Villa Amelia: Lujo Chalet de 2 dormitorios con piscina privada WiFi GRATIS DISPONIBLE!

Villa Amelia fue construido y terminado en el verano de 2006. Está situado al final de una tranquila calle sin salida, con fácil acceso y zona de aparcamiento para varios coches. La villa se encuentra en el pueblo de Metaxata con impresionantes vistas del monte Enos más imponente (1626m) y el castillo de San Jorge, la antigua capital de Kefalonia. La villa se encuentra en su propio terreno con un jardín maduro atractivo y bien mantenido. La piscina es muy privado, se tamiza por una serie de coberturas de alto y no se pasa por alto por nadie. La zona de barbacoa está cerrado con una pagoda de madera y piedra y tiene su propia iluminación y agua corriente. La villa dispone de aire acondicionado, con dos dormitorios, dos en suite con bañera y ducha. También hay un baño de abajo con ducha. La planta baja consta de un plan de área grande sala de estar abierta, con 2 sofás de cuero italiano de lujo. Para su entretenimiento la villa cuenta con un 40 '' TV de plasma, equipo de música y iPod Gear estación de acoplamiento 4 que también se puede utilizar en la zona de barbacoa. La casa está equipada con un DVD y una extensa colección de DVD con más de 300 películas para elegir, con un montón de viejos clásicos y películas para niños. Hay una cocina totalmente equipada con vitrocerámica, horno, frigorífico-congelador, microondas, lavadora y lavavajillas. Hay 2 zonas de comedor: 1 en el patio y 1 en la zona de barbacoa y cada uno tiene capacidad para seis o más personas. En el exterior, hay extensas áreas pavimentadas con vistas a la piscina con tumbonas, sombrillas y mesas junto a la piscina café. . Villa Amelia es 110m2 en un terreno de 700m2. Un paquete gratuito que está esperando a su llegada.

Everything there you would possibly need.Could not master the TV instructions to get any TV channels. We used our Prime account to watch films.The pool man was very friendly and helpful for local information. The only annoying factor was the wasps when eating outside.

Villa Amelia

Just lovely - pre stay communications, cleaner, pool maintenance and property manager all super. The property was perfect for us, clean, comfortable.All amenities we needed and really excellent outside spaces for relaxing, swimming and dining. Highly recommend. To make the most of the island, a car is most definitely needed, but this too is well catered for in a shaded parking area at the property!

Tolles Haus für einen entspannten Urlaub

Das Haus ist ideal für einen entspannten Familienurlaub. Der Pool ist super. Die Lage auf der Insel mit Nähe zum Flughafen und zur Hauptstadt ist perfekt. Schöne kleine Strände sind gut mit dem Auto erreichbar. Patrick ist der ideale Vermieter, das Haus ist voll ausgestattet, mit allem was man braucht und Ivor und Pam sind sehr hilfsbereich und jederzeit erreichbar.

Perfect and lovely

We had such a wonderful time in this villa. It has all amenities that we needed (and more). It is very clean, everything is working, is in great condition and maintained well. The description is very precise. It's a lovely place in a quiet location. Perfect for us. the pool is great (for smaller kids too). The communication with the owner Patrick and Ivor&Pam on site was flawless. Everything was taken care of. We enjoyed every second of our stay and highly recommend it.

Thank you Villa Amelia. We had the best holiday. Our first in 10 years and it was everything we needed and wanted. Great location for staying on the island. We hired a car. Really close to the airport, which was great for getting the holiday started. Really lovely hosts. There if you needed them but not in your face. The villa was a perfect home from home. Everything we needed and more. Close to a few shops so we could stock up the fridge. And the pool was great. We were two adults a 10yr old and an 11yr old. Plenty of space, not overlooked. They played all week so we could actually rest! Can’t thank you enough. We will be back next year! Jen, Ian, Fran and Max. Xxx

Wunderschöne Villa: Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Entspannen

