Esta es una encantadora casa de campo de ladrillos construida como una réplica de una estación de maestros de la estación de trenes en la que es fresca en verano y advierte en invierno. Ubicado a sólo 7 kilómetros del centro de Bemdigo en cinco acres de arbusto. La casa tiene 2 dormitorios, sala de estar, estudio, cocina y baño grande. Ideal para un fin de semana o corta estancia para visitar académicos. Los huéspedes deben traer sus propias toallas y ropa de cama, pero, edredones y almohadas de dotación.

A very peaceful location that is only a short drive to most attractions, wineries, and shops. The attention to detail of period architecture and construction is praise worthy indeed. Everything is actually better than described. We'll be back for sure.

This lovely old cottage is set in a gorgeous rural setting with easy driving access to the local supermarket and regional city of Bendigo. We had a lovely 3 night stay at the cottage. The fire created a cosy space. Whilst the bathroom is spacious the shower is a very tight space however this didn’t impact our enjoyment of our stay. A highlight was a visit from a very big kangaroo who wasn’t at all bothered by us as he lounged around on a grassy mound near the shed.

Cute cosy mudbrick home in bushy setting

We had a lovely stay in this gorgeous cottage relaxing around the open fire. Easy drive to surrounds - Bendigo and Castlemaine. Christine was a fantastic host; promptly replying to our enquiries and letting us have a late check out. Hope to return soon.

Fabulous Cottage

We loved our stay in this fabulous cottage. Wonderful peaceful rural location just a short drive to Bendigo. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind this is it. Comfy beds and a great shower. Yes it is cold in autumn/winter but there are heaters and just bring a blanket!! No the wifi isn’t perfect, but bring a book or game and have a digital detox! Will definitely be back!

A quiet, cosy (once we got the fire going) two night stay. The beds were comfy, water hot, lovely setting and grat location - we did three local bush walks.

Peaceful & unique

This was the second time staying at this peaceful cottage in natural bushland in the prettiest part of Bendigo. Love it!

Peaceful bush setting

Quaint home with loads of character. We loved our stay. Kangaroos bounced by in the morning. Cozy warm fireplace at night. So peaceful and quiet!

The reason for the two stars.Bathroom no mirrors.Floors not clean [around toilet].Shower to small taps in the way.Kitchen ware not clean.The only wine glass was cracked .Dishwasbrush in bad condition .When using the cooktop and a view orther items the fuses were going.Poor lichting everywhere.In the lounge under the corver of the couch was very dirty and old...Kind Regards .Hans Kroese .

Quiet and peaceful

The cottage is set an a quiet, natural bush setting. It was about fifteen minutes to drive to Bendigo so it was a great place to stay and explore Bendigo without being in the busy city. The cottage itself was cute and rustic. The fireplace was nice to sit in front of and there was even some firewood there for us to use. The only downside was that the double bed wasn’t comfortable for me and my partner, other than that it was a wonderful stay.

Pretty good

We enjoyed the quiet bush setting and sitting out on the front verandah listening to the birds and enjoying the sunshine. It was just lovely. The Cottage was very clean and well provided with everything except sheets and towels. Otherwise very comfortable and the thick mud brick walls were a good insulation to keep it cool inside.Ideal in the summer for sure. Heating also provided. Internet connection was excellent. The connection was in the cupboard in second bedroom and cord plugged into the power board near the lamp. A most pleasant stay. Thankyou

Strathfieldsaye Cottage

We arrived at the property 3 hours after check in time and discovered that someone was already using the premises. There were personal possessions on the floor of one bedroom and the bed was unmade. The bathroom shower recess along with the hand basin and toilet had not been cleaned. There was a laptop on the floor of the lounge room being charged.The rubbish bin in the kitchen had not been emptied, There were dirty dishes left on the sink. While making a cup of tea a large cockroach ran across the benchtop and during that evening we killed two more.There was a double garage but it was unusable as one side was permanently closed and the other side was full of wood and junk.Very unprofessional host as this should have been sorted before we checked in.Would not recommend this place.

Bush getaway - a true gem

What a delightful place to stay! Set on a bush block, the cottage is comfortable and well-equipped. Although travelling for work, it was lovely to step outside amidst the birdsong during the daytime. In the evening, the air was alive with the sound of frogs, and even a brief glimpse of a kangaroo with her joey following. I certainly hope to return at some stage.

Rustic little cottage

Absolutely beautiful little cottage. So relaxing. Set back off the road enough to make it so peaceful and quiet. Easy to use fireplace to take the chill off at night. Will be back here again 100%

A rustic country retreat

its all that i wanted, a private space to relax and do nothing, Its not fancy but that was nice as it fit into the ambience of the experience, luxury is for expensive inner city, this was Rustic and charming. I would add some extra cooking facilities (a small BBQ) but we made do.
