Awarded the prestigious EnjoyEngland 4 Star Gold Award 2011-2017 for quality accommodation and customer service, Town End Farm and its adjoining cottages are situated on the edge of the ancient village of Crowcombe in the heart of the Quantock Hills, the first area in Britain designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is a footpath directly opposite the farm entrance which leads right up to the top of the hills and across the surrounding countryside which has changed very little from the days when it inspired the romantic poets Coleridge and Wordsworth. Just a few minutes walk will take you into the heart of the village, where you will find the village church, shop with Post Office and also the excellent pub, The Carew Arms. The cottages are tastefully decorated throughout. Each has a separate garden and guests also have access to the owners large gardens and paddocks. We have tame miniature ponies and sheep grazing in our paddocks.
On the ground floor of Flora’s Barn there is a twin bedded room with French doors, and a shower room with enclosed shower, basin and loo. On the first floor there is large combined kitchen, dining and living area which has cathedral windows to the whole of the West side with wonderful views of the surrounding hills and beautiful sunsets. There are French doors leading to a small decked terrace with a few steps down to the cottage garden. There is a further double bedroom with king-size iron bed and an en-suite bathroom with a caste iron roll-top bath with shower attachment and basin and loo. The property has full CH and a log burner – we supply a basket of logs for the start of your holiday.
Included: hob/stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, iron/ironing board, internet access, central heating, shared tumble dryer, high chair & cot, secure bike store and use of bike carriers for cars.

An amazing place, extremely well equipped and the hosts were fantastic. Great location with lots to do. We are already planning our next stay. Do not miss this little gem.
We loved staying at Flora's Barn. We had everything and more than we could wish for, comfortable beds and the best showers (even hot water bottles!). The views from the sitting room are wonderful. The kids (8 and 11) loved the games barn and feeding the horses. Bruce and Jaqui thought of everything...and they even posted to us a few items that we left behind!
We hope to return to Flora's Barn again!

Lisa, Jonathan and their two sons were a lovely family and a delight to have around.
They had travelled from Scotland to visit family and friends in our area.
They made full use of the games barn and walked their dog regularly on The Quantocks.
We would welcome them back.

The best cottage we have stayed in
The Old Bakery was perfect- lots of character, beautifully decorated, really well equipped, a gorgeous private garden in which we were served scones and jam on arrival. A beautiful setting, plus a really good games room and animals as an added bonus. The pictures here don't do the cottage justice!