Die Villa Amelia ist einfach toll und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Ivor hat uns am Flughafen herzlich empfangen und sich viel Zeit genommen uns die Villa zu zeigen und die Sehenswürdigkeiten auf der Insel zu erklären. Der Kühlschrank war vorab schon für uns mit Getränken aufgefüllt und auch der Grill war betreits mit Kohle und Anzünder bestückt. Der Empfehlung im nahegelegenen Restaurant „the Olive Grove“ zu essen, sind wir leider erst am vorletzten Tag gefolgt. Wenn wir das eher gemacht hätten, hätten wir vermutlich jeden Tag dort gegessen! Alle waren sehr freundlich, das Essen super lecker und man sitzt in einem tollen Garten. Ein Mietwagen ist empfehlenswert. Damit kann man gut alles auf der Insel in Max. 1 Std. 30 Min. erreichen. Zum Einkaufen sind wir meistens zum nahegelegenen AB oder Lidl gefahren, da bekommt man alles, was man braucht. Insgesamt kann ich nur sagen, war es ein wirklich toller und entspannter Urlaub!

Totally impressed

Wonderful - home from home. Villa comfortable, very well equipped. Lovely quiet road in a small village. Met at the airport by the amazing Pam and Ivor, they ensure you get to the villa, have a few essentials in the fridge on arrival and are at the end of the phone if you need anything. What a lovely couple they are. Lovely looking pool, just far too cold to get in, ( would have been happy to pay extra to have pool heated) so not used for the whole two weeks. The pool was well kept - with a pool man visiting every few days. Gardens are beautifully maintained. Lovely pots of geraniums in full bloom, which I watered every other day. Gardeners came whilst we were there to trim the bushes and plant a new fur tree. The area is stunning, nearby beaches. Fantastic butcher (meat market) close by, my goodness the steaks and chops were huge. Three supermarkets close by: Carrefour, AB and Lidl, used all three. The island is just gorgeous, two weeks is not enough to do everything, so Patrick and Eileen we will be back. We want to hire a boat for a day and tour around the coves and the nearby island of Ithaca. One of the nicest holidays I have had. Lovely to have comfortable bed and settees, just like home. Thankyou Patrick and Eileen for sharing your wonderful second home. I am very envious. Caroline and Paul

Lovely villa, great location

We had a brilliant holiday at Villa Amelia with our two small children. The villa was excellent, it felt really homely and Patrick and Eileen had provided everything you could possibly need. It was also great to have Pam and Ivor meet us at the airport and be nearby if we had any questions. The outside space is great at the villa too. Kefalonia is beautiful and peaceful with some amazing beaches. We'd highly recommend this villa.

Our holiday in Vila Amelia

Just returned from 10 fantastic days at Villa Amelia. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there the Villa is just as described, with good Wi-Fi, the pool and garden are totally private. We rented a car and enjoyed the area a short drive to the capital Argostoli. Our favourite Restaurant The Olive Grove was a short drive away and would be an easy walk. The Villa is managed by Ivor and Pam who were very helpful and knowledgeable, collecting us from the airport and pointing out their favourites. We feel sure we will return. Stephen and Amanda.

Lovely villa in an excellent location

This is Patrick and Eileen's holiday home and it certainly feels like a real home from home. The property is very well furnished and equipped with everything you could possibly need, including an extensively equipped kitchen, dvd library, ipod deck etc. It is set in a very peaceful village location with views over open countryside to the mountains. The gardens are pretty with an excellent barbeque/outdoor dining area that we used on numerous occasions. The pool is maintained to a very high standard. We were very glad that we were met at the airport by Ivor as we would never have found the villa otherwise, he also gave us a wealth of information about the island and although we had no problems with the villa, it was re-assuring to know that he and Pamela were close at hand if we needed them. The villa is only 10 minutes from the airport, but we didn't experience any aircraft noise whatsoever. We have stayed in a number of villas on various Greek islands but this is the best yet and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Lovely villa in central location

This is a lovely villa in a great location. The presentation of the villa is immaculate and the facilities offered are excellent - for example it was great to have a juicer to squeeze fresh orange juice every morning. The villa is equipped so that you can e njoy both the outside space which is lovingly maintained or cuddle up and watch a couple of DVDs. The meet and greet at the airport is excellent and that together with the hassle free small airport means that this is the most relaxing holiday that we have had. The island is much greener than expected and the roads quiet, I would definitely advise travelling round to explore and the well presented house manual pointed us in the right direction of where to visit. Our favourite local beach was Avithos and we had good meals in both tavernas. Further afield both Antisamos and Petani are real wow locations. Definitely recommended!

