About Josh Snyder
This Cabin was moved from Poteau in the summer of 2013 and was finished remodeling in 2014. It was bought from a 92 old lady that remember at a young teenager climbing the ladder when it was a hay barn. She told us it was over 100 years old and was glad to see it getting saved. Moving it to Black Fork form Poteau was an amazing task with cutting many trees back, building new roads and the characters that moved it could have been on a TV show for there amazing humor and work ethic! The Cabin now sits where another cabin previously sat that was probably close to 1880s. it was feel in a snow storm in 2010 and the only remains are some barn wood inside the current cabin and the smoke house or my grandma thinks chicken coop that is still currently next to the cabin. There is another cabin on the property only the exploring guests fine. It is probably close to 1880s and crazy to see that probably a family of 10 or 15 living in that place.

Relaxing stay out in the woods
We throughly enjoyed our visit to this cabin. We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces, the porch and the campfire area. The setting along the river is beautiful and the sounds of the water relaxing. We even pulled off an amazing thanksgiving meal in the well equipped kitchen! We will definitely be back!
Very relaxing and wonderful
We were looking for a secluded, quiet, and quaint place to unwind for a week from our busy nursing jobs. What we got was exactly that. Beautiful little cabin in the middle of nowhere with plenty of quiet and lots of trees. The river rushing by sounded so relaxing and the property was the perfect size. If you’re looking for a secluded and quiet cabin with beautiful scenery, this is the place. We cannot wait to be back again one day. Thank you, Josh and family!
Breath taking view!!
This is a beautiful place to relax and unwind! Sitting on the back deck you can hear the river flowing and enjoy the wildlife. It rained pretty much the whole time we were there so we didn't get to explore the property as much as we wanted, but we will definitely be going back to do so!!
Ready to stay again
This property was gorgeous, comfortable, and offered many amenities. My husband and I enjoyed a pleasant evening and immediately began discussing our return to this cabin in the future. Close access to nature and scenic views including easy entry to the Black Fork River. Sooooo much fun!
Urban Farmhouse meets Barnwood Builders
This cabin in the woods was the perfect place for my husband and I to relax and unwind. We wanted to have a quiet, spiritual retreat and this lived up to our expectations. The décor and the surroundings were beautiful. I loved being able to unplug for a week with no TV, internet or cell phones interrupting the peaceful tranquility. The fishing was great and the deer were fascinating to watch. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
It is a beautiful place . The rustic atmosphere with upto date interior. Clean
The whole trip was great Josh got back to us right away if any questions. Enjoyed the river and the fire pit was best. Love the cabin. My nieces and nephew want to come again next summer. I was happy no WiFi made everyone play games or outside but kids want some. Pac-Man I think Gave out but no problem with us. Thank you for allowing us to use your home.
