  • Lovely old beauty

"This property had no reviews when we selected it, but it was Memorial Day weekend and we booked last minute so we decided to take a risk and it paid off. Everything felt new and clean and fresh....crisp and inviting decor. Homey without overwhelming. Beds were comfortable, linens plush. Kitchen was spare but had more than 4 adults and 2 children needed. Only one full bath, but of course, this is advertised. Enjoyed the front porch. This is a duplex but it was quiet inside...and our neighbors were a large family with many young children. Close and easy walk to the beach. A few beach chairs available for use. Arrived after record rains and there was a strong musty smell coming from the wet basement. We quickly adjusted but I would not recommend this old but lovely home for those with mold allergies or sensitive noses....leave it for the rest of us. I would stay here again."

  • Perfect getaway for family or couples...

"We will always come back here and was effortless. Fran is easy to work with and very accommodating. Plenty of comfort accomodations. Bikes, equipment, furnishings, etc. very cozy and clean! Being so close to Kiptopeke State Park is awesome, within walking distance of the beach, crabbing, biking, kayaking, boating, fishing or just nice walks on the bay side. Within minutes of Cape Charles, approximately 35 minutes from Virginia Beach. Our kids live the proximity and activities near by. We kayaked and fished during high tide in the Natire Preserve, so much fun. Caught some awesome fish while in the bay fishing and from the pier. Condominium had much information regarding local hot spots and fun in the sun. We will return!"

  • We had a wonderful stay. Robin is an excellent host and replied promptly when we had questions.

"Wonderful vacation in a well equipped comfortable home in a quiet friendly beach community. We enjoyed the beach, local shopping, restaurants, fishing & crabbing and picnicking near our home away from home. We were looking for vacation without crowds and hustle & bustle of city since have that on a regular basis in Philadelphia. Teenagers might object but we were and older group with younger grandchildren this vacation was perfect for"

  • Nice country cottage!

"This home was perfect for "home base" to visit Williamsburg, Assateague Island and Kiptopeke Park. The town of Cape Charles was cute and had some great restaurants and Kiptopeke was so close. A few things that were fine for us but might bug other people. 1. The bedrooms didn't have blinds (it's out in the country so privacy isn't an issue but the sun will come in your room early) We get up early so no big deal. 2. There wasn't a tv and there didn't seem to be Internet (although we had a grumble, our kids can live unplugged for a few days). 3. It is a country living (which we enjoyed) but you will have to deal with well water. But as long as you're flexible, it's a great place and a great value!!"
