Relaxing getaway

A very relaxing get away for the family. The property was clean, very quiet, and, communication from the manager was great. Great for families with pets.

Liked it so much we stayed an extra day. Will return to same resort, maybe a different condo just to spice it up.

Quick getaway for Labor Day

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the condo, which is much larger than it appears in the pictures. The balcony was excellent and the view gorgeous. We enjoyed the pool and even though it was Labor Day weekend we were the only ones using it. Assateague Island is stunning. The condo does show some wear, however it was the end of the season so that is to be expected. Loved the large shower with the multi jets. There could be more items in the kitchen for cooking, but we didn't even use any of that. The twin beds are hard as a rock but otherwise the other beds were comfortable. Overall had a great time in the condo.

Senior ladies Chincoteague weekend

Overall the property was as advertised although the furnishings could really use a refresh and the lighting throughout was inadequate particularly for reading. The faucet fixture in the master came off and needs replacing. The twin bed I slept on was awful. Not fit for an adult. Both beds need to be upgraded. Also ceiling fans in all bedrooms would be a great addition. I would not stay in that unit again unless updates were made but I do appreciate the easy process and the service provided. Also it was very nice to be able to accommodate my small dog. However a 150 pet fee for 2 nights was a bit much.

Condo rental

We really enjoyed this rental as the view was great from the second floor and the open floor plan was very nice while being on vacation with kids and a dog in a condo. The elevator was very nice for arrival and departure loading. We were disappointed however that the master bathroom did not have a tub as advertised although the shower was very nice with multiple shower heads and great water pressure. The kitchen was stocked with basic items and all appliances seemed to be clean and working. All of the beds however were less than desirable as the mattress pad in the master needed thrown away and the other mattresses were worn and hard. We probably would not book this property again based on the cleanliness/quality of the beds but we really liked the overall layout and location. Thanks!

October 2022 Stay

The Bourbon Street Shuckers visited for Oysterfest. We have stayed here a few times and enjoy the view and location. The kitchen pots and pans could be updated. We plan to be back in 2023 for Memorial Day! We love the island! The management responded very quickly to our needs!

August 2022 Stay

Loved the beautiful view out of the family room and the master bedroom. The condo was very nice and well appointed. So convenient to shops, restaurants, and downtown. We had a problem with an electrical plug and the electrician came over that same day and was extremely efficient.

September 2021 Stay

The 3 couples who stayed here had a wonderful time fishing, not much catching, 4 wheeling to the beach, and lounging at the pool. We enjoyed the view from the balcony deck also. Many nice evenings sipping wine and bloody marys or gin and tonic. Our only complaints revolve around the lack of comfortable seating in the living room and deck. My brothers stayed in 116 and the had fabulous sofas and deck furniture. Please upgrade this unit likewise and we would stay again.

A Relaxing Get Away

The property was clean and so nice. The balcony provided a beautiful view of the sunsets and a nice quiet place to relax. We enjoyed the walk to the downtown area and visiting all the little shops. I would definitely recommend this property any one looking to get away for a quiet relaxing vacation in the off season. The owner's responses were quick and we loved the fact that our "fur baby" could come along. Thank you for allowing us the use of your beautiful property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed the view,the pool, visits to beach and shopping. Many fun filled afternoons sipping wine, gin and tonic or bloody marys. Evenings spent watching sunsets. We ate at several restaurants. The only problem was the sofas and deck chairs. Please upgrade to that in unit 116 which was utilized by my brothers.

Modern condo by the waterfront

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This spot was perfect for our family. Pet-friendly, kid-friendly (there’s a pool), and incredible sunsets! We loved staying on this side of the island - much quieter and a very short walk to the charming main street. Also walking distance to the grocery store. Having a washer/dryer in the unit was a huge plus. We brought extra pillows and we’re glad we did. The quality of the furniture wasn’t spectacular, but with two kids and two dogs and so much to do around the island, we didn’t have much time to notice. We would stay here again.

Always a wonderful time in Chincoteague!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I love visiting Chincoteague every year. Sunset Bay Villas is one of our favorite places to stay due to the proximity to everything and the nice pool and workout room. This is our 5th year at Sunset Bay and we will not be renting this condo again. It was very dirty and poorly stocked (as far as pans, dishes, etc.). I do not expect it to be stocked like my kitchen at home, but a few decent pans would be nice. And, while I know it is rental, and it is not where most people want their best furniture, at least put a dresser in the room with the twin beds. We will be back to Sunset Bay next summer, but not to this condo.

Condo is very good, but poorly equipped and...

... I’ve never experienced such nickel-and-diming from a property manager. Pros The condo is huge - the bedrooms are all big, and the main living space is quite large. Plenty of room to spread out. The TV is not a very “smart” one that we could figure out (maybe because the WiFi was pretty slow), but there were lots of cable channels. Also, the sunsets in Chincoteague are really out of this world, and there was a really great view from the balcony or walking down below next to the water. It’s also located very convenient to restaurants and shops on Main Street, though unfortunately almost all of them were closed or very limited in hours when we visited in late November. Normally, I could see it would be a great location. Cons The condo has very, very little when it comes to kitchenwares, and what is there is not in good shape. The pans are old and very scratched up, for example. And while the condo seems like a decent deal as priced, they are petty about what I think are very normal elements of renting out a property. Sheets for the bed? An extra fee (and not insignificant). And don’t think that includes towels, because that is also a separate extra charge. And what got me was that even though you get charged a cleaning fee (normal, of course), that extra fee for sheets doesn’t include actually making the beds!! They wanted another fee for that! Then you factor in them giving you only one pack of detergent, not providing antibacterial soap during COVID, etc., and it left a sour taste in my mouth. We rent VRBO properties al the time, and this was definitely the chintziest property management firm we have ever encountered. I also was not super impressed with their communication - they provide a text number for questions but don’t answer after five p.m., and when they did answer, they seemed to give as little information as possible. I just was not impressed, and it really made the experience much less than it could have been.

Worth the drive to Chincoteague

Lovely unit and deck. Elevator was perfect and absolutely needed. The view was nice and surroundings were quiet. Maybe update the couch.

It was OK

While the condo is in a nice location and was relatively clean, the furniture and kitchen supplies are minimal at best. It would be nice if the kitchen had more kitchenware. Additionally, the add did not state that there would be no tv unless you had your own smart tv account.
