Causeway Cottage Portballintrae is our private holiday home and we have invested much love and time in making it perfect for us and for those whom we enjoy sharing it with. We have many guests each year, many of whom come again and again. They love the area and and they love our holiday home which we maintain to a very good standard. We think that the furnishings are attractive and comfortable and our other happy guests think the same. I find the sitting room seating to be very comfortable for watching TV, chatting with friends or dozing in front of the open fire after a long walk along the beach. The style of the seating is a matter of taste and opinion and we only get positive comments about the comfort level. I agree that the adult sized top bunk bed may not be suitable for some people but they are loved by children and we have regular three couple visitors in their 60's who are very happy with bunk beds. The sleeping arrangements are clearly detailed in the property description so I am upset that Dawn did not consider this when making her booking and missed out on telling us about the positive things which could be said about our holiday home. There are so many lovely positive things that could be said about our holiday home. The roaring fire in the winter months. The country views from the living area are stunning. It is beautifully decorated by my wife, My cleaner Tracey keeps it very fresh and clean for every visitor. The kitchen is very well equipped with every utensil and gadget needed for Cordon Blue cookery with enough table ware and glasses to host a dinner party for 10. All in all it is a home from home and a lovely haven of peace only 5 minutes from the sea.
