"I can't speak enough about this home, our time here was nothing but super. The pictures of this home on the site don't really do any justice, the inside of this home is amazing. We traveled from upstate New York and we have been accustomed to having homes that are cozy, this home fit the bill. The home is very clean and owner's definitely takes alot of pride in what they own. With traveling with teenagers an 8 year old the pool couldn't have been more spot on. The home is very good location to all on the island. My family would just like to say thank you very much for letting us stay at your home. We are already looking forward to next year."

  • Perfect rental in a quiet and convenient location

"For a group of 8 we felt like there was ample shared space and bedroom space. The entire process was very easy and comprehensive instructions were provided the week prior and getting in and out was seamless. Location was number one for us and this couldn't have hit the mark better as we were just around the corner from the clubhouse which was extremely convenient for playing golf as well as grabbing a bite at the clubhouse restaurant. The group enjoyed the course and location so much that we are looking to do a repeat visit next year and will certainly consider this property first."

  • Tranquil setting with fabulous views

"Having taken our young children to Chincoteague for years, we decided to go back with our young adult children for another family vacation. Goosebay was spacious, sunny, and comfortably accomodating for our large adult family. It surpassed the description and photos. The views of the bay from the porch and kitchen were a pleasant surprise. (I thought it was only visible from the upstairs deck and bedroom). The screened porch was a beautiful place to sit and listen to the sounds of nature and enjoy sunset on the bay. The water was a short walk from the house. The property is nestled among trees off the main road so it is perfect for younger children. The property manager(Harbor Realtors) was courteous and quick to respond to our needs and questions. Our family enjoyed swimming, clamming, fishing and biking, as well as dining out in local restaurants. My favorite part was waking up with a cup of coffee to the beautiful views! I would stay here again as I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, ,spacious rental with a bay view."

  • Well-Kempt Condo in Great Location

"The owner of this condo provided all linens and even a full kit of toiletries for each bathroom, which was a pleasant surprise. Everything was pristine and clean when we arrived and unpacking was easy with the elevator located right by the unit. The keypad lock was extremely convenient as we did not have to worry about keys as people in our party came and went to the beach, to the pool, to the store, antiquing, etc. and it was nice not having to go to a property company to check in. The complex was quiet and provided wonderful sunset views. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of downtown Chincoteague with all of its charming shops and restaurants to the north and the fairgrounds to the south. As an added plus, the new Jackspot Grill at the adjacent hotel has a fun outdoor bar area right on the water, although they have a limited menu. If/when you drive to the beach, taking the back streets is recommended to avoid the stoplights. There is a good assortment of children's books and board games. There was not much in the way of books or movies. Fortunately the weather was splendid the entire time we were visiting the island so this was not an issue for us, but if you are a bookworm, you should bring your own reading materials. The unit also has a closet which was well-stocked with beach chairs, an umbrella, and noodles for the pool. There were also plenty of towels. Of course, I can't fail to mention how thoughtful the owner was. She provided gift baskets both for us and for the kids which only sweetened--quite literally--our effortless arrival. The only downside for us was that the dining table only has four chairs of the correct height. The other chairs and stools were for the taller breakfast bar on the kitchen island, so unfortunately we could not all share the same table when we dined in. This was only a minor inconvenience however. As a more general note which is not a reflection on the condo at all, I would advise anyone visiting Chincoteague to bring plenty of bug spray and to check with the town regarding the mosquito spraying schedule when planning your stay as it can be quite buggy on the island, especially if there has been a lot of rain. All told, we had a lovely week and were thoroughly pleased with our accommodations. We would definitely recommend this property to others and would happily stay there again."