A great place to stay

Had a lovely stay at Villa Amelia for a week as a family of four. Accomodation, pool and garden is of a high quality and we wanted for nothing. Quick wifi and extensive dvd library also good for chilling out time. The meet and greet at the airport was welcomed as this means the stress of map reading after a long journey was avoided. Also Ivor was able to give us a good base knowledge of the local area. Would recommend the local taverna and a visit to Argostoli harbour at about 10am to see the turtles - you really get up close.

You won't be disappointed

Villa Amelia was excellent! We can highly recommend it. It is more than just a holiday let, it has a real homely feel to it with a superb garden, bbq area and pool. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, next to a field (usually filled with goats), an ideal location for touring the island. You will not be disappointed if you book this villa. Also, you will receive an excellent service from the owners and from Pam & Ivor who live on the island and will look after you and settle you in.

Byron's Village

Villa Amelia is located in a quiet cul-de-sac in Metaxata and is accurately portrayed in Patrick and Eileen's description. The rear garden looks over to one of the village churches in the distance, and the high mountains of Kefallinia. It is a particularly beautiful view at night. The exterior of the villa is roomy, there is an excellent barbecue area, shaded and with good seating and lighting for evening use and a delightful, and private pool. The dining areas outside are light for breakfast, and spacious. Inside it is a relative rarity to find villas so well kitted out for self-catering; Villa Amelia is one of those home from homes that has been sensitively provided for guests' use. Internally it is light, there is an excellent DVD library and a diverse set of books beyond simple holiday reading for those who want a bit more choice. The kitchen and lounge areas are a good size as are the two en suite bedrooms with lovely balconies. WIFI and a small netbook help with those of us who like to check a few e mails which we thought was a really nice touch. Pam who met us at the villa could not be more helpful and gave us written directions to places of interest, popular and less well known beaches, and where to eat well or on a budget. She and Ivor live very close by in case of any problems. That was again a very well thought through part of the process of helping travellers to settle in quickly. The location is very good. It easy to get to many of the key sites around and about be it the splendid and unspoiled capital, Argostoli, or the more touristy Skala or indeed local beach resorts like Spartia (where we saw wild loggerhead turtles one evening). The local taverna, Eleanos, is a short walk and on the two occasions that we used it, was good for choice and value. The little local take- away seems well used and we thought its food to be very nice. The area has wonderful vegetation so typical of the island, beautiful olive groves, wild herbs and the goats that are so common in the islands. It smells so fresh and healthy in Metaxata. Our weather in September was really excellent and our holiday was lovely, partly as a result of escaping England's grim summer, but mainly for the outdoor culture of Kefallinia. Thank you Patrick and Eileen for your kindness in sharing a super home with us and for all the work and care that had gone into making our holiday that little bit special. Michael and Alex

