Comfortable 2 bedroom flat located in the heart of Stornoway close to Castle Grounds entrance and only 5 minutes walk to the town centre. Recently refurbished and modernised with smart TV, wireless internet, washing machine, tumble drier, fridge and separate freezer. New high comfort mattresses and blackout blinds along with an updated shower room. Ideal base to explore the island with plenty of private parking outside flat.
Our flat offers guests a convenient base to explore the island but yet a central location to enjoy modern amenities. Just 5 minutes walk to the town centre with all its cafe's, bars and shops; 1 minutes walk to the Castle Ground entrance; 10 minutes walk to the museum at the Lews Castle; 3 minutes walk to the Bayhead swing and skate park; 10 minutes walk to the supermarket; and only 3 minutes walk to the harbour. There is plenty private parking at the flat for up to 3 cars but if you have travelled by foot then the ferry terminal is around about 10 minutes walk from the flat.
The kitchen is well equipted with a double electric oven, grill and hob. A modern microwave, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker, and sink with draining board. Full set of cuttlery, sharp knives, pans, oven proof dishes, cooking spoons, ladle, fish slice etc.
A dining table and 4 chairs are included in the flat. A baby/child seat is also available with tray for younger guests.
The flat has 2 bedrooms with the larger equipped with a double bed, dressing table and blackout blinds. The other bedroom comes with bunk beds that are suitable for adults as well as children. All the mattresses have been upgraded to superior comfort models. An additional pull out bed is located underneath the bunks and can be used to accommodate a further guest. We can supply a cot free of charge upon request. Bedding is supplied for all beds but not for the cot so please bring your own baby bedding.
The living area has 2 comfortable leather sofas on either side of the fireplace. A large 42" smart TV with paid Netflix account so hopefully you'll be spoilt for choice on what to watch.
The flat has its own front door and you have full access. Guests can access the property using the security box at the apartment front door which holds the main door key - the code is provided via email prior to your stay.
I am contactable at any time by phone or email and will only attend the property during your stay if requested to do so. Other than that you will have full privacy for your stay. There is no meet and greet at the property as we allow the flexibility to check in any time after 3pm.

We couldn’t have asked for a better location, perfect for walking to local restaurants and shops, and a great home base for exploring all of the Isle of Lewis and Harris. The apartment was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the beds were very comfortable. We can't recommend this place highly enough!

The owners provided a ton of helpful information but respected our privacy. Location cannot be beat and lots of space in the flat. Very clean and nice homey touches. Would definitely stay again!
A great little flat, good location and no shortage of parking, The flat is perfect for a couple or family with a couple of kids. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, nicely equipped and very comfortable.Some nice little touches, include a couple of beers and some chocolates awaiting on your arrival. I can't fault it and would definitely stay there again the next time I'm visiting Lewis.

The host was amazing, he made us feel like his mate.
Literally 2 mins off the Calmac ferry finds yourself at Bayhead, off road parking and very easy walking of local shops, cafes and restaurants. Well laid out appartment has everything you need and more. ‘Welcome pack’ is a really appreciated touch. Lews Castle grounds just across road/harbour has some good walks and view of Stornoway. Thanks guys, we’ll be back
Super clean, super comfortable, with everything you would need to relax after a day exploring the beautiful islands of Lewis and Harris. I would highly recommend this property. The owners are exceptional and just seem to have a knack for creating the perfect holiday accomodation. We have also spent time at the property they own next door to this. Whichever property you elect to spend your holidays nights at you are in for a real treat.

Restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. Appartement itself has enough room for a party of four with all amenities needed for self catering.

Perfect base for exploring Stornoway. Lovely hosts and additional fireside treats add a nice touch. Very clean and quiet accommodation in a central location.
Easy and quick communications with the owners made this rental a breeze. Super easy to find (although google maps took us to the wrong street - but not far).
Susie was a fantastic host who ensured we were taken care of with LOADS of unexpected extras and plenty of advice on where to visit (more on top of our list) .
Rooms were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we could have wanted - plus some!
I’d highly recommend 14C Bayhead. I’m sure we’ll be back!

Super handy base , right in town centre so ideal for non drivers. Flat was well equipped and hosts had left lovely welcome touches. Beds were really comfortable.
This apartment and the hosts were over the top fantastic. The location was excellent for walking to everything. The safety of parking right in front of the unit was appreciated. The apartment was stocked with everything needed to make our stay so easy. The McLeod's were very attentive to make our vacation memorable in the best possible way. I feel so fortunate to have found this lovely home away from home.
