Enjoy wildlife spotting from this detached lodge, with red squirrels, hares, birds and roe deer all known to live in the surrounding area.. 2 steps to entrance (ramp access available on request).

Bedroom 3: Bunk (3ft) Beds
Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and super fast fibre Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request.. Garden with decked area, garden furniture, gas BBQ and fire pit. Bike store. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a fenced pond in the grounds, 20 yards away.. Larchwood, a detached timber lodge, is situated on the edge of a forest, with the towering larches and unspoilt woodland offering a haven for wildlife, including red squirrels, hares, roe deer and many species of birds. Guests will delight in enjoying the entertaining antics of their bushy tailed neighbours! Watching the busy red squirrels provides an engrossing pastime, and nuts and seeds can be found in the shed to feed them with. In a prime position, overlooking Duke’s Pond (a medieval watering hole for Drovers) in a small, private development, Larchwood offers well-presented good quality accommodation and the opportunity to feel close to nature in idyllic surroundings. The countryside surrounding the lodge is unspoilt, with Greystoke Forest on one side and stunning views to Blencathra on the other. There are gardens to the front, rear and side of the property, as well as a generous decking area, offering ample outdoor space to enjoy the picturesque surroundings. Nearby are the charming villages of Greystoke, Caldbeck, Mungrisdale and Hesketh Newmarket, with their own pubs and local shops. Sitting between Keswick, Penrith, Carlisle and Ullswater, Larchwood offers an ideal base for exploring the northern Lake District and Cumbria. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