Even better 2nd time around

We were worried this year that we might find things very different with the political and financial unrest i.e. would flights be disrupted, would be get money from ATM machines, etc, Thankfully we encountered no problems, if anything locals were even more welcoming. We've had such horrible weather at home this year that it was like a miracle spending two whole weeks with nothing but blue skies - fantastic. I can't tell you what a wonderful sensation it was entering Villa Amelia again. We feel so comfortable there. The pool is just gorgeous, the bar-b-que area lovely, bedrooms great with air con and fans and boy did we need them this year as we had a heat wave the first week. You really don't need to bring much in terms of clothing because all the facilities are at hand and the clothes dry in 20 mins in the sun. We got a yellow car this year so it was easy to spot whereever we parked it. We travelled to parts of the island we hadn't covered last year, such as Poros which we liked, Lixuri which was a short ferry trip from Argostoli and has a lovely beach called Petani. We did most of the beaches on the coastline south to Scala. The beauty about Kefalonia is that no two beaches are the same. Martin is not a sand lover but there are so many beaches with pebbles e.g. Lourdas that all tastes are catered for. One of our favourite occupations is to go to Argostoli mid morming and chill out in the cafes and restaurants, then purchase our fresh fruit along the harbour - fantastic. We tried lots of different restaurants this year but our favourite has to be Elleanos which is a lovely stroll down past the Church that you see from the back of the villa. Dennis and his staff are just great. Villa Amelia is so well located that everything is convenient i.e. airport, supermarkets, restaurants, beaches, the works!! It offers great privacy as it's not overlooked. It has a great library of films, books and cds. We were able to Skype with all the family as the Wi Fi service worked a treat. There's a plentiful supply of wine glasses all you have to do is keep them filled and relax. We have absolutely no reservation in recommending Villa Amelia.

A fantastic holiday

This was my third holiday in Kefalonia and it was without doubt the best yet. The villa is modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. Patrick and Eileen provide everything you might need so that the villa feels more like a home and not just holiday accommodation. The facilities in the garden are very good offering both privacy and shade from the Kefalonian sun. We usually ate breakfast in the barbecue area and when we didnt go out for the day, spent lunchtimes on the terrace sampling the local produce. From my previous visits to the island I knew the villa was in an excellent location. The airport is less than 15 minutes away and there are a number of lovely beaches and villages within easy reach. There are a few restaurants in the local villages but a 15 minute drive into Argostoli rewards you with a picturesque but busy harbour by day and a large selection of restaurants, bars and popular shopping area by night. Kefalonia is a beautiful island, there are a number of small towns around the coastline which are easily accessible if you do want to explore and as an alternative it is easy to hop on a boat in Argostoli for a different perspective. I would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Amelia, for a family of four it really is hard to beat and I hope we will get the opportunity to return

A taste of heaven in Greece

It was our first trip to Kefalonia so we were excited to meet Pam and Ivor at the airport and get on our way. The villa is situated on the outskirts of a little village, Metaxata, which is approx 10 - 15 minutes from the airport. The views of the sea are fantastic as you make your way. Villa Amelia is on an end site in a small row of houses and this means that there’s complete privacy when using the garden, pool and bar-b-que facilities. Great! There’s a large mountain to the back of the villa that works a treat for getting your orientation when travelling to and from the villa. The villa is perfectly positioned for exploring the island and we spent several days doing that, stopping at glorious beaches and lunching in lovely villages by the side of the sea. We were very pleasantly surprised with Villa Amelia because even though we had looked through all the photos before making our booking, the rooms, especially the bedrooms and en-suites, were bigger than we expected. Air conditioning and fans are available in the bedrooms though the natural flow of air is good because of the windows positioning. There’s a extensive villa directory that’s worth spending some time perusing early in your stay because it answers all the usual questions re appliances, the whys and wherefores of how things work in the villa and also provides information on local restaurants, beaches, markets, supermarkets, etc.. We loved our time there because the sun shines on the pool from early morning so it’s a great way to start the day with a swim and breakfasting on the terrace. Although there’s an extensive library of DVDs we actually never had the time to avail of these. We had a couple of wonderful evenings using the bar-b-que facilities. The rest of the evenings we ate in local restaurants where the food was magic and very reasonably priced and we also went into Argostoli (10 mins drive), the island’s capital, where there’s a super buzz at night. We would highly recommend the street markets in Argostoli for fruit, veg and fish shopping. It was a great holiday, we thoroughly enjoyed the villa and its amenities and we highly recommend it.

