This is a cosy end terrace cottage which sleeps 3, situated in St. Michaels; with shops and pubs on the doorstep it is also 1 mile outside the beautiful Kent town of Tenterden. Tenterden is a very attractive small market town with plenty of independent shops and small cafes, two supermarkets, banks and a choice of pubs and restaurants. The attractive High Street is a tree lined avenue which has an abundance of historic buildings to gaze at including a fabulous 11th century church. The property is ideally situated to explore the wide variety of activities that the Kent and Sussex coast and countryside offer from the Cinque Port towns of Hastings, Rye and Hythe to the main county towns of Tunbridge Wells and Canterbury. There are several National Trust properties nearby including the impressive Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, Scotney Castle, Bodiam Castle and Smallhythe Place. Moreover, there are a number of easy walks from the doorstep as well as water based activities at Rye and Newenden. The nos. 2, 1 and 18 national network cycle paths pass nearby and the area is home to a number of keen cycling clubs. The property benefits from off road parking and an enclosed garden to the rear with good quality garden furniture. The sitting room has a TV and DVD plus wood burning stove (some logs provided). The kitchen has an oven, hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, small fridge freezer and washing machine plus dining table and chairs. Upstairs, the advantages of the main bedroom are a king-size double bed in a generous space with attractive views to the front of the property. The second bedroom is a cosy single. The bathroom is well appointed with a shower over the bath, washbasin and toilet. There is broadband WiFi at the cottage, login details can be found in the cottage folder. There is gas central heating. Linen/ towels are provided. Children over the age of 5 are welcome and 1x small dog can be considered for a small additional charge. Please do not smoke in the property. Whilst we pride ourselves on our already high level of cleanliness and hygiene at No.4 Bardens Row, for your own peace of mind, we have reviewed our practices due to Covid-19 and have implemented the following additional procedures; • Hand sanitiser is placed at both entry and exit points at the front and back doors. Please use this when returning to the cottage in addition to washing your hands. • There is antibacterial liquid soap for hand washing and we would encourage you to do this whenever returning to the cottage. • In addition to the thorough clean the cottage receives between guests, all ‘high touch’ areas such as light switches, door handles, handrails, plugs, keys, television remotes etc. are prioritised and receive additional disinfecting. • Cleaners use full PPE when preparing the cottage for your stay. • All soft furnishings are sprayed with Dettol Disinfectant Spray

The Host was very helpful. Once the problem with the key safe was solved. The Cottage was lovely. It was well equipped and very comfortable. My only comment would be that the Cottage was cold on arrival and there was insufficient information as to how it worked. Overall we where very satisfied and would be happy to stay there again.
Really pretty cottage in a lovely location; close enough to everything whilst remaining nice and quiet.
The cottage had everything I needed for a short stay with my dog. Lots of lovely walks nearby and plenty to see and do in the local area.
We were delighted with the lovely cottage in St. Michael’s Tenterden. It was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. During our stay, there were so many places of interest to explore within a short distance of the cottage.
We had a lovely stay here. It was clean and welcoming. We had a bit of trouble getting the heat started and Helen was there within 15 minutes to fix it.
Close to Romney Marsh the cottage was very clean and well-equipped with most of the basics (salt, pepper, oil, kitchen roll etc) at least enough to get us started. We though Helen a generous and easy-going host.

I’m so glad you both enjoyed your stay and I hope you managed to revisit all the places you had planned. Hopefully we will get the chance to host you again in the future. Best wishes, Helen and Peter.
Lovely comfortable cottage, great location close to centre of village. Clean and well looked after, tasty welcome pack of scones and clotted cream, nice little garden. Handy for lots of local attractions. Would definitely consider re booking.
Lovely little cosy cottage, well situated to stay in and around Tenterden or venture further afield. Well equipped with everything we needed and thoughtful provisions of milk and cake on arrival. Helen was very responsive to my questions prior to arrival.
A lovely stay and will definitely return in the future
My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting a local winery. The house was absolutely gorgeous and looked exactly like the photos. There was even the added bonus of some mini cupcakes being left for us. There are a couple of local pubs super close by as well. Would definitely stay here again!
Very comfortable cottage in quiet but convenient location. We had a minor plumbing problem which was swiftly dealt with by the friendly and helpful owner. More than happy to recommend the cottage, the town of Tenterden and the surrounding countryside. We hope to return soon!
The cottage was lovely, in a great location, walking distance from the centre of Tenterden, either over the fields or along the road. Tenterden is a nice village/small town with some excellent restaurants (we loved Montelbano's). The cottage is great as a base for exploring Kent and East Sussex. Would certainly consider returning

So pleased you enjoyed your stay and loved the area as much as we do. Look forward to seeing you again in the future.
A well laid out wee cottage with everything you need. Quiet despite being in a terrace. No noise from outside at night. Felt safe. Easy access to lovely Tenterden and surrounding area. Good, off street parking.
Super clean super well equipped super everything. We LOVED staying here. The scones on arrival were so appreciated. Thank you.
Sweet little garden with table and chairs. Perfect for the recent very hot weather.
Easy access to many nearby attractions.
From first entering the property we felt completely at home. We were impressed with the very high standard of decor. It was very cosy and comfortable and very well equipped. Everything had been thought of --and more. We had a very relaxing break. Superb.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your cosy, warm cottage, it was so homely and we appreciated the tulips, cakes and milk. We even sat out with a cuppa in the garden for a little while! We would certainly return. Thank you.
What a welcome !
The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully warm and there was even logs to use for the log burner .
In the kitchen we had milk, daffodils, scones, jam and even clotted cream.
The cottage was quiet and perfectly located for Tenterden and Rye . Ashford outlets are less than half an hour away . O will definitely be back
We were 3 adults in Kent for a wedding and having stayed at this property before we were so pleased to find it was available for our required dates. This is the perfect place. It is so clean and tidy. Helen is the perfect host and answered queries within a very short space of time. The property is so comfortable and there is everything you could want. We cannot recommend this prooerty highly enough. Thanks Helen and you know we'll be back again!
Wow! cosy, relaxing, well equipped and so clean! Great location!
So cosy and relaxing. Pics don't do it justice! 2+dog stayed. Location is amazing; pub, chinese, chippy and pizza/kebab shop minutes walk away. Also, flat, 1.5 ml mostly paved ex-railway walk to tenterteden which had great shops/vibe/brewery/steam railway/museum/eateries. Cleanest holiday cottage I have ever stayed in (Kim&Aggie disciple)! And really well equipped. We do this twice a year and this cottage is one of our joys! Pssst don't tell anyone else...❤️
