About the property

Choose to sleep where Hank Snow himself slept or you can sleep in Jimmie's childhood room with his original furniture. For the other guests there is one more queen room and a room with 2 twin beds for kids or singles. The house also has main floor laundry and a gas fireplace.

The kitchen is fully equipped with new stove, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave. There is also a coffee maker, 4 slice toaster and blender. The supermarket is a short 5 minute drive away and Opryland is an 8 minute ride or 12 minutes to Broadway and the Ryman Auditorium.

The home is located on 2 1/2 quiet, park like acres where you can enjoy the cardinals, robins, finches and occasionally a deer. Hank's original "Rainbow Ranch" barn is still standing in the back yard. In the near future the large heated outdoor pool will be refurbished for the use of our guests.

Sit back with the glow of the fire place and put on a vinyl record and enjoy the music of Hanks friends. People such as Elvis, Marty Robbins, Hank Williams, Merle Haggard and many more.

This house is fresh on the market and we will be adding additional pieces of furniture as we acquire them.

About Sandy & Cal Blakney

Cal grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada where Hank Snow grew up until he moved to Edmonton, Alberta Canada as an adult. I (Sandy) grew up in a small rural town in Alberta and moved to Edmonton as an adult. Cal and I married and we have 3 children and 6 grand children.

Sandy & Cal Blakney purchased this house in 2015

Why Sandy & Cal Blakney chose Madison

We purchased Hank Snow's Ranch because he is Cal's Great Uncle and we wanted it to stay in the family. Uncle Hank lived at the Ranch from 1951 on. We are compiling a collection of Uncle Hank's belongs to start a museum on site.

What makes this house unique

The most unique things about this property is the fact that many of the furnishings are Hank Snow originals. The piano is an original and has been played by Elvis, Moon Mullican and many more. Your experiences in this house will be to sleep in the room where Hank slept or eat breakfast sitting in the chair that Hank sat in. The property is 2 1/2 acres is peaceful and quiet. We love listening to the cardinals, robins, bluebirds and many other birds.

Perfect Stay at the Ranch!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a wonderful stay here at the Ranch for the eclipse weekend. During booking, Sandy was so easy to talk to and work with. Once we arrived, Terry was so helpful and just a phone call away if we needed anything. Everything that we could have needed was in the house. Having the four bedrooms was wonderful because it allowed us to put our kids in separate rooms. Since the house is so large there was also plenty of room for the kids to spread out and play. Everything that we could have needed was supplied which made the stay even easier and more comfortable. The house and grounds were both very clean and well maintained - even the backyard near the barn. I wouldn't recommend opening the barn door though unless you're a serious spider fan - which I am not. :-) We even got to see Hank's bus arrive back at the house for the first time in decades and my kids got to play on the same piano that Elvis did. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I'd highly recommend a stay here!

Very good🎼🎸🎹👍😀🌈🐎

We enjoyed our time at Hank’s Rainbow Ranch. Cal and Sandy are doing a great job of restoring Hank’s home and preserving it for others to see and experience. It was great to listen to several Vinyl Albums on Hank’s stereo. And, tickling the keys of Hank’s piano was fun although Hank and his friends surely made them sound much better!

Besides being a comfortable place to stay, it was very convenient to Ryman Auditorium, The Grand ‘Ole Opry and Ray Stevens’ CabaRay!

Great house, not too far from downtown

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here over New Year's so that we could explore Nashville and see downtown. The house is great, parking for 3+ cars, ample space for people to sleep. there really is a lot of floor space in this place, the pictures do not do it justice. the bedrooms are nice and have enough room to be comfortable. the kitchen was nicely equipped and everything was well-decorated. the huge dining room is a plus, seating for 8 people is just what we needed and it worked out great. overall no complaints, we would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely a unique enjoyable experiance

  • 5 of 5

This was like staying in a museum and the house is a nice tribute to Hank Snow. During our stay we enjoyed a visit to the Grand Ole Opry at the historic Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville. We purchased a pictorial album they were selling at the Opry and Hank Snow had a full page picture in the book! The house was spacious and nicely decorated for Christmas. While in town we were able to visit two restaurants featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives (Arnolds and Athens Family Restaurant) both of which had excellent food. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable experience and will definitely try to book this house again if we vacation in the Nashville area.

Although our purpose of our trip was to go to a concert, as well as sight-seeing--the highlight of our time in Nashville was staying at Hank Snow's Rainbow Ranch. Staying here made the trip 100% more enjoyable and memorable 😀😀😀we will definitely stay here again..
