although it was a little cold when we visited to make to most of this! Sound travels quite easily through the walls and from the street but this wasn’t an issue for us. Kitchen very well equipped. We had a slight issue with the hob but fed this back to the owner who assured us this would be checked. This was a great base for our cycling holiday. Would go back, ideally in warmer weather!

Brilliant location

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. The house is beautiful and outside patio and pool area wonderful and the house is in a brilliant location, close to bakeries, restaurants, cafes and a small supermarket. The bed was comfortable and the house is really spacious. It amazed me how warm it was still in Velez at the end of October. The owners replied very swiftly to our mails and have a helpful guide in the house. The terraces might do with a bit of cleaning and the bed sheets are a bit worn. Otherwise a wonderful stay in a well equipped house.

Un séjour mémorable

Une villa somptueuse avec des espaces de vie confortables et idéaux à la fois en intérieur et en extérieur; Les terrasses ainsi que la piscine sont très belles; Le village de Velez est très agréable et typique avec des commerces de proximité; Un lieu idéal proche de Grenade et des plages : salobrena, ou un peu plus loin la herradurra. Nous avons supporté la chaleur au mois d'aout car la maison est fraiche et est équipée de climatiseurs dans les chambres. Nous avons passé des vacances mémorables. Merci à Clinton .

Erg leuk vakantiehuis in een fantastisch dorp

Super leuke vakantie woning, om de hoek een bakker en paar meter verder een supermarkt. Ook voor uiteten is het super verschillende restaurantjes op loop afstand. Motril en Salobrena zijn ook waard om te bezoeken.

Super séjour !

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Velez de Benaudalla. La maison est superbe que cela soit l'intérieur ou l'extérieur. Il y a trois grandes chambres avec climatisation et plusieurs salles de bain toutes très bien décorées. La cuisine est très fonctionnelle et toute équipée. Mais le plus charmant reste la terrasse qui est très typique et agréable. La piscine est également très agréable. Tout était parfait, merci pour ce séjour !

Bonita casa

El alojamiento está espectacular y muy cuidado, alguna incidencia con el wifi fue resuelta con rapidez y nuestra estancia ha resultado muy gratificante, disfrutando de la tranquilidad de la zona y de la piscina. El entorno fabuloso, Granada con la Alhambra y la ruta por los pueblos de La Alpujarra son de visita obligada. Un opción para vacaciones altamente recomendable.

Estancia acogedora en villa coqueta y bien decorada

A mi familia y a mí nos ha encantado la estancia en esta villa tan especial, decorada con mucho gusto y con una piscina muy agradable. Cuestiones que se pueden mejorar: la limpieza en la cocina, en el patio y en la terraza. Las camas necesitan un cambio de colchón cuando sea posible. La recomendaremos a nuestros familiares y amigos.

Velez de Benaudalla: a friendly village!

What a charming house this is, right in the middle of the village. Nicely renovated and decorated while still keeping its character, beautiful doors, windows and design. The outdoor space is really great with its swimming pool, dining and sitting areas. Upon our arrival, we decided to go to Motril for grocery shopping (about 15 minutes away), then parked the car at the entrance of the village, and didn’t use it for the rest of the week. We enjoyed walking in the village and around it. There are two small grocery stores in the village, two or 3 panaderías (bakeries), many bars. We were there during the week of Fiestas de San Antonio. Many free activities around this event, mostly at night, some even starting at midnight!, including fireworks, a flamenco show, fanfare, reenactment of a battle between the Moors and the Christians, election of a queen and duchess, dance, music. Also available, rides and carousel, bumper cars, (probably had to pay for those but as we did not go in the rides, so not sure). It was great fun and the whole village seem to enjoy this annual festival. Worth mentioning as well, our visit of Jardin Nazari, a beautiful garden featuring interesting caves. And we had superb weather!

Why they chose this property

When we bought this house, we were looking for something that was tastefully renovated with enough space for 6 and with a lot of space for entertaining. We also wanted it to be away from the hustle and bustle of where we live, so we chose this charming town where life moves slowly, but you can still get everything you need.

What makes this property unique

Our villa is unique in so many ways: it's 20 mins from the coast, so you won't be paying astronomical prices; it has a private swimming pool and lots of outdoor areas to relax and enjoy; it's in a small town that has a great vibe with lots of local activities and a close-knit community; it's close to great sightseeing (the Alhambra) and easy to get to via Malaga airport.