Fantastic place and location

Everything that we could wish for and more. Perfect location with easy access to airport, argostoli and our favourite place which is Georges Castle with the cafe/bar having all you need for a perfect lunch and having been there before nice to go back. The guy who looked after the pool was chatty and the pool was always immaculate, also the gardener, he works very hard and keeps it immaculate. Pam and Ivor were there to greet us at the airport and nothing was too much trouble if we needed them. As we have been before we knew the area pretty well. The barbecue area is the best we have seen and we have stayed in many villas in many countries.We found some lovely walks around Metataxata and the people we met very friendly. Our favourite place to eat at night was the Olive Tree which came highly recommended by Patrick and we were well looked after by Dennis, Andreas and young Dennis who got to be quite cheeky. Would recommend this villa to anyone and would definately go back

A Little Piece of Heaven

We visited Villa Amelia for 2 weeks in May/June 2011. We would like to compliment Patrick and Eileen for their excellent communication and the organisation of our holiday at Villa Amelia. We had a 6am flight so were exhausted on arrival to be greeted with smiles and swept up by Ivor & Pam who took us to without delay to the Villa and settled us in. They were very helpful but not obtrusive and were on the end of the telephone should we need them. The Villa was everything we had hoped, in a quiet cul de sac and not overlooked at the back, very private. The swimming pool was of perfect temperature and we swam every day. It was cleaned regularly and the gardens were beautifully maintained. Week one we took a taxi to the local supermarket and stocked up the fridge ready for a total chill out by the pool and we enjoyed the villa, garden, barbeque and the magnificent views of the mountains in every kind of light. A highlight for me was lying in the garden at night on the sun lounger and catching a shooting star, magic! Don't forget to look at the stars! Week 2 we hired a car and ventured around the island which wasn’t too challenging. We had a very positive experience with car rental from Express cars in Lassi who gave us a good deal. Taxi’s are expensive, minimum 15 euros, 25 euros to the airport. I would strongly recommend car hire as there is no bus service. We ate out the second week, choosing most nights to go to the nearest venue The Olive Grove which was a 10 min walk away, food and service is excellent and friendly, no car required. All in all, a great holiday and highly recommended. Many thanks to Patrick and Eileen and Pam and Ivor for a special time. Best wishes Julie & Karen

A rPerfect Place

Villa Amelia was the perfect place for my parents to stay to visit my sister who lives in Kefalonia.Halfway between our villa on the coast and my sisters house it was an idyllic villa with lovely views and a quiet and secluded location.Patrick and Eileen have made it very welcoming with every home comfort over and above what you would normally expect from a holiday home. Beautifully clean and maintained my parents who are in their eighties but still very active and independent,enjoyed the walks round the village and the goats coming through the pasture with their bells. We enjoyed our visits and time spent with them in the pool and cooking on the bbq sipping wine round the fire at night in the garden. It was a perfect spot to access all areas, quiet yet within easy reach of shops and restaurants.Health permitting my parents would love to come back again and would highly recommend this lovely villa to anyone looking for that perfect place in the sun!

Our holiday

The villa is in an excellent location for touring the island, proximity to the airport and local restraunts.One, the Olive Grove, is within walking distance. Some of the best beaches are not too far either, including Spartia.We found the villa to be very well equiped and spacious. We were there for two weeks, one week with our younger daughter,her husband and their 6 year olod daughter.We love the Island,this being our 5th. visit.The family is "hooked" now too.The only downside was that despite very hot weather ahead of and during our time there was the pool temperature.Maybe some heat needed as it is only in full sun for part of the day.The BBQ area/facility was fantastic for outdoor meals.We shall return to the island again as will our daughters!

Villa Amelia, Kefalonia

Our first visit to Kefalonia and we loved both the island and this villa. The villa is in a peaceful location and provides everything you need for a home-from-home holiday. Pam and Ivor (who welcome guests at the airport and are there if needed - which we did!) were superb. Nothing was too much trouble. It was also lovely to arrive at a villa and find the basics all there. We hope to be back soon.

