About Lyndsey Greenland
Hi! I'm Lyndsey and glad to be your host! I grew up in the State College area. I'm a Penn State Alumni and love all things PSU. I'm a HUGE football fan and love attending PSU wrestling matches as often as I can. My family and I love to travel, our most memorable getaway was a motorcycle trip to Sturgis, SD. We had an amazing time exploring South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming. I hope you enjoy your stay here in beautiful Happy Valley and most importantly.....WE ARE!
Lyndsey Greenland purchased this House in 2016
Why Lyndsey Greenland chose Port Matilda
Our log home and surrounding property is our little oasis in the woods. Your stay with us will be on 120 acres nestled in the mountains, all of which is privately owned and operated by our family. It's just a short drive from our permanent residence in State College and all the things we love like downtown State College, Beaver Stadium and the Bryce Jordan Center. Our home is warm and inviting as you enter the main floor which includes 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathroom, large dining space, open concept living room and kitchen with large granite island and a cozy fireplace to sit around and relax. The upper level leads to a wrap around deck that offers amazing views of the mountains beyond and the pond and pavilion below. The lower level opens up to a second living room and another full kitchen also with granite countertop and an island. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom on this floor and a bonus area in the living room that includes a pool table. Our home is located off of a private lane with ample parking. There’s plenty of space for RV or camper parking as well! We do have additional guest housing on the property.

We had our daughters wedding at Rolling Rails Lodge, and stayed in the Delaney house over the wedding weekend. Beautiful place to celebrate family and love. Shaun and his wife run a top notch “home away”. Beautiful house, surroundings, and view of PA’s beautiful mountains. Best weekend for all of us!!!! Thanks so much, and we hope to visit again in the future!!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Secluded peaceful getaway
Exceptional Property. The whole house is beautiful. Has all the needed amenities.
Not giving 5 stars because the one bedroom downstairs is quite noisy and small without a closet. The other lower level bedroom can also hear the furnace/air conditioner (but not like the bunk bedroom) and also has no closet in the room. Would not recommend using the bunk room if at all possible.
Also, there is someone living on the property (above the large garage), which was not disclosed. Should let potential renters know th er re is someone within 100 yards of the house and that they are on site.
Thanks for the review Lori. We are looking into why the unit caused so much noise as that has never been brought up before. I’m sending you a private message to follow up.
Warm and wonderful.
Rented this beautiful home for my daughter's PSU Dec graduation. 8 family members stayed over night and addition 6 family members came for celebration meal afterwards. Though weather was gloomy this house was warm and views were still awesome for family photos. House had plenty of room so you could escape that one family member if you needed. (Which was probably me). Plenty of bathrooms as well, which was a huge help with 5 females trying to get ready for graduation. Setting was beautiful, when first pulling up was greeted by lots of deer. The 2 kitchens are an added bonus especially if feeding a large crowd. I highly recommend this place. Well kept.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay
The property was spacious, clean, and well equipped. There were seven of us who stayed the entire visit, and there was room for more. One evening we entertained an additional eight people for dinner and games, and there was plenty of room for all. I highly recommend the property, and would stay again if there is a need.
Beautiful property - clean and well maintained!
We found this log home to be perfect for our family gathering and Penn State weekend. It is very well equipped with plenty of televisions, a game room, and two kitchens! The close proximity to Beaver Stadium was great and everyone had a wonderful time.
Wonderful house and property
Stayed here for a reunion and couldn't have been happier. This property is close enough to the State College "action," but far enough that you can relax and enjoy the scenery and quiet. The outdoor spaces are great for gathering and there are plenty of rooms, beds, and bathrooms inside. We had intended to do more things in town, but found ourselves wanting to stay at the property longer. The owner(s) were super helpful and attentive.
I highly recommend this place!
We are within walking distance to Skytop Mountain Golf Club and Bald Eagle Creek, and a short drive to North Atherton Street with numerous restaurants and shopping centers. We are 10 minutes from PSU campus, Bryce Jordan Center, Pegula Ice Arena and downtown State College which has several taxi and Uber services available.
