This two bedroomed, semi-detached bungalow has an enclosed garden to the rear and an open plan garden to rhe side and front, all with views towards Latrigg, Grisedale Pike and Skiddaw. The property is an ideal base for those wishing to explore the Northern Lakes with the convenience of the town a short stroll away.

Lovely and cosy bungalow with everything you need for an enjoyable stay, lovely garden, very useful to have a lockable gate to stop my cockapoo from getting onto road, Keswick town centre just a short stroll away, I would highly recommend staying at The Rowans.

Great base

The Rowans was a great base for exploring the lakes. The house was amazingly equipped, especially the kitchen, and the books, games and DVDs were a nice bonus to have. The garden is secure so was safe for our dog to use. We had problems with the shower, but the owner was lovely and got someone out to us really quickly. I’d absolutely recommend and we’d happily stay again!

Lovely warm comfortable holiday home

Great location only 10/15 minutes walk into Keswick and loads of walks around the town. Lovely to get back to a warm,clean, welcoming and comfortable holiday home. Please note however that the check in details were non existent!!!! We had to chase the key code details the day before our holiday from Cottages.com…..not good at all. This stopped us from giving this property 5 stars.

Brilliant Accommodation communication with Vrbo useless.

The property was excellent but we had no information from Vrbo on confirmation of payment, property access etc. We managed to get help from a third party who confirmed there was a common issue with encrypted emails from Vrbo not getting to customers.

We loved the property and it’s location. The property was perfect for the three of us and the walk into Keswick was less than 10mins. We have stayed in this area before and would without hesitation hire this property again. We inadvertently left a couple of books in the house and the owner was fantastic in getting them back to us. The house was lovely and warm with a fantastically clean kitchen and bathroom, the beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of comfy seating in the lounge. There was also a large parking space that easily accommodated our camper van.

The ROWENS was a lovely place for our holiday. Can't really fault it, if we had to be picky the drive is a little narrow for a larger car to enable driver or passenger to step out easily, but as i say its being picky.