The Perfect Spot

We spent a week at Villa Amelia in June and had a wonderful holiday. The villa is situated relatively close to the airport but is not affected in any way by noise or traffic. Metaxata makes an excellent base for exploring the many places of interest on the island and the villa is in a quiet and secluded location with pretty pastoral views of the church and sometimes the goats. Villa Amelia has everything required for a comfortable and relaxing holiday plus, when we stayed, some very thoughtful and useful additions such as internet access, mobile phone chargers and the use of some 3 pin sockets. The welcome pack was an added bonus as when we arrived we just wanted to crash out after a long journey. The garden and outside areas of the villa are particularly attractive and private. We had heat wave weather but there were plenty of books, games and DVDs etc indoors to amuse had the weather turned inclement. The information provided by Patrick and Eileen on places to visit and local tavernas proved to be exceptionally useful. We loved the ‘Olive Grove’ taverna and ‘To Kastro’ café next to the Castle. Over all the restaurants were of a very high standard with some of the best food we have tasted in Greece and very friendly staff. We can highly recommend Villa Amelia and Metaxata to anyone wishing to visit the beautiful island of Kefalonia

Excellent villa ,Excellent holiday.

During May 2010 both my girlfriend and I spent a week in Kefallonia staying in the beautiful Villa Amelia. Located in the quaint town of Metaxata just a short ten minute drive from the capital Argistoli, Villa Amelia offers spectacular views of the nearby countryside and mountains. Upon our arrival we were delighted to find a villa that is not only spacious and tastefully furnished but contained all modern appliances throughout. Its prime location meant that a day at the beach or dinner and drinks in the lively town of Argistoli is never more than a ten minute drive away. Both of us lead quite active lifestyles and as such we were looking forward to an activity filled holiday. While this is not something we would typically associate with Kefallonia we were certainly not disappointed. Both of us were very surprised to find a wide range of options available to us within a short distance from the villa. Everything from scuba diving in the crystal clear waters to hiking in the mountains is all within a short distance from villa Amelia and is a must for anyone with a sense of adventure. A nearby bike rental service offers a biking tour of the island and comes highly recommended. For the “sporty” among you the quiet countryside roads of Metaxata offer the perfect location for a cool evening run. Alternatively for those with young children the nearby beaches and villa pool offer the perfect location to relax and unwind. Villa Amelia is a perfect base for those in search of an activity filled holiday or simply just a tranquil place to relax. I must thank the villa owners who were thoroughly professional and a pleasure to deal with. The only problem with our stay is that it was too short.

Villa Amelia, Kefalonia - A Beautiful Place!

Villa Amelia is a lovely, homely villa which is situated in a peaceful spot overlooking the mountains and pastures where sheep come with their shepherd and his dog to graze. Villa Amelia accommodated 3 adults and a small child very nicely and could easily cater for 2 couples and 2 or 3 children. It is very well maintained with gardener, pool cleaner and housemaid which keeps the place spik and span. The BBQ area at the villa was an especially nice place to sit and chill in the evening if we weren't going out, the views are wonderful. For the BBQ, you can find the day's catch sailing into Agostoli every morning but you should get there before 9am so as not to be disappointed. The sea bass we got there was the best that we've tasted. The location of Villa Amelia was absolutely perfect. Whilst the villa is set well away from the main roads to ensure peace and quiet, everything was in easy reach. Agostoli, the capital was a pleasant 10 minutes drive away and we went there regularly for our food supplies and to buy fresh oranges from a roadside van on the way. Use the villa's juicer on these - highly recommended! There were so many great beaches within 5 or 10 minutes drive from Villa Amelia. Our favourites were Lourdas and various beaches at Lassi. St Thomas was perfect for its fishing spot in the turquoise waters but there are lots and it was great fun to drive the coast and explore. If you travel a bit further you can see the amazing Myrtos beach and the quaint and beautiful harbour town of Assos which is well worth a visit as is the Mellisani cave - beautiful! There were no shortage of decent tavernas locally either with The Olive Tree & Byron's being our favourites in Metaxata. You must try the Yiouvetsi in Byron's! We enjoyed eating lunch at the restaurant next to the nearby castle too - great views, food and friendly service - as is standard everywhere on this island! Although the villa has internet, if you need superfast broadband, the best place to go for WiFi is either Agostoli or the nearby Preview bar which overlooks the island of Zakinthos. Go there and enjoy a nice Frappe in the shade! The owners and housekeepers of Villa Amelia were very friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with and we would like to thank them very much for their hospitality.
