Great apartment in perfect location
We just returned from a weeklong stay in David's apartment in Le Marais. It was a great choice for our family of four, as the two bedrooms provided ample space for two adults and two children. The kitchen, while small, never left us lacking for anything and we even cooked a few meals at the apartment. The WC and the washroom were separate, which - while typical - took some getting used to but was not a big deal. The living room was very comfortable with a huge window looking out on the neighborhood below.
Speaking of the neighborhood -- this is where the apartment earned five stars for us. The apartment is on a small side street just steps from Rue de Bretagne, which is a lovely and very useful high street with everything you need -- restaurants, cafes, wine stores, groceries, patisseries, a pharmacy -- and allows you to assume the life of a real Parisian. We spent lots of time just exploring the small streets of the neighborhood and didn't run into a lot of tourists -- which is how we like it! The real highlight for us was the lovely park just three blocks away, which was the perfect spot for our children to mingle with locals at the start and end of each day.
The apartment was also an easy walk to several different lines on the Metro, which we used frequently to explore other areas of the city. Overall, we were very happy with the location of this apartment and felt like we couldn't have made a better choice for a family visit to Paris.
I'm so glad you and your family of four enjoyed my apartment, and the neighborhood! I agree you can feel like a local Parisian with the "village" feel of the Le Marais and all the shops, cafes, stores and also the oldest outdoor market in Paris just a block away. And as you say, the Square Du Temple park just down the street is a great place to hang out and just relax, or play ping pong!
I enjoyed hosting you. Feel free to come back any time!
Good home base for exploring Paris
Stayed here for 6 nights with a family of 4 (2 adults / 2 children) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location is convenient to multiple Metro stops, and neighborhood has plenty to offer in terms of food options. Combo washer/dryer was great as it allowed us to minimize the amount of clothes we needed to pack, given we were traveling through Europe for 2.5 weeks.
Glad to hear you and your family enjoyed my apartment and the location!
I enjoyed hosting you.
Great pied a Terre
We spent a wonderful three days in Paris. The apartment was very functional and met all our needs. The location was great for neighborhood walking and all forms of transportation to take us further afield. David and Frédéric were very helpful and gave us assistance and understood our needs. Would stay again in a heart beat.
Thanks so much for being my guests and glad to hear you had a wonderful time.
Will be happy to host you again any time!
Amazing space in the perfect location!
Had an absolutely wonderful time in this apartment that served as my home for the past 4 months. Prime location in a safe and beautiful part of Paris. Sad to leave, but will cherish the memories made here forever!
So happy to hear you had a wonderful time in my apartment! I agree Le Marais is a prime location one of the best parts of Paris, with a "village feel" and the apartment is located just off Rue Bretagne with many restaurants, cafes, shops, the old outdoor market, yet it is situated on a quiet street. Glad to hear you will cherish the memories!
Located in the heart of Le Marais, the hip and lively quarter of Paris, near Rue de Bretagne for shops, restaurants, and cafes, and 3 minute walk to Paris oldest outdoor market, Marché des Enfants-Rouges. 4 minute walk to nearest metro station to take you to all top Paris sights. Many travelers find this to be the most desirable location in Paris!
