Rose Cottage is ideal for bushwalkers, birdwatchers, families & couples wanting to relax in the peaceful surroundings as well as friends and family wanting to enjoy the restaurants and scenic sights within walking distance of Rose Cottage.

If you enjoy walking it will take approximately 20 minutes to walk to Katoomba Railway Station and village shops, cafes & restaurants.

Or a 3 minute bus ride which you can catch around the corner from Rose Cottage. Taxis are also available. Leura is also just a short drive away with its many speciality shops, cafes and restaurants.

Wonderful Location!!

We loved our stay at Rose Cottage. As people who live outside of Australia, we were amazed by all the Cockatoo in the area, and other beautiful birds. It was within walking distance of the beautiful Blue Mountains hikes and downtown Katoomba. I really loved the character of the cottage, and we were also happy spending time ‘at home’ there. It had everything that we needed.

Perfect stay

Surrounded by birds (even a Lyre bird in the garden!) and so close to the bush, but then also so close to all the amenities. This is a great cottage for a perfect Mountains holiday.

Short trip

It is a beautiful and comfortable well decorated cottage. We were very comfortable during our two nights stay. Close to most things to see in Leura and Blue Mountains. New big bathroom was great and very nice. Having said that, we thought that for three bedrooms property, at least two bathrooms would have been more convenient. This is just an idea for the host. We still enjoyed the house and highly recommend it. Thanks Marilla.

Charming cottage in great location

Rose Cottage was perfect for a short getaway with my two sisters. It’s cosy and comfortable, surrounded by a lovely, lush garden oasis. It’s in a very quiet location while being close to all of the local attractions. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

A lovely warm welcome awaited us from Marilla and the cottage itself manages to be quaint and cosy as well as very spacious with everything you need for a fantastic holiday. Dawn walks to see sunrise over the Jamison Valley and then up the street for great coffee became a morning ritual!

Tranquil location

We really enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage. Marilla was a pleasure to communicate with and the property was immaculate upon arrival. We especially enjoyed the quiet location which was within walking distance to The Three Sisters and several walking trails/hikes. Marilla made an extra effort to acknowledge my husband’s birthday which was very appreciated. I recommend this property without hesitation.

Delightful Midweek escape

Marilla's beautifully appointed cottage was ideal for 2 ladies in their mid 90's and 2 younger guests. The accommodation had all the comforts of home, was warm and cosy with comfortable beds and an unexpected welcome of wine and chocolates and fresh flowers from the garden in each room. Couldn't have been better for our group. We'll be coming back again for sure

Beautiful cottage

We loved our stay in Rose cottage. It was even better than the photos with an open plan kitchen/dining and living area opening up to a lovely back garden. Walks started 5 minutes away and it was super quiet. Communication with Marilla was easy and prompt. Love to come back in summer!

Excellent Stay

Rose Cottage is a beautiful home that has been impeccably maintained and is a great place to stay in the Blue Mountains. It is in a very quiet area but still very convenient. Marilla has gone to a lot of trouble to make the house comfortable with plenty of heating and lovely furnishings. The welcome touches including fresh flowers from the garden in all the rooms and a bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival were a lovely extra. Thank-you!

What a Gorgeous Find

We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Rose Cottage, it was much more than we expected and the wine and chocolates were such a pleasant surprise and welcoming gift. The property is adorable and has everything needed for a very luxurious stay. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens and cooking our meals each evening, it was so comfortable and inviting you simly do not want to leave. A sincere thanks to Marilla & team for one of the most enjoyable stays we've had in the Blue Mountains over the past 30 years. The location of the property is superb and away from the masses yet close enough to walk to many of the attractions. We will definitely be back and would love to experience this gorgeous property in the winter. An extremely highly recommended property and excellent service throughout the entire process, thanks again for the opportunity to stay at Rose Cottage.
