Subiaco is a vibrant, eclectic suburb full of intriguing boutiques, art galleries, markets and charming cottages.
Close proximity to Perth’s CBD and King’s Park, pretty Federation style homes, tree-lined streets, lively nightlife and urban lifestyle combine to make Subiaco one of Perth’s most desirable districts. Bounded by West Perth, Shenton Park, and Wembley, Subiaco’s young professional family demographic and a profusion of cafes, restaurants, and boutiques, manages to preserve a low-key community feel, and picturesque appeal.
Hay Street cleverly blends a shopper’s heaven, with a stylish, community feel. Here you’ll find the latest designer outfit or, strolling down a backstreet, you’ll find a chic modern café or art gallery. Subiaco is simply a cosmopolitan culinary delight. Residents support a range of eateries, with Subiaco’s streets lined with tempting options for every budget and taste.
The Subiaco Farmer’s Market comes alive each Saturday morning where the vibe is reminiscent of a French street scene. Families and dogs jostle and laugh whilst live music plays in the background and the smell of crepes and coffee tantalize the senses. Get down early as specialty foods, including gluten-free bread and cakes, and additive-free preserves and produce, all sell out quickly.
There’s no shortage of green parklands, playgrounds and community facilities, helping to attract young families into the area.

Perfect location, very pretty and comfortable home
We had a wonderful couple of days at this lovely Subi cottage. We are in the middle of renovations and it was a perfect and very comfortable break for us and our dogs. For any guests interstate or from overseas, there wouldn't be a more perfect place to stay: comfortable, welcoming, very central - near shops, Kings Park, public transport, restaurants and cafes. If we ever need a break again we would love to come back.

Thank you Kim. It was a pleasure to host you while you were having your renovations being done.
The house is well appointed with some updated features. Appreciated the fire place and gas heater very much. The location is very central in Subiaco with bus stops, major shopping centers and train stations within walking distance. Small hiccup with the parking however, it was resolved quickly.
We enjoyed staying at this old style cottage very cosy and spacious for two people.
Water leaks under the shower door wetting everything, but they do provide plenty of towels so you can clean up.
A large rug under the squeaky bed may help.
Quiet neighbourhood with lots of shady trees.
Cute cottage best describes the accommodation. It has wifi & a dishwasher no smart tv or such. It was perfect for what I wanted. Walking distance to many cafes & Kings Park. If you have a car there’s only street parking & you need to move every 2 hours to avoid fines but that worked ok for me. Property manager, Peter was easy to communicate with & very helpful. I enjoyed my stay exactly what I needed. Thank you Vicky
Whilst the property was conveniently localed to the village it was grossly in need of cleaning, cobwebs mould and an up grade. The second bed was impossible to sleep in rather like a mattress on the floor. I would not rate this property high rather very low for the promotion it presented
Lovely Cottage, poor maintenance &cleaning & presentation-no air conditioning in bedrooms,
Disappointed with Peter’s response to request for Fans for bedrooms- air conditioning not sufficient in just lounge. Bedrooms so hot, it was unbearable to sleep. Peter sent old filthy pedestal fan, dirty with cobwebs that did not even work!! Were then told by Peter “ that he was told it worked that morning, leave it out on front verandah & someone would look at it after work. He was sorry the Uber Driver did not clean the blades!!(what) Then Friday night I sent Peter a message to say fan still there& he replied “that he could not help now as he was in hospital”
And that was that- so my sister went out the next day & bought a fan - really not good enough service at all.
Bathroom floor flooded whenever we had a shower, no fall on floor & tiny drain could not cope with water flow.
Cobwebs everywhere hanging off wall pictures, windows filthy, could not see out of back sliding door( we cleaned track of dirt as could not open door)+ cleaned security & glass door.
We swept back courtyard & cleaned table & chairs, plus moved dangerous smashed terracotta pots just lying under table.
All of the light fittings are dirty- in kitchen silver track lighting coated in grease & fat, bin area & bins at front overflowing & smelt.
Front verandah chairs, cushions, we had to clean before we could sit down.
The flooring needs to be maintained - I nearly ripped my toenail off from hole in dining room floor, uneven surfaces everywhere.
Door knob off on dining room door, told by Peter previous people
This home is in an excellent location, we were provided everything we needed, and was very clean and comfortable. Communication from the owner was very professional and made us feel very welcome.
Was a great place to spend a couple of weeks, Peter and Edwina were great made you feel at home and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. House has everything you would need and the location is excellent, easy walking distance of Subiaco’s shops and cafes.

Well placed to explore Rokeby Road
Property was very old and requires maintenance. There was a mix up when we arrived, someone else had let themselves into the property, it was eventually sorted but not without a number of phone calls and waiting on the front porch. The beds were very old and uncomfortable. On the 4th morning of our 5 day stay, a Saturday, the hot water stopped working. All considered we decided to leave, I had to have a cold shower that morning. I contacted the owners that morning by direct text message and via the Stayz email system advising we had left and asked for a refund for 2 days. No response was received. I will follow up the payment via our credit card supplier. Although well placed in a nice street I couldn’t recommend this property.
Situated in a street so you can conveniently walk to the many restaurants and main center. Clean tidy and if you need space to spread out if you have to combine work as well as pleasure this fits the bill. If rustic is your vibe this is the place.. Both Peter and Roland have been great Hosts.
Cozy cottage situated close to coffee shops and restaurants (5min walk). Everything you need is in the cottage and internet connection is very good too.

Cleanliness
We were very amazed at how dirty it was. I had to clean the bin before putting the bin liner in with the only cloth that was there. Then had to buy more cloths as that one was so dirty. My daughter had to clean all the benches. It had not been vacuum cleaned as we found lolly pop sticks on the rug.lucky I had a blanket in the car as we didn't feel comfortable sitting on the sofa it looked like it was picked up on the side of the road. The beds were comfortable. But our daughter said she felt sand in hers.the bathroom is very dangerous . The floor tiles are very slippery when wet. And the water runs out under the shower door. No good putting bath mat down it gets to wet. Sorry for this but you should know. Also obviously there must have been flowers in vases. The flowers were taken out but the dirty water was left in. Didn't mind not having flowers but empty the vases and clean them. I am 79 years old and have done a lot of cleaning. And still clean for a lady. So I no what clean is. I really am sorry as I am not a person who likes to complain. But we were not comfortable at all.
We loved our stay in quaint cottage in the beautiful Subiaco, great hosts, short walk to cafe strip
We loved our stay in this quaint cottage in the beautiful Subiaco, we were welcomed with lovely roses, fresh milk. It was clean bright and fresh and the perk of the little outdoor shower was perfect as it was warm weather. The beds were comfortable, and a secure yard for our dog, would definitely stay again thankyou 😊
