Kefalonia apartments

Our family running hotel is located in a pretty town of Spartia, which is on the south-west coast of Kefalonia.

Lovely 2 bedroom apartments and studios are recently renovated: the rooms are decorated in pastel colors and look very nice.

Here you can book 2 bedroom apartments that are located on the ground floor.

Apartments have a well-equipped kitchen corner. A bathroom offers WC and a shower.

Lovely and specious enough veranda will give you possibility to spend a beautiful time with family or friends.

You will find 2 single beds in the one of the bedrooms and one double bed in another bedroom. An extra bed can be placed in the living room upon request.

The living room is compact but is able to offer (except a kitchen corner) also a dining area.

The house is surrounded by a wonderful, well-tended garden, where depending on the season our guests can enjoy oranges, plums, figs, and peaches. For tea, you can always rip a fresh lemon from a tree growing right there.

We like to indulge our guests with homemade marmalade, eggs from our hens, freshly caught fish, and lovingly cooked hot dish.

We do our utmost to create a friendly, homely atmosphere and share our warmth and cordiality with the guests. We are very happy that people gladly come back here year after year.

There are two wonderful beaches in Spartia. The beach of Termanti is about 800 m away. The main beach of Spartia is about 950 m away. A part of the road goes along the slope, so returning from the beach to the hotel can be somewhat tiresome. On our opinion, it is necessary to have a car allowing you to reach the beach in just 3 -5 minutes.

Down below, you will find three taverns by the sea, where you can have breakfast, supper, and lunch.

The center of Spartia with a mini market and tavern is one kilometer away. The products and goods you need can be also ordered by phone, delivery is for free.

All the nearest beaches - Termanti, Klimatsias, Ema, and Pessada - are incredibly picturesque and original. They can boast of gentle sand, rocky ledges for diving as well as beautiful underwater grottoes.

Spartia is a quiet, small, pretty town. Hotels and villas are mixed here with small houses of local residents, which creates a special atmosphere - incredibly pleasant and warm. Slowly wandering along the evening streets of the town you seem to find yourself in another world - a cozy, hospitable, shrouded silence and the most delicate fragrance of herbs, the sea, and flowering shrubs.

An absolute gem of a stay. Katerina, Angela and family are truly fantastic hosts - genuine, friendly, caring, and happy to share their knowledge, lives and food with visitors. We arrived on a late night flight, with a hire car already booked, yet Katerina and Angela still came out to the airport to meet us, help us with the luggage, sort the car and lead us to their home and the apartment. They had even cooked us dinner and stocked the fridge so we did not have to worry about eating or immediate shopping. The apartment was just right - traditional, clean, tidy, air conditioned - with a great outside space to relax, eat and soak in the atmosphere of the orchard and serene environment. There is a wonderful small gift shop owned by Katerina and Angela with lots of high quality local crafts to buy as presents and keep-sakes, and a family chapel that provided a quiet space first thing in the morning for reflection and prayer. Their laundry shed was really useful to wash towels etc, and doubles as a site of sharable, usable goodies for the beach (including umbrellas, mats, goggles, racquets, balls and freeze blocks) - excellent when you want to to spend time in the cove but not have to pack or buy these things. Our hosts were always around if we needed them, yet always provided us with space and privacy. They advised us on restaurants, how to find the secret cove, where to visit depending on how far we wanted to go or how long we had. We will be going back!

An absolute gem for exploring Kefalonia, with the kindest, most obliging hosts

Wow. We have never felt more welcome at a rental property than at this beautiful apartment in the village of Spartia in southern Kefalonia. Katerina was super helpful, arranging car hire for us. She also picked us up from the airport and had very kindly prepared some food since we had a late arrival. Nothing was too much trouble, and we felt more like family guests than like holiday renters. When we first arrived, we were struck by how beautiful it was. The large garden setting is stunning, with fruit trees and endless plants, herbs, pots etc. It is clear how much love is poured into the garden. The apartment itself was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated in a fresh way (love the bathroom tiles!). Beds were comfortable, the shower is nice and strong and the covered outdoor seating area was an absolute godsend for eating meals and getting respite from the sun. Beautiful vines frame the whole area, and there is a handy laundry shed. The view from both bedrooms is beautiful. Out to the back, you are treated to orange, lemon, grapefruit, fig, pomegranate, almond, plum and palm trees, and to the front are eucalyptus and a view to the ocean. It's a 15-minute walk (or a short drive) down to the beach and a 12-minute walk uphill to the Square, which has a couple of shops, an excellent restaurant and a really nice cafe-bar. We loved swimming in the sea daily, snorkelling, driving around exploring, a boat trip, kayaking, walking and of course eating delicious Greek food at several tavernas and cafes. And turtles in the wild – what an absolute joy! Fiskardo was picture postcard-beautiful but very upmarket-touristy and yachty, while the vibe in Spartia and around the south coast seemed more authentic Kefalonia. We also enjoyed Agia Efimia and Mount Aenis reserve – lovely place for a walk and picnic. We had an utterly brilliant and memorable holiday and loved helping ourselves to a few oranges and lemons straight off the tree – honestly, a simple highlight for me! Other highlights: a boat trip with Ionian Discoveries, excellent meals out, some of the beaches and just chilling at the apartment. Eternal thanks to lovely Katerina, Angela, Gerassimo and the team and adorable Bobby the rescued dog. They also run a stunning gift shop that sells gorgeous artisan products. Katerina and family offer a little piece of paradise from which to explore this beautiful, friendly island. A special stay that we cherish always – thank you so much!

Charming place! So quiet, stressfree with lots of greenery around. We stayed in a ground floor apartment with a veranda. It wasn't expensive, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchenette. Wonderful holiday

We spent a wonderful week in this lovely apartment! It is indeed a very special place, cozy and relaxing. The plot is huge, full of various trees. I have never tried such tasty, sweet oranges like those, we got from Katerina’s orchard! The only thing you have to do is to rent a car, all the rest will be arranged by magic host - Katerina :)))

Our family of 5 (2 teenagers) stayed here in May. Comfortable beds, nice shower, kitchen, wonderful veranda. Owner was prompt to meet us and very helpful. Charming garden around with lemon, orange trees etc We highly recommend this apartment!
